The NX crankset is awesome, that's what I'm running on my Trek with a much shorter bottom bracket. Very cool idea to set it up as a fishing bike and the big headlight looks awesome. Gotta keep the new intro 🤘😎

I didnt know you guys were from NM!! My gramma and grandpa came to Cali from NM. I spent so much time there visiting family growing up, its a 2nd home state for me. Awesome. The light on the malus looks badass! Like a motorbike or something. Those cranks are way to good for that bike tho.

I got home last night and ordered a few parts (wider bars, chainring and headset spacers). I already have a new stem, pedals, grips, trigger shifter, crank arms and seat. Mine is the silver and red one with the weight relief holes in the rims.

I have watched this video many times. I really wanted a fat bike this year so bad seeing I live in Minnesota the best place for a fat bike but unfortunately I couldn’t find one other than the local bike shop. I didn’t have the cash for a 1800 dollar bike even tho it was killer! Keep up the great work guys!

Yes bud pretty cool bike . I love the simplistic design of the luggage carrier . I may just need to get one of them as it looks quick to fit and remove when not needed. Don't know about the new intro though . I thought you would have kept the mountain shot from the first one as that was cool.

The Axum might be the perfect bike for this channel, but it's so much like the Taff as far as what you can accomplish with it. It might be better looking, but I wonder if another "size large" 29er is even going to be something that you're going to enjoy.

Great looking bike. Gotta warn you though. I ran that same rack on my Dolomite and after tightening the clamp as much as I dared, it would work its way down on bumps till it was rubbing on the tire. I was riding dirt trails but not getting wild. Maybe some extra grip would help (sand paper?). Still I was concerned about the length of rack whipping on the seat post causing damage to something. I replaced it with a rack from EBAY, a no-name China rack. The big difference is the new rack has brace rods that clamp on the lower frame tubes. Really stiffens it all up. It also has much larger panier guards for saddle bags.

First of all, love what you do. Just purchased a mongoose and wanted to upgrade the brakes (Front and rear) and a quick shift (7 speed). Any recommendations?

any recommendations for a rear bike rack for the malus?? Loved the Schwinn one, however the issue I'm running into is that I'm 5'9" and have the seat pretty low, so the seat post mount isn't really an option. Seems like other options are slim too...any ideas on what may work and attach easily? Any help in the the right direction is greatly appreciated!! Love your vids! Hey guys, always bringing so much knowledge and always at budget too. Great Vids. So im new to the Fat Tire bike world, but im def getting one this Spring. It seems Mongoose is the leading company, and Ive narrowed down to the Dolomite and the Malus. (Argus and Juneau also looked legit) But im 6'1 and 230 lbs with Athletic background.
I have two Q's for you guys : A) Which Mongoose Fattie would suit me best? B) are mods like the ones you guys show something I will need to invest in, or are the bikes good to go bone stock>>?
Hey brother, appreciate you watching us and commenting.Now these are kinda upgrades and kinda just stuff for looks lol. My dad is 6'4" and he has rode the Malus and feels not too big on it, So i think it would fit you well. The only thing I would recommend sooner or later is to put some hydraulic brakes on it first. Then pedals and so on, but the bike stock is not a bad ride out of the box. I like the Malus and havent ever ridden a dolomite, but since you watch the channel you would know atleast what things would fit the Malus as opposed to the dolomite and the Malus has an internally routed derailleur cable which is cool. How is the crankset holding up, trashed the first set riding the trails after upgrades but it's been pretty great for the investment. Mongoose set me a backup crank set but the aluminum tends to wallow out in the pedal insert

Man if we get a fat tire fork it will be ether a bucklos or a Krsec, one with rebound for sure, and not the malus but the Haoqi Fat eBike

i need help finding the correct crank size set up for it cause i looked up the SRAM NX EAGLE set up you posted & cant find it . i have a malus & am doing the same sort of build & need some advice
Man it is so freaking hard to find the correct size for the BB, I am not too sure of this and the one we installed as you seen in the video is a tad bit too small and it is a 113mm. I would say a shell at 120mm would fit?? But not to certain, you could find something or just buy an aftermarket crankarm set and put those on it?? Like the Bucklos branded one, unless you want a hollow setup.....

Can you put down the actual part number on the crank set? Is it a 100mm BB?
Hey brother not a 100mm BB it is more like a 120? or a 113? I mention in the video the shell is a bit to small but did not worry because there was no friction on it, hopefully this helps, let em see if I can find the crankset and send you an affiliate link-ebay.us/injia0

It should work but your frame has to be a pressfit frame meaning no threads....Is it the Malus? If so it will not work....

Hey brother, it is a bummer man, and since you got the crankset already as well:( I have looked and found not a lot brother. Amazon dhas a press fit, here is an affiliate link....I cannot recommend but I can say I would order it if it wereme. Its a 120mm in length with cups. And they shoud snug up fine. Hey, now the Hollow Sram we put in was short, unfortunately the shell is 110mm. Now I believe it is a 120mm....So here is an affiliate link to a BB that should bolt right up and replace the unsealed BB that the Malus comes with, good luck and we should be filming a video of replacing our BB with an aluminum 120mm we ordered. There should be some wiggle room with a 120 if the size is a 113 or so, check out the link and you will get an idea of what I am talkign about, thanks! ebay.us/IrG636

How did you guys fit the stem on the fat bike ?
If you are asking how we did after the fork install, then the triple tree forks we got have two bolts on each side of the upper area that you can adjust. We simply unscrewed and shimmied it down till we could fit the stem on the top side after running the steerer tube thru the head tube. Make sense or do you mean something else?
