    It's great that Serbia made this change. Waiting for the 1-year rule to finally come about.

      Since they just made it 3, I am thinking they might not consider it immediately, I hope they build some investment criteria for it and roll it out.

      I don't know; but it's hard to imagine that they WOULDN'T impose a language test... for citizenship-by- naturalization

    3 years is extremely fast. Is there a minimum limit for the business visa as to how much the business should be making per year or how much the business must be worth to qualify for the residency?

      It has to be real business paying some taxes (small one / remote / funds abroad is all fine) and need to show some funds for personal settlement via balances. This is similar to Armenia now.

      Mostly no but better check if you are in that category.

      Yes. It does not compensate western passports. Serbian citizenship by naturalization requires denouncing other citizenships because Serbia does not recognize dual citizenship. You will have to give up your other passports and citizenships.

    I have been to Serbia few times and it is an amazing country.. But the passport at this time is not worth it but it is up and coming depending on how the world can recognize this passport.

      Golden rule. Always have 1-2 strong passports along with some souvenirs. Celebs are crazy about this one.

      ​​@@Febrinasvlogsbecause serbia is not in the EU,so the passport is pretty useless in europe,as you can only visit as a tourist up to 3 months in europe,unless you have a job outside of the country,for wich you may need a visa,meanwhile if you were lats say a citizen of Hungary,you are equal as all of the EU citisens ,and have no visiting limitations

      Hi. 3 months a year is not bad. It's way better than applying for a Schengen visa which may be rejected or if granted, the embassy may give you lesser days than 90 days

      Im about to put my property on the market if interested? Im too from Australia and been living in serbia for the past 4 years. Almost 2 acres, 1-3 tonnes of fruit per year, renovated and completely furnished. Everything is new. Selling it as a package with all machinary ( tractor, ride on mower, tools and so on) even our cars....its located 29km from the Belgrade centre. Glumcevo brdo. Cheers mate

      3 years but they working to go on one year but i think that you must know language but i am not certain 100%

    Working on this passport right now. The Serbian passport compliments a Western passport very nicely. Also not in the EU which I perceive as a bonus for a European country.

      It does not compensate western passports. Serbian citizenship by naturalization requires denouncing other citizenships because Serbia does not recognize dual citizenship. You will have to give up your other passports and citizenships.

      @@caydenpo1001 Serbia does require you to renounce your previous citizenships when you become a citizen of Serbia by naturalization. This requirement is removed only for ethnic Serbians born in other countries.

      Been looking into this too. My initial feedback is that Serbia does not allow dual citizenship, so one would have to give up one's existing passport. I suspect most western passport holders wouldn't be too keen to do this.
      I am a bit puzzled how another famous youtuber in this space managed to get his Serbian passport, that too without living there for 3 years, no Serbian language, and manages to hold on to his other citizenships too. Pretty remarkable. If anyone has any insights on how that was managed, do share.
