- Doing this one as a box-stock build but primarily for a good friend of mine, JD, who is getting back into the hobby. Building the AMT 1970 1/2 Camaro this time out, today working on sanding, scribing, more sanding, a goof on the hood, and priming the sub assemblies. Pretty cool kit, come check us out!
We don't just build cool kits and have fun doing so, but we hope this channel inspires people to go out and buy and build kits that they can enjoy, as well. Take care!

Man, Iove building scale models since I was 7yrs old. Back in the 70s. My older brother got me into them. Guess from that I like working on cars. Own couple muscle cars. You make them your own.
Totally agree!
That's going to be a beauty one done but I also agree the 70 and a half Camaro was a beautiful piece of work can't wait to see the final result of this
Great Video!!!! Thanks for sharing
Great start David. A very good video to help some one just starting. Ron
Nice molded orange color. I need to build this 70 Camaro some day.🙂
Looking really nice David
Nice video going over the processes!
👍
Great kit👍
I was just eyeballing that kit at Wally World.... I'll get one eventually. I have the Baldwin Motion version already. Will be following your progress.
Your Camaro body looks better than the one I got, mine had sink spot in the middle of the roof from the doom light, above the headlights, my hood was ok but the subframe, and lower front splash pan was warped and tons of flash. Looking forward to seeing how yours comes out.
Thanks for the video
I noticed I had a sink mark in the roof exactly where you said it on the roof, but it didn't show up until I had painted it, you'll see it in the next video. I'll remember it when I build the ProTouring Camaro next time. But yeah, the hood's still a bit warped, the other parts look OK (so far).
It's not a kit I would recommend for new builders, but it looks good when you do the prep work. Good job going over some of the basics.🤠👍
Totally agree. I'm going to put together a video soon about which ones I think would be better suited for new builders.
I have that kit but have not built it yet. I heard it’s got lots of fitment issues. I’ll be watching this build.
It definitely has its issues, I'm actually going to be showcasing them in tonight's video. Don't let that stop you from trying to build the kit yourself though, it's not a bad kit, just not a really good one.
