Considering this was in a time of still comparatively poor medical assistance for AIDs, to have survived for 4 years after this point while still being creative, speaks of great strength and determination.

I love hearing him speak, reading quotas from him. The way he peppers his speech with endearing vocal ticks and terms of endearment which I lifted directly to give to one of my own fictional characters. There’s just enough of a hint of camp to his speaking voice that it’s not cringy and it’s delicate like powdered sugar but also caught, with a sanded down rough edge and the couler of silky maltant cobalt. His singing voice is resonant, bouncing around the ample space in his throat and carrying over a stadium full of people with an impossible range and a vibrato that quivers exquisitely like Mays intimation on the guitar.

    Favourite Queen song: ALL!!!
I loved when he performed in the Nepstadion. That was the first rock concert in the Communist Block. He song Tavaszi Szel Vizet Araszt. It's a traditional Hungarian folk song.

Freddie Mercury is my favourite singer of all time. I saw QUEEN live in 2014 with Adam Lambert and they blew me away. What made me listen to Freddie was his powerful and incredible voice. I never heard anyone like him before. I was 14 at the time I heard of him. By the time I was 15 I was the ultimate fan. There are multiple celebrities I have read about in the past but the star I read more about was Freddie.

I have a very similar story. I think I was 16 or 17 when Freddie died. I became a big fan of his right around that time and my biggest regret is that I never got to see him live. I did get to see Queen and Adam Lambert in 2014 in Chicago.

About the Freddie tribute show, it must have been weird for Brian, John, and Roger to hear other people sing the songs that Freddie usually did while they played and sang backup. These days, Brian and Roger are used to it, with Paul and Adam and so on. But that soon after Freddie died, must have been hard.

For me, the most memorale moment from Freddy is, when he sang the "Tavaszi szél vizet áraszt" in Budapest 1986. :)

His taking the time to practice it prior to the concert just showed his commitment to the fans. I love the little interludes to that concert probably more than the concert itself for that reason.
