I don't know why Andy Griffith said he struck out in the movies he did before TAGS. I've never seen "A Face in the Crowd", but I've heard good reviews about it. And I really like "No Time for Sergeants". In fact I have it in my DVD library. I have a feeling the Gomer Pyle series was probably based on "No Time for Sergeants".
