Epic ! Thanks legends
Thanks for presenting this option. I was fortunate enough to add Serbian citizenship through ancestry which could have included my wife and daughter. It would be great if the option of dual citizenship was expanded from birth or ancestry derived citizenship to all. The Serbian passport nicely compliments my Australian passport for visa free access.
Thanks for sharing!
you should renounce Australian citizenship, I am
I have Polish citizenship but I will never give up this citizenship and switch to Serbian only... if dpuble citizenship allowed they this opption is interesting... becuse Joseph Roger Boscovich was Serbian ... and Tesla eather .... Serbia by spirit could be interesting ... but having only one citizenship is not option. In case of war I can not imagin my kids going to fight for free Serbia. Life is not only money ...
You are right.They offer it for political reasons
Thanks Jovana and the team for researching this great fast track option!
Thanks for watching, Aidan!
Thanks for sharing this. Are the taxes for IT freelancers after company formation in the 10-15%?
gm ser, what did you finally go with, I've been seeing you everywhere, what's the 80/20 from all your research so far?
Many people dint know nor aren’t familiar with the Serbia citizenship one of the things that interest me the most about Serbia is that it is underrated because it is overlooked
I'm intersting to obtain my 4th citizenship by living in Serbia. Hope the lagislators will permit to maintain my another citizenships. Please keep us informed on this topic.
Thanks
Best of luck with it!
lol what logical reason do you have to go for that many citizenships, you know that more does not = better right? 2 maybe absolute maximum 3 is all you ever need for tax savings and a wide visa free access
@@AusValue I spent more than 5 years in Slovenia, without obtaining something there. It also depends on your affinity for certain countries. Serbia must be quite the same as Slovenia, a slavic country. I was born in a country where many are slavic.
There are different reasons why people could want certain citizenship, not only for free access to some areas or taxes. For example, I don't want a USA or Canadian passport, even if they give it to me overnight.
@@NomadCapitalistRD Could you please explain is there is a way to get around the laws of Serbia and get Serbian citizenship without renouncing your current citizenship? Because according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbian, in order to get Serbian citizenship, a person has to renounce his or her current citizenship. Here is a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia: "If you are a foreigner and you have permanent residence in the Republic of Serbia, you may acquire citizenship of the R. of Serbia if you fulfil the following requirements:
that you have turned 18 and have not been deprived of business capacity;
that you have been released from a foreign citizenship or that you have presented evidence that you will be released from it, if admitted to citizenship of the Republic of Serbia;
that you had registered permanent residence in the territory of the Republic of Serbia for at least three years without interruption before submitting the application;
that you submit a signed statement that you consider the Republic of Serbia to be your country."
My First Citizenship asks me to settle down for Second Citizenship and my Second citizenship asked me to Settle down for Third Citizenship and my Third citizenship is asking me to get Married so kindly suggest a suitable plan for me to start upon
Finally! Serbia video! Thank you, Jovana! I'm going to Serbia trip. Possible live there. Please if I decide to buy property and house. I wanna do business with Jovana and the crew😁
Haha, Go for it!
@@NomadCapitalistRD I will😀 Thank you!
Is there an exit tax in Serbia ?
the only disadvantage in my opinion is you have to renounce your current citizen if you want to get naturalize in serbia. andrew I think owns a 2 hectare property in serbia I think 4 years ago.
Exactly. I read information on dozens websites offering their services in obtaining Serbian citizenship. They all say that Serbia allows dual citizenship. But then I went to the Serbian governmental site and found that according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbian, in order to get Serbian citizenship, a person has to renounce his or her current citizenship. Here is a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia: "If you are a foreigner and you have permanent residence in the Republic of Serbia, you may acquire citizenship of the R. of Serbia if you fulfil the following requirements:

that you had registered permanent residence in the territory of the Republic of Serbia for at least three years without interruption before submitting the application;
that you submit a signed statement that you consider the Republic of Serbia to be your country."
Strange that they require you to renounce other citizenships. Im in Serbia all the time and have expat friends that are not ethnic serbs who are now dual citizens that did not give up their previous citizenships. They do uave a spouse that is Serbian..would that be why? I've even talked to lawyers there and they did not mention this
When is this law going to pass ?
Is it easy to move around as an English speaker?
Not really

Let's see if one day Serbia would become part of the Schengen Area
1. Serbia makes it very easy to acquire their citizenship ✅
2. Serbia requires you to live there long enough to be a tax resident 🆗
3. Serbia taxes your worldwide income (like the US) ❌
4. Serbia doesn’t allow dual citizenship ❌
This doesn’t sound like such a great deal for westerners.
are you spreading disinformation? Serbia only taxes worldwide income while you're a tax resident of Serbia
Are you 100% sure about No. 3? I thought Serbia had a territorial tax system
@@pinetworkminer8377 yes, taxation on worldwide income. I believe it’s also mentioned in the video …
Serbia was involved in ethnic conflicts during the 1990s, particularly during the Yugoslav Wars. One of the most notorious events was the Bosnian War (1992-1995), during which the Srebrenica massacre, recognized as a genocide by international courts, took place. This event involved the mass killing of more than 8,000 Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) men and boys in the town of Srebrenica in July 1995. The conflicts during this period were marked by severe ethnic violence and atrocities. I wouldn't personally consider Serbia as a country to invest in
Nice video. Serbia sounds intriguing. Can you please comment on whether or not there is racism/xenophobia there against non-white people?
Serbia has xenophobia against slightly different white people, so you bet it has against non-white lol
Anywhere in eastern Europe you'll face some, but it's not anything past a few curious/weird looks
Zero racism
Dual citizenship not allowed.. 😢
Serbia ❤️🇷🇸
Cheap isn’t always good. Lol
So bad
