- Metrea Simulations is proud to present an update to the NOR platform, including the new JTAC Trainer module.
The NOR platform is capable of simulating all domains and is focused on networked tactical training. The platform is using physics-based simulation with 64-bit physics and a high-fidelity recreation of the earth that is built using our NOR world pipeline. We use multiple layers of data to procedurally re-create the world in a beautiful and context rich manner. We don’t only show you what the world looks like, but also what it is made of. This enables deep and meanigful interaction with the environment for sensor modelling and other applications.
NOR is showcased at I/ITSEC 2022 in Orlando. Come visit us and fly the F-16C, EF-2000, and MH-60S in VR, and guide a networked F-16C to target in our new JTAC Trainer.
Metrea Simulations is a subsidiary of Metrea, an information age defense contractor based in Washington DC.
This needs to get a civil branch for the gaming community. Lots of free beta testers. Ask the DCS World Open Beta community ;)

@@mash_35-E there's a stable DCS ? Where ? (Kappa)
@@Elpollo973 xD
@@Elpollo973 The discontinued 1.X version is pretty stable. And by stable I mean the version does not change anymore :)
@nicolas marin I think he's talking about an version with civil access, not civil aircrafts
I'd love for this to be actually released for the public, probably not with all of its features since Metrea is supposed to be a defense contractor but still...If this ends up being a DCS competitor, I'm heading into this with no hesitation. Whole world map? Actual optimization? Yes. Amazing graphics with the help of UE5? Yes. Full fidelity F-16, Eurofighter, Gripen, MiG-29...or at least those are SOME that we know of...YES!
we all know DCS could use some competition, maybe it forces them to fix the sim
@@semvision My exact point also!
@@semvision HA! It’s funny you think Eagle Dynamics would actually *fix* their game. They’d probably let it die out before they even think to fix it
@@d_kortman you sure?
@@noobeip2 have you ever played DCS? It’s been stuck in the early 2000’s since it was released. They haven’t really kept up with technological advancements since then. 32gb of ram recommended is ridiculous, and even with 32gb it’s barely enough to run smoothly in multiplayer. Sooo I’m pretty sure
Please release a public version. There is a huge group of disillusioned DCS players desperate for anywhere else to bring their hobby.🙏

You are right, it is mainly F-16 if you look for hardcore sim.
@@tortordenful "no vr" ... yet. (in Beta tests at this moment, still some works to do but should be available "relatively soon" for initial vr release => won't be perfect for sure, but should be usable).
This looks incredible, I hope your team considers a civilian release. This is what I've dreamed of DCS and ARMA becoming for years, but we're not quite there yet.
whats makes this incredible, from a graphics standpoint it's no better than DCS.... worse in some areas
@@coreyhayes5411 the visual quality isn't a big deal to me, I agree it looks similar to DCS. The main features that excite me are seeing 5th gen aircraft, having world wide terrain ala MFS, the JTAC Trainer module, and since this is for the military I assume the AI will be more challenging and realistic to human behavior than DCS.
@@HypePerformanceGroup if theres ever a civilian release, dont expect the 5th gen/4.5th gen aircraft, theyre classified
@@kubefs very true
@Collin Novak they dont have accurate flight models and systems
I have spent more money inside DCS than all of my game purchases combined. That is generally the story with every DCS player. You should give this a Civilian version and release this for the general public.
P.s : Just do not forget multicore support and optimization.
haha multicore joke made me laugh, this does seem great but i mean we already have DCS and I believe I saw somewhere that this costs around $2000 for access. Unfortunately for me I've spent more on another game than just DCS, even though i own every map and Module, it doesn't top iRacing
And multiplayer
Please let there be some form of public release. We need this to be a direct competitor to DCS. Without competition there won't be improvements anywhere, be it military flight sim or milsim in general.
For real, I'd pay fairly well to play this simulator. it looks amazing! You guys should consider releasing it for the public. Knowing the average DCS costumer, I'm sure they would be willing to spend a lot of money on this XD. Besides, if it's actually a combined arms simulator instead of just a flight simulator, people would lose their shit. This is the kind of stuff I've been waiting for years! Congratulations on the initiative even if it's only for the military!
DCS isn’t just a flight simulator lol
You can control ground units
@@SPFLDAngler Yeah but the Combined Arms module is being neglected like a lot of the stuff ED makes.
let it be a DCS competitor I swear I will buy into this as soon as I can
please

