    Great fun Greame. Buy the way a good wick that could be found naturally is what is called Punk wood, obtained from rotten tree stumps. That and a sea shell. Would it domany good to dip your bait in that oil as an extra attractor? I love all this zombie apocalypse stuff.

    an added benefit to using fish oil for light, you can also use it to cook all of the possums,racoons and skunks that will show up at your place looking for a free fish dinner

    one question how long would the burn last? lets say with one fluid oz of oil? one thing you didnt mention is the fish oil can be used as a suplemental food source in a serious pinch

    • @TAOutdoors
      @TAOutdoors  Před 7 lety +1

      Never measured 1 fluid ounce so have no idea.I did a burn a couple of nights ago and a small tin lid burned for an hour and a quarter but that was using a proper shop bought wick.

      darren oriordan Yes,there would be no metal once its used up,so having a knowledge of how iron is made would be one of the greatest assets.The use of iron implements,for cooking and hunting undoubtedly moved the human race up the food chain. Glad you like the channel,will be more to come but we are flat out with our Totally Awesome Fishing Show channel at present.

    Try a thick dead annual weed stem for a wick. Let it soak a bit before lighting, it transfers oil better after soaking well in the oil.
