Dangerous hung up limb at the wood yard! How will I handle this safely?

We had some high winds last week and this large limb came down and hung up in the tree next to it. Follow as I come up with a plan to safely get this limb down to the ground.

Yes, that it did. Was a serious risk up in there, especially with the wind we get in this area. Would not want it coming down unannounced.

Look at you with your short sleeves!! We haven't had that kind of weather here yet! Glad you got the limb down, and now you may even get a face-cord of firewood out of it! 🙂

I have messed with Box Elder in the past, but with all the Ash I have in the wood yard and available remotely, this stuff all went to the tree dump. Will it burn? Yes, but it's not the best wood and it tends to turn quickly here if it's not split right away. Thanks for stopping in Jeff!