Why buying? ... more accurate than DCS (a bit less cosmetics) but free: czcams.com/video/UayVlUyEO5s/video.html

RIGHT Metrea the people have spoken . We want this for the domestic market. Make it happen.
Please for the love of military aviation, make this a dcs competitor.
We all already know that you would win out.
It's a short marketing video. We don't know anything.
If this doesn't release for civil use, I'm signing to the Army 😭
Looks cool. But so did TitanIM. So until something is released, I'd suggest to treat it as a really pretty, yet non-functional marketing demonstration.
Woow! This is everything I want for my home-simulator! Please let a version of this be accessible to the public.
It feel like the first time I got the chance to play a PC tactical game.
A public release is sorely needed. DCS has little to no competition currently and it shows!
Yes! If public can get this so they can have a different choice than Russian made DCS, that would be A M A Z I N G ! !
We really need this in the consumer market.
I will Beta anytime for this platform.... being a Vet; it would be an honor and a lot of flight time !! Salute Bring it on the community awaits. "Eaglehrt"
Yes please Civil Release!! Longtime DCS and BMS player sais: This DCS clusterf... desperatly needs competition. The global community is enormous big for that!
The dcs community will watch you with great intreast
Please for the love of everything release at least part of this to the public
Yes! Please go public with this!!! 😎
I'm not so worried. This sim seem to be a project that is perfectly feeted for pro AND public customers, the way the communication is done also reflect it totally :D
Brother this is a government contractor for the DOD. I doubt these developers have seriously considered a civilian version. A lot of what was shown in this video alone was probably programmed and designed around classified information. Some of the most tightly guarded information in the United States
Edit: not trying to rain on your parade. I really wish us CIVs could have access to this, but I doubt we will.
@@d_kortman You never know! Maybe they'll get permission and sanitize the data so we actually can get a public release? Anything is possible, after all.

please make a civil version of this!

Looks great. We can dream... Although there is an assumption that it would run well and it may not. Ps good idea to change the company name! That may have got confusing...
Would be really cool and neat to have a public version of this sim release. Would definitely pay the cost of a triple A game for this
or individual modules if this ends up being similar to DCS and IL-2 in the monetization aspect.
it costs £1900 for beta access if you want it, its no different than DCS in the fact that its made for the Airforce. If you like the ground unit side, you'll be vary knowing DCS is working on that for 2024

Wow wow wow!!!
finally, the project isnt dead
its being built for a defense contracter so i assume it was never actually dead, just not in a state to be shown to the public
I suppose the only question is - are you confident enough in your product to take it into the gaming community, rather than solely military - are are you scared its not actually that good?
That JTAC integration looks interesting, is that a first person shooter component?

