Lower Eagle River - 3722cfs?
River Description "American Whitewater"
The Eagle River is a popular run with rafters, beginner and intermediate kayakers, fishermen because its mostly Class II with a few Class III rapids and some good surf waves here and there.
Below the HWY 131 bridge after a sharp right turn in the river is Trestle Rapid which can be scouted river right and looking from the bridge. Read and run.
At the intersection of the river and the Interstate 70 bridge is Interstate Rapid.
Dead Cow Rapid is the last real rapid in this stretch of river. It is a straightforward wave train with a hole in the middle that hit. Don’t let it getcha. Just roll.
Dead Cow can be scouted from HWY 6 about mile marker 154 - there is a pullout marked as a day use area
The rest of the runout is Class II.
If you’re feeling frisky you can run “Rumble Seat” a Class IV rapid downstream of the takeout at Chambers Park.
ReactR M
Ride higher and drier in rapids, scream into eddies faster than ever, and find your line without any limitations. The ReactR is Pyranha's most innovative design yet, and opens new doors within the world of creek and river running for kayakers of all abilities.
In the design of the ReactR, Pyranha have spent significant time developing an entirely new style of hull, with a perfectly positioned pivot point and two planning surfaces, one in front and another behind, which the paddler can switch between with ease. This means the boat is stable both when landing a drop on the bow and when planning out of features on the tail. You want that skip, and Pyranha have delivered.
This isn't just a kayak - it's a statement about Pyranha's commitment to leading the charge and progressing the sport through design innovation. The ReactR’s development tore up the rulebook on creek boat design and rewrote it - embrace the new era of whitewater kayaking!

Nice little run on the Eagle. Thanks for posting
It’s such a nice fun float
You had me at Wave Trains, my favorite feature
Hahah yeah this one is a good float
Hey Wade,
I'm curious: what base length are you using in your paddle 197 or 200. I tried the Kober Rebel ECF recently and liked it a lot at 201. Just can't decide now what length to get it.
Anyway, awesome Video and good job getting that rafter to dry land!!
Almost all my paddles are 2 pieces now and they are no less then 200cm and adjustable to 205cm
Thanks
I’m liking that ReactR. How’s the outfitting now that you have some miles on it?
So far no issues I been very rough on it testing it out the cords frayed up slightly but everything holding up well
@@WadeHarrison
