Awsome! Glad you were able to make this video so fast... I downloaded gyroflow, I have a DJI Action 2 and an Insta360. I willet you now how Gyroflow handles the gyrodata.
Looks like I should calibrate 70mm, 85mm, 100mm, 135mm and 200mm along the Zoom. Perhaps leave some head room for the stabilization crop.
Remember to update your firmware on the DJI action 2 if you want to be able to use it with gyro flow. I believe in February they added support for gyro flow
@@khanceptbelal ok great, I will make sure it is updated.
Jesus, this seems like SO much work... have you ever considered just using a gimbal?
Thanks for being so in depth.
What would be even more useful is digital rolling shutter reduction. Is there such a thing?
Rolling shutter is addressed at 10:15
Thanks for this video just bought an r8 excited to try this out did you try it also for 16 mm realestate footage?
You can technically do it with any camera + focal length paring. Take this for example which was shot at 14-20mm with a focal reducer on an M6 mark ii czcams.com/video/RRz735D9SgY/video.html
Hi, I have a question. I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max. I'm not a professional, but I really like editing and recording videos (especially real estate videos). I want to use Gyroflow to stabilize some shots because even though I use a stabilizer (Hohem), I feel that in long shots, the walking is noticeable, and in the orbit-type shots, some movement is noticeable. How can I record the gyroscope movement? Because the iPhone doesn't give me the necessary data. I have an Insta360 X3 camera, does it help? In this case, would I need to set the same number of frames on both and the same resolution? But is there any issue when switching lenses on the iPhone (from normal to wide-angle)?
Are you talking about stabilizing shots you recorded on the iPhone itself?

@@edsonrodriguez4143 it might make more sense for you to enable enhanced stabilization from the settings of the camera app. It uses the gyro data to stabilize in the moment. That coupled with your gimbal it will make for a really smooth shots. Theoretically, you can use your phone as a gyro logger for a secondary camera. But the footage that you capture on your phone doesn't maintain a metafile for the gyro information - to my limited knowledge at least
Perfect bro. Thank you very much for your help
Can someone tell the installation process for new m2 mac davinci plugin? Tried several times but it doesnt show up in resolve
I beg you to do a tutorial....attaching an Action 2 camera to a Mavic 3 classic Drone. Not all drones have gyrodata....The Mavic 3 is Djis premiere drone line but does not have gyro data. Most of your tutorials so far have been for cameras only so doing a tutorial for the DJi mavic 3 will get alot of attention from the drone community. Gyroflow is insanely good, please help us out. Thanks brother 👍
I own a mavic mini 2. Would that vbe close enough? I don't have an action 2, but id assume i could mount a gopro for same results maybe
@creativecomet if the processes are pretty much the same I'd say go for...but im pretty sure the mavic mini cant lift a go pro. However it may be able to lift an action 2, i believe its significantly lighter. The Mavic 3 would be the perfect example because its strong enough to lift any action cam,but I'll take whatever you can come up with. 👍
I just found your video. I have been working with Gyroflow for several months and this is the best video I have seen on the subject. Until now I have been using a Sony Xperia Pro-I phone, but I have just ordered a Panasonic Lumix S5IIX. It was back-ordered so I'm doing a lot of speculating. Your video answered several questions, but raised others. You are using a Canon camera in the video, but at one point you hold up a camera that appears to be a Lumix S. This was a little confusing, but I am pretty sure that, when looking for a lens profile, I will need to look only for existing profiles for my S5IIX, right? I believe the S5IIX does have a gyro, which is used for the in-body image stabilization, but it does not record gyro data with video.😟Do you know if this is correct? I assume I will need to attach another device to my camera to supply gyro data. My purchase of the camera, lens and accessories was a financial shock so I would like to choose something very cost-effective to supply gyro data. Do you have any suggestions? My Pro-I does record gyro data. Do you suppose I could just attach my phone to the camera and record both at the same time? Once again, amazing video! Thanks so much.
When looking for a lens profile, camera body doesn't really matter. All that needs to be taken into consideration is selecting a profile that matches your field of view. For example, I have a GH5 (2x sensor crop compared to full frame). So If I've got a 20mm lens mounted. I'm going to find a lens profile that either matches 20mm + 2x crop sensor camera. Or, more simply a profile that matches 40mm on full frame body. I hope that makes sense.
With regards to the S5iiX. From what I know, it does uses IBIS + gyro to stabilize in camera. But, doesn't save the gyro data in the file. With interchangeable lens bodies, only Blackmagic and Sony do that to my knowledge. If you wanted to do it with your Lumix, you'd have to mount an action like I have. Only consideration is to ensure that all digital IS and IBIS is turned off.
On the flip side, regarding Lumix cameras with IBIS, they're some of the best in the game. Personally, If I had a stabilized lens coupled with IBIS and digital IS on the S5ii/X I wouldn't really bother with gyro stabilization UNLESS I'm shooting anything wider than 24mm (the sensor wobble will be unavoidable are ultra wide focal lengths).
@@khanceptbelal That's very helpful. Thank you.
I shoot in C-log 3... What is the exact lut that you use. Can you copy and paste the full name? The zip file comes with too many to sort through, but I am.
I am experimenting with them.
What lut do you recommend for a natural look? Close to the human eye?
the LUT I used specifically was file named: CinemaGamut_CanonLog3-to-BT709_WideDR_65_FF_Ver.2.0
This is specifically since I shot with the "Cinema Gamut" enabled instead of BT709 or BT2020.
btw I got the LUT from here: www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-r8 scroll down to "Canon lookup table Version 201911"
where do I find the readout speed of R5 or any other cam ?
@@Haswole usually DP review would share it in the reviews of cameras. I've put together this document over time as a cheat sheet Sensor Readout Rolling Shutter Speeds (ms) www.evernote.com/shard/s236/sh/a208cb09-c39b-0911-a27b-19d4a9e9be00/YjYogh9MQRbxcaznmpug2s0GWLz7cxUrUm5pfKyOUKAAffv-3C4_r8LUGQ
@@khanceptbelal that's awesome. Thanks man.
What about shutter speed when shooting?
90° or faster shut. Our angle is fine. So if you're shooting 24p then 1/125 or faster is appropriate. Kissing is to mitigate the motion blur to eliminate any potential artifacts when stabilizing
how if we don't have gyro data..?
can we stabilize that..?
You need gyro data to stabilize the footage. Without it, software won't have anything to map the movement of the footage to.
Do you know how to stabilize video another than using warp or gyro..?@@khanceptbelal
@@nolansorento775 The only other way I know is to use after effects and use the object tracker and stabilize according to that. It's only effective when you have linear movement - like if you're dolly forward or back. Or, if you're trucking from left to right. The moment you have dynamic movement that technique falls apart. Look up "After effects tracking stabilization" for a tutorial on youtube.
