I have been exposed to second hand smoke since I was born everyone around me was and is a smoker. Don’t get me wrong I find it devastating that a 7 year old boy has to go through this he should be outside playing with a bike but I mean I feel like he just got unlucky. If second hand smoke really was as bad as they say it is then wouldn’t everyone who grew up during the 50s and 60s have a respiratory problem.

I feel like it depends on how much second-hand smoke they are exposed to or even just the timing of when someone is affected is all different. Could be earlier for some children or later on when they're young adults. Just varies from person to person probably; you may be very lucky or the kid may be very unlucky.

My tip to you is: Don't be shy to tell people not to smoke around your kids.