Please make a DCS competitor.
Guy, you seriously NEED to make this open to the flight sim community. You will make WAY more money than with military contracts. We would be all about this. Way more than DCS
I doubt it. 1 of their sims is probably $100K thanks to government pockets being limitless.
Will it have a more realistic flight model than DCS?
👏👏👏👏
IF you guys dont bring this to the Civvy market I swear to GOD... im going to come and take it. You have been warned! lol
DCs players have deep pockets. Bring this to them and profit.
WE WANT THIS! Many of us here have experiences like X-Plane, Prepar3D, DCS, BMS, etc, and WE PAYS FOR HIGH QUALITY SIMS!
Name your price for each copy of civic version please.
I'd be pretty sure there are lots of people out there that would pay top dollar for a civilian component of this simulator. Of course all the top secret squirrel stuff doesn't need to be included and no one would want it anyways but everything else including VR sure would be welcome by civilian flight Sim fans. This is a DCS killer
no suspension on landing gear of F-16?
I would pay an absurd amount to play this
Yes! does this then have VR support? Please make it for public simmers real.
will be available for public with some unclassified airplanes? I m very waiting something like that! :)
i'd assume this would need a semi-supercomputer to run (which is not a problem for the military)
a civilian release is probably not a good idea. we'll need to wait for 5090ti or something.
There’s at least 100,000 total DCS players and roughly 10,000 regular active players that would buy this. If you release it to the civilian market for $100 that’s a good $1M in revenue from the start, not including additional modules and add-ons.
I don’t know how much your government contracts are but I’m sure a few million in extra revenue wouldn’t hurt :)
Military contracts pay a lot more. P3D pro is 350$, p3D pro plus is 2700$.
A2A simulations stated multiple times in the past that they made more money of military contracts than they ever did with their fsx/p3d public products.
If this can be public, ED has to work real lly hard to keep the clients
I want this sim so much. I'm gonna sound like a broken record here, judging by the comment section, but please... make a branch that's suitable for release to the public. DCS and Falcon BMS players the world over would sploosh their pantaloons.
To be honest, I really want to play it. I mean REALLY.
Oh yeah it's seems so good but for big PC
System requirments?
what a trailor if this game has the potential to be competing with Dcs i think itll force Dcs to fix their game or at least release all the module that unfinished
Pretty graphics. But, no hype until a commercial version is released.
what bgm name is this
i didn't see anything in this video that i couldn't do in dcs. i actually though i was watching a DCS highlight reel. maybe next video you put out dont have the same aircraft that you can fly in DCS. i hope i am completely wrong but it looks like you took DCS and gave it your own shine and bam The Future of Military Simulation. hopefully you already know this but the military already has had Sims for a long time, some of them are from the Manufacture of the equipment that they are simulating. who would have the best information about the product your trying to sim? militaries all over the world have huge red flag events in sims, so good luck getting your foot into the door.
This does everything DCS says it will but fails to be.
If this gets a public release , I'm jumping ship without a doubt , if only for proper full fidelity aircrafts
Really? Have you played it? It hasn't done anything but show you a 2 min marketing video. Nothing about flight models, weapons systems, weather systems, enemy units, etc...

I don't even play DCS cause it just seems like it'd get boring quick. I play AC7 to get my fighter fix. But if NOR was public, I'd invest for this. This is gorgeous.
There's also Project Wingman, which has mappable hotas controls and still have arcade flight combat
I spent a lot of money on DCS modules a few years back and don't really use them. Main reason time and its a huge learn curve. The only aircraft really got sometime out of was the Huey I bought!
Doesn't understand, it's destinated to public or restrict for military ? Presentation looks like a new DCS simulation.
People will fork over hundreds for this, I guarantee you.
DCS... Take note.
cmon publishing a CZcams video for everyone to see when its content is only for military use? surely a simulator this good has to be available for us civilians at some time right? Best of luck to the team.

No disrespect to this game at all. But I hope this lights a fire under Eagle Dynamics ass and gets them to get their shit together
DCS has lots of other content, like many Russian weapon systems in detail, or many aircraft on top-notch quality (like Tomcat). This one is more modern and looks promising but we don't know the whole package yet. Anyways, good news for simulation world and salute to all virtual pilots.
Is this better than DCS?
This? : czcams.com/video/UayVlUyEO5s/video.html
Yes. definitively.
@@C.1.GALLET Well Played! ;)
So far it looks like it's not on-par with DCS, be it resolution and detail of textures, some simulation aspects like the landing gear, explosions, ... except for maybe the JTAC part that got added, but if they continue to improve and update this, it might be a pretty nice alternative, with maybe even better performance and multithreading, and it looked like the whole world got added, similar to MSFS 2020, right? that would also be awesome.. hopefully also for VR where you don't have to crank down resolution and graphics just to not get motion sick, like in DCS
Maybe they care more about performance than modeling some things no one really cares about ?
If this get's released as a consumer product, I just know that they're going to use human player's interactions to programme some military AI.
not for PC public
Why would you make a teaser for a Military only game, like we don't care if it's not going to be civil then
STILL NO WING FLEX , NO FLUTTER WHEN BOMB DROP
Shut up,take my money 🤑🤑
Do you think the software houses such as pmdg type could also migrate here?......or could airliners also be produced? what is missing is a single platform that brings together the merits of dcs in the military and those of msfs2020 in ground graphics and civilian aircraft
