Man this is why I rewatch these videos several times because I will catch some stuff I didn’t before, like a really good movie you watch over and over and notice new things every time, like the gun being out of battery up close I never even think to practice that if not for Mickey
The differing perspectives and backgrounds of the instructors is creating real value for the students. Everyone, including the instructors, learn and improve from this, everyone gets better! That is a great class experience!
This is the best of the best , these s12 videos show how surrounding yourself with great people inspires greatness. Thanks mickey and drew
Can't believe he puts these videos out for free this is awesome! I would be so hype to take a class if I could!
Teaching under pressure and stress, best way to learn. You need more classes in the N. IL, Wis. area!!
I really want to take this training! Just watching this, I felt the tension. I could easily see this video saving my life or preventing me from blowing off my hand. Many things to practice.
Thanks for making these videos available to all
Great and invaluable information carrytrainer. Thanks again for sharing 🙏🏼👍🏼
Great video, always learn something. And the "Tito" lines are hysterical!
1:18 “I shot you like five times..”
Lmao
Looks like fun. I like practicing shooting from retention at the range at 5 yards or so. I'm just a beginner (shooting for only 6 months) but it has been the highlight of my year, and I am happy to say that I have my CPL. Along with a LOT of people here in Michigan!
My old neck of the woods!!!! Great video. Great training. Thank you.
At 16:23. thank you for mentioning that, just last week a firearms instructor was arguing with me when I talked about possibly slicing your hand, I have always done what you just showed.
Now I know I am also probably likely to forget the slap before the rack. it seems so simple to remember, but not always under stress! Very good information thank you
Great teachers ,life saving information . Thank you!
3 great instructors, 3 different types of work to get the job done. But on Micky wanted TITO for himself. Nice job on the BLEEPS Drew all the F's and not the S's. Nice work and yes I'm taking notes on these training video's THANKS AGAIN I'll catch you guys on IG😎😎😎
Great demonstration
We do the first section often in our JKD Kali class. Well done !!
Great video .... somehow I get the feeling that Tito’s hotel was some past experience LMAO luv that you guys run a serious but light hearted class. I hope to be in a future class to refresh my skill set. Keep up the good work!
Mike and Mickey are polar opposites in the way they deliver training, but they work well together and I love it. Bring in our retired green beret and we have a well rounded team. I would pay for this trio.
you keep live ! love watching
I love these training videos, Micks knowledge and experience is fantastic and the humor is awsome! Tito I'm not going to your hotel room...LMAO. keep the videos coming Mick.
I know the video is old but I hadn't seen it.As always, another great video.Keep them coming Mick.
I love that you post these Mick. I wanna come to a training and definitely will when I have the funds to do so but until then I can at least see and hear sound theory and teaching
Thanks Mike. Also that Shirt was resent
CarryTrainer awesome! Sounds good
At contact range, I prefer to keep the weapon at hip level and hit below the belt for weapon retention. Because the weapon is so close to my own body I rotate it outward so the slide will cycle and not get jammed against me. Very good training video that most don't consider.
Great video!
He's a masterful technician and hilarious but his pistol level is amazing I'd luv to train one day with this GURU OF THE GUN
Great video. 👍
I love what i see, make a lot of sense.
Great training.
Super informative
Good Good Team Work
"Excuse me. Um, you're causing like a malfunction here. So if you could like pivot slightly, or step back" hahahaaha
Very good information, great vid
Great video.
Good stuff! The wrestling for the gun at the beginning was also a great time to deploy a blade. I like keeping one on my "support" side. My favorite blade of choice is a Cold Steel push / punch blade. Due to it's design they are very easy to use, if you can punch you can use one. No years of training. They come in all styles and sizes. I also love karambits but they do require more technique to use. Great training shown in this video!!
At 20:30 flank and circle , that is how I trained 20 years ago, I never understood running backwards blindly
what black jacket does that instruct have on
Great stuff ty!
“You’re a kind man, you’re a kind man”. 😂😂😂 :dead:
Very good 👍
Dude I’d love to come to one of your classes. These look ton of fun
Im not far from Myrtle Beach, when is the next course?
Where does this guy do all this training I really wanna get on q plane and take some of his courses this freaking awesome
I wanna go to this class soooooo bad
Any thoughts on ported barrels with close contact shooting?
Lol at the beginning, I really want to go the class now.
With ur classes on real life scenarios do trainees receive adequate understanding of what can happen after to a person after they survived one of these scenarios? Not just in regards to the legality of it all but what can happen to the mentality of someone who survived one of these scenarios.
Fucking love the vibe of this class, true gunfighters dedicated to their craft of teaching. Would love to take one of these classes. Come over to MA for a class we need some good courses here! 🤙🏻
This is why guys should incorporate grip strength into their regimen. It’s not complicated to do and translates nicely into real world applications like wrist control or in this case muzzle redirection.
or a least hit the weight room often
Agreed
I've had a double feed in that scenario in training and I was toast.
