Learned a lot from this! Im having issue syncing my footage when i was inside a car and the optical flow was tracking the movement from the outside. Im gonna try doing the "brute force" you did.
Thanks for the lesson. I saw your videos late, I had to figure it out myself for a long time) This stabilization turned out to be very convenient for walking and traveling. Gimbal is lying idle) Now I'm making my own small gyrodata recorder so that it turns on automatically and does not take up much space...
Hey! Excellent tuto, thanks for the clear explanations! I have a question: Does it really matter if you shoot with different shutter speeds (let's say 100ss on action cam and 200ss on dslr) or will this lead to a mismatch in gyroflow? To me, I believe it doesn't matter much as long as the timecode is equal. But what do you think? Why do I ask, because my action cam can't record gyro data under 100fps in 16:9 ratio, otherwise it records 4:3 ratio at 25fps-50fps, which ratio sucks. Thanks again !
For stabilization, the shutter speed only matters for the footage that you're going to be stabilizing. Even if the footage on the action cam has a very slow shutter speed it won't matter because you're using the data captured off the gyro to stabilize not the shutter speed. However I'm curious regarding the action cam when you are recording a slower frame rates, and you get the 4:3 aspect ratio - is that the equivalent of Open Gate or expanded versus 16:9 being cropped in at 100fps. Or, is the 4:3 aspect ratio cropping into the 16:9 sensor. My assumption is the former and if it is correct then you can always just crop into a 69 aspect ratio and decide which portion of the image you want to crop.
The lens in the Showcase is actually a 30mm 1.4 (not 35). However, with relation to full frame Sigma Art lenses, my recommendation would be to actually go with the 40mm 1.4 Sigma art. It's probably considered the most corrected high-quality lens on the sigma art lineup. Sigma art lens is, although exceptionally sharp, tend to exhibit a lot more chromatic aberration and focus breathing when compared to others. However the 40mm is an exception in that regard. @@bryanbarajasBB personally love that focal length. Currently run with a pancake Canon 40mm f2.8 on travels czcams.com/video/VSfnkyNAZEc/video.html - I'm wondering though, do I like it's size or focal length. Might have to rent a Sigma 40mm to test that assumption for myself.
@@khanceptbelal I have the Tokina 28-70 and find going beyond the 35mm and into 40-45 is sweet spot for "proper" viewing length (from the eye prospective).
Gimbal isn't always a convenient option. It's relatively big. Don't pack easy in my daily carry sling. Requires calibration each time I might swap a lens. Calibration and balancing itself takes time. I like to use bit lenses and the gimbals I own don't balance with the front heavy nature of my setup. Gimbals are ideal for a setup with prime lenses that are all around the same weight and size. Coupled with focus gears to easy follow focus. Also, I shoot two handed. Camera in one hand, and shotgun mic on a boom in the other. I can manual focus one handed via top handle follow focus. But, with a gimbal, two hands are required, especially to follow focus.

Wow, thanks 4 this! I watched your past video on this subject, but this one is far more detailed!

I'm planning to get a Sigma 35mm, 1.4, wondering what that image would look like on Ml M1 with a metabones😊

@@khanceptbelal Interesting🤔👍
@@khanceptbelal That might make sense with the metabones you'll have a 45mm which is not too bad🤔

any shot to use gyro flow on android camera ?
How about just using a gimble?
Because Gyroflow stabilization beats any stabilization a gimbal could give you. Plus Gyroflow is free unlike a gimbal.

Ungrateful youtubers! This is a great tutorial!
