    I have had asthma since 2 years old and I'm 23 years old so for the past 21 years and I have had countless asthma attacks just like this. I have also had attacks where I went to the ER because the blue inhaler didn't work well but it mostly works for me. I don't know about anyone else but for me it's terrifying not being able to breathe properly during an attack. I have empathy and sympathy for anyone who lives with asthma.

    I first found out that I had asthma in primary/elementary school. We was doing cross country and at the end I could NOT breath. Since I was not diagnosed, they just told me to sit down and take deep breaths. It didnt help and was probably having an asthma attack and just had to wait for it to pass.

  • @nicolachildnicole
    @nicolachildnicole Před 11 lety +8

    Sometimes though, the asthma attack passes. Most of the time you're advised to wait at least 5 minutes to see if it will pass, obviously if the person cannot: Talk in full sentences, is unconcious, feels it is getting worse or their condition worsens you would call an ambulance straight away but sometimes you should wait.

    I had an attack in the middle of the night once after being ill for weeks, when i woke up i went to my moms room and woke her up cuz i couldnt breathe, she told me to go down stairs and put the kettle on lol (to use the steam to open up my airways) with the inhaler and that it worked.
    Its scarier than the actor is making out and the fact he was totally fine after it?

    This is the very one-sided view of asthma ignoring pressure points (google for "asthma pressure points"). My chronic asthma was cured by pressing my lips together to relax lung airways by an automatic reflex. In time my airways recovered

    I’m nearly 21 and had my first attack in 10 years (brought on by walking pneumonia). Scared the hell out of me because I forgot what an asthma attack felt like. Sadly, I’m still having attacks daily because of the stubborn walking pneumonia that refuses to go away after a month. I’m shaking with chills as of writing this 😒

      Have you tried Buteyko Breathing Method for Asthma? Works for pneumonia and other stuff as well. I was not diagnosed with asthma but I had wheezing and gurgling on my chest when I lie down to sleep and during the night. Doctor gave me albuterol which did not work. I found and tried Buteyko breathing method and the second day no more wheezing or gurgling. Thank God. Check it out on Google and YT all the best.

    @BethhBeniitoo If a person having an asthma attack doesn't have an inhaler, what you should do is make sure they sit down, do not lay them down as this restricts their breathing. Loosen any tight clothing they have on such as ties, top buttons of shirts etc. Tilt their head back slightly, against a wall is the best but if there is no wall then support their head in your hands. The most important thing is to keep calm and reassure them. Tell them to take slow deep breaths. Stay with them,

    @nicolachildnicole Před 12 lety

    @BethhBeniitoo Tell them to try breathing in through their nose, and out through their mouth, slowly as panicing makes breathing much more difficult. If the situation does not improve or their breathing gets worse then phone for an ambulance. Make sure that someone if not yourself stays with the person when an ambulance is getting called as the person could get worse.

    Like the ancient tooth-worm notion lasting millenia that tooth caries was due to a worm the present asthma theory about treating asthma with medication is wrong and we have the asthma-paradox that more medication causes more asthma.
    In other cultures mudras such as pressing a finger against the thumb (chin mudra) are used to treat asthma by relaxing our lung airways.
    Christian prayer with interlaced fingers is the ambuja mudra.

      Asthma is a condition in which the airways in the lungs are extremely sensitive to certain things such as dust and pollen. When something triggers and attack, the airways constrict and fill up with mucus as a way of defending the lungs against something harmful. It causes people to cough and have difficulty breathing.

  • @richardfriedel2248
    @richardfriedel2248 Před 4 lety +1

    Asthma can only be understood with consideration of the lip-lung reflex. Mouth breathing with slack lips may well cause bronchospasm because the lung airways are no longer relaxed by the physiological reflex and asthma may occur. Google for “breathe through the nose.”
    In an attack tighten lips

  • @richardfriedel2248
    @richardfriedel2248 Před 4 lety +1

    Asthma eradication: Nose breathing and no inhalers.
    According David P. Strachan it is unlikely that trends in either outdoor or indoor air pollution have contributed substantially to the rise in prevalence of asthma and allergic disease in recent decades,
    Then we have the asthma-paradox that for many decades more asthma drugs have led to more asthma. Although acupressure treatment for asthma is widely recommended the points are mostly not on the face.
    However a distinct positive effect on breathing opening up lung airways to counter asthma with wheezing may be felt on pressing the lips together.
    This means we have a simple back to nature approach.
    Accordingly an important cause of asthma is asthma drug addiction.
    So we are left with asthma paradox that more drug treatment has long been associated with more asthma for decades on end.

  • @richardfriedel2248
    @richardfriedel2248 Před 4 lety +2

    Asthma is a disease of the lips. As long as I had chronic asthma I had no feeling for the relaxation of my lung airways by reflex when breathing through my nose and holding lips together. The cure came with getting the right lung opening sensation.