Mickey cracks my shit up!
Booger hook on bang switch we had guys stepp off line weapon not in holster omg 😱 that’s y I teach my wife n kid that all done can’t handle this knowledge
What does Mickey carry?
24:50 “take it easy take it easy”. Mic looked like he was about to hit the dirt.
5:50 gay batman voice. Sounds pretty persuasive to me 😂😂😂
I'm not going back to titos hotel room. lmfao
At 17:00, what is the instructors holster?
Two of us standing there. Mine is a Blade Tech. Mikes is a Safariland
uuuuh but tito loves you!!!!
15:29 I'm sorry, but can anyone explain what are the timers and switches please...
Timers- hitting organs, will cause bleeding and incapacitate over time.
Switches- hitting an area of the head that immediately incapacitates, ie. Switching them off.
@@goldtdig2 thanks really!
The antidote for all this troubles = revolver
Sir, do you have training or videos on self defense with your wife? By that I mean can you make a video on how a couple can work as a team in self defense encounters? Thanks for the video. 👍🏼🇺🇸
He has a husband and wife class on his website.
Hey brother as always thanks for keeping me up way to late at night watching your videos! Could you tell us about some affordable 1911 styles guns that are worth buying for us guys trying to live on disability checks. It takes me about a year of saving each dollar to have about $550. Obviously a grand takes longer to save so somewhere in that range so I don't make a bad purchase. Thanks again for teaching those of us who want to be proficient and safe with our protection of self and family.
Yeah, I bet you're on disability if you're looking for a cheap 1911.
Homiside Doodz Yea enjoying something that really is a bit out of my financial range sucks but shit what's a better stress reliever than shootin at the range lol. My old man handed me down a couple of 9mm but moving near black bear and cougar country so I figured I better get something that won't just piss a big animal off. If you know of anything I should look at I would take that info brother. Thanks
David Stunning Why not? I grabbed one for the first time a few weeks ago and it felt awesome in my hands. But truth be told it was a very expensive gun and maybe that's why. It was called something like a shadow hawk or night hawk but it was $3400 and that's a never going to have pistol for me lol
Why that platform?
CarryTrainer No real reason. Wanted something larger than a 9mm for mountain lion protection and picked a 1911 up for the first time and liked the skinny feel it had. I'm all ears for any thing you got to say about it. I just can't make a bad choice when it comes to protecting my neice when we go fishing. Thanks for taking the time brother.
is that Rob Picanus at 15:30-ish?
No
Hahaha...awesomeness
MY LORD IT JUST GETS WORSE!!!!
I.e. when Ben was on the line at 23 min in, u asked "are you scared"? B/c the sad fact is anyone would b scared to loose their life. All the firearms training in the world won't be able to help a scared person be mentally able to except the fact that they could die.
Watching video's like this make me wish I was American!! Then I watch the news and Im glad Im not again.. Swings and roundabouts
Oh my lord, dude in blue shirt....don't say, just Do!!
bjj. I would've slapped a kimura on.
10:24 could have gone really bad.
Who sat here and watched the whole thing even tho u own a revolver?
Did Tito survived? 😁
Hahaha
That guy @23:30 is kind of unsafe. Hes running faster than his brain can operate. He needs to slow down or hes going to hurt himself or someone else.
He was trying to quickly execute the drill. While it is meant to induce stress to a degree I think it’s easily forgotten that it’s also a class in which making mistakes and building speed are totally good things! People worry about the pressure to perform when with others.
IG for guy at 19:58
Instructor Z is cool, and the other guy is interminable.
In training, I wouldn't wrestle with people who have their loaded guns on them ... They could instinctively draw it, and if they don't do that, they just programmed themselves not to go for a draw in a situation where they should do it.
That's the biggest load of shit ever. What you are missing is context. I would advise against speaking on matters in which you have little understanding.
TacticalDesire agreed
29:42 Awww whos driving the minivan! Dont think I can take firearms training advice from someone who drives a minivan... I'm guessing Mike, he seems like a minivan kinda guy.
Funny and I love minivans
Hey minivans are awesome!
@@akhoneybee9076 NOPE!
Good stuff but seems a little unorganized. Are you teaching self defense because some of the stuff Mike was saying about moving forward would be considered offensive not defensive and could get someone in trouble with a court of law.
Its hard to teach cops who have been on a while.
Damn people in south Carolina are slow. 😂
gun disarm
Civilians should back up to create distance ....guns are distance tools.
😂😂😂
Why tap rick,... because it will fix most problems with the gun. Ala James Yeager and I don't give a shit who said it first just do it.
Ala James Yeager huh. That isn't a JY thing or any persons thing. It's a observation of what is
Fuck is that Mike Levy guy ever annoying. You can identify an LE firearms instructor instantly LOL
The trainer with the orange whistle is gross
Great video!
