Love my 2014, only downside is the mpg and the break squeak I get when first moving the car after sitting. I’m told it’s surface rust on the rotors and fine but it’s annoying

Got a 2015 about 8 months ago with 40k miles, I’m at 51k now and it’s been amazing, I work at lexus so maintenance is very cheap 👌🏻 very comfy, I only wish it had just a tad bit more zip to match Infiniti’s
@@Nick-qj4su Common problems I usually see are brake noise from surface rust, totally normal. Wheel bearings and sometimes headlight malfunctions

Very good, though I have had apple car play/android auto in previous cars, and I prefer to not have it. I just find having yr phone connected to yr car very distracting. I can take calls via Bluetooth, and that is all that I require.

Yes, possible but your turn by turn direction voice will not be audible. Better way to go about this is to download the FM radio and inset the music from USB stick to the phone.

I saw on beat Sonic Toyota Sienna installation video that you have a USB connector kit to car USB port.
This would be very useful for Lexus cars. Do you have similar product for Lexus?
The two-USB hub type port does not support it. However, if your Lexus has single USB port, it will be compatible with the same USB harness used for the Toyota models

question is yrs 3rd party install mines is a 3rd party install from previous owner of car when I bought the car owner connected it up for me. many months ago I disconnected my phone from it as it was peeing me off connecting to apply car play everytime I turned car on to drive it. I reconnected it but for love nor money I can’t get my phone to play sound to the car via the Apple car play. I’ve tried everything I can think of wife connected, Bluetooth connected etc. It also mirrors from my phone to the car but again stood no sound? I have everything paired up. What am I doing wrong? If this was your own car, wouldn't you have routed the USB/Lightning cable down into the middle console?
I would have routed to the center console as shown in the video as I keep my phone in the cup holder for easy access. I try to keep things in the center so I don’t have to look for things and fiddle around while driving
I have an error 2013 gs350 multimedia n climate error that can't load content to the screen (the screen is on and mouse pointer still able to move and select tab on the screen) if I use this carplay would it be able to functional again? And about the volume control is it still using the volume knob or controlled from the connected iphone. Thank you
This will not fix any preexisting conditions. It will use the volume knob

How is the same generation GS, GWL10 from 2012 (not previous generation S190) any different from a 2013 and why is it incompatible with this system?
In the US 2012 GS was from the previous generation. International markets can be different
@@BeatSonicUS I see, so 2012 in the US they still sold the 3rd generation S190 model? Other than that, in the 4th gen GWL10 model, do you know of any differences which would be incompatible with your system? I have a 2012 GS450h F Sport which otherwise looks exactly like the car in this video.
When will the correct aspect ratio update come out? The stretched look is kind of annoying lol
It’s out now. The 2013-2015 is still the same. We can change the radio but won’t fully utilize the screen real estate on the 2013-2015

I'll answer my own question, instructions that come with kit do state to disconnect the battery.
Yes we recommend disconnecting the battery to be safe.

Julian Habito correct this kit is also compatible with Android Auto. Installation is exactly the same. The device will auto detect what is being connected and display either carplay or android auto accordingly. It’s running off the OS on your phone so it’s not necessary. We had this since iOS 11

Just installed in my 2014 GS 350 F Sport and noticed that the video will sometimes turn slightly fuzzy around the edges and in order to correct it, i have to long hold the map to turn off carplay and then long hold to turn it on again for the video to be clear and stable. It also appears that the video is slightly stretched taller in dimension. Anyone else these issues? Ended up not using the noise loop that was included as it would make static noise if moved as the 3.5 jack was not secure.
Hi Richard, Please take a video of the slightly fuzzy video image to us at info@beatsonicusa.com. The slightly stretch is to utilize the entire screen of the GS without having any empty black areas. Noise Loop isolator is not required but recommended as you may hear a faint high pitched noise when volume is really loud. You may secure the 3.5mm connections with an electric tape.
Looks like the edge issue was related to my div switch being in 5 instead of 5 and 6. I will put the noise isolator back as I did hear the loud pop. The volume seems lower than stock radio and confirmed that the setting is at 56 - when going from SAT to AV for CarPlay the volume is much lower.
Yes, please try dip switch 5 and 6. Unfortunately the pop noise will remain when you turn on your vehicle in A/V mode. The volume on A/V mode is adjusted independently than you other sources, please make the adjustment accordingly.
It’s been some months but I still get the fuzzy edges and the color is off now - I’m okay with pop sound sound as I have gotten used to it m. Is there another firmware update that have corrected issues like this?
