It's great to see Mike out of context, unscripted and just being himself. He's more interesting! This is the difference between commercial TV and independent CZcams content.
Yeah, but still, even scripted he's kinda himself you know. The show might not be fun because it's american or something, but he's still a jolly fellow.
Mike Brewer seems like a genuinely nice guy. Awesome to see him supporting the channel like this.

I met mike at a car show and he was on stage and as soon as he was done come off straight into signing autographs and taking pictures. He does so much for his fans.
@@itsmephil2255 I was on Ed's side to begin with but nothing Ed said was happening to the show actually happened. I believe Mike's side now and think Ed had just had enough and wanted out but without the backlash from fans so he threw Mike under the bus to make himself look like the victim.

Much of the restoration part of the programme is now Mike going to a fabrication shop to get parts made, and it does seem to have been "dumbed down" a lot compared to the older episodes. I don't need to be told how a light bulb works and if you must tell me, don't do it as if I'm five years old.
I love that Jack is still not worthy of a laptop and is just left with his phone every vid😭

The point of my story about the stolen BMW was to get the point across to always do the proper checks, and read the Ts and C's of your insurance policies.

Ha so true I think I searched up 15 cars because I’m from Canada and I haven’t heard of half the bloody cars they talk about, and I’m a gear head! Love being able to see new things!

I remember when I first saw "Wheeler Dealers" in the beginning of the '00's, I was really hooked by the unending knowledge of Edd China. I can not say that the parts where Mr. Brewer was in ever had much of an impression on me since he seemed not really like a true car guy but more of a host because, you know, a show must have a host. Seemed like he kind of vaguely knew something about the cars and put on a charade for entertainment purposes.
Looking at it now... That is exactly me - IDGAF about wrenching but I sure do love messing around with cars (especially real, serious driving). Also, his personality, while feeling a bit "any regular joe", does really have that "invisible touch" that just lights up the scene.
Thank you for this. This was very wholesome entertainment whilst doing the dishes.
This was so much fun to listen to and watch! The chemistry is just wonderful between the four of you. Haven't had this much laughs in a podcast since the last podcast a week ago!
Car throttle has been pumping out great content for a long time and always makes my day when a new video goes up.
This was brilliant! Absolutely hooked from start to finish. Hearing people’s stories was really entertaining too.
I like both the old and new wheeler dealers, same with old top gear, new top gear and the grand tour. It’s all just more content for us car fans.

I'd read some not-so-flattering things about Mike in the Wheeler Dealers divorce, but man has he been fantastic in his Car Throttle appearances and I can't wait to see more of him on the channel!
He hit the nail on the head about why I love this channel and send it to people whenever I get a chance - cheap cars and proper "hoopties"; whether driven into the ground, or sold for whatever profit and loss one ends up with is why I first loved cars. I love the cheap car content you guys bring out, and Alex is probably THE future star of British motoring television. He's got It, and I can't wait to see more of him with Mike.

I know Mike gets a ton of crap, but he seems like a likeable enough guy who's genuinely interested in cars. Kind of like Jay Leno with a funny accent.

@George Loveridge really? What’s the insurance on that if u don’t mind me asking? I was under the impression that you couldn’t get classic insurance until you turn about 21/22 given the relatively poor safety of older cars that would hike the insurance premium. Just asking because I’d be interested in getting an older car as my first. Learning to drive atm. Thanks
R DV Yep! Learnt to drive in it and passed my test in a fiesta. Makes you work harder when driving so ideally a “better” driver as you have to anticipate more. And I share the insurance with my Dad on his classics policy, under £100 with a full licence. However as a learner- Adrian Flux were £450 for 2000 miles to learn.
George Loveridge The only thing thing that was stopping me pulling the trigger on a rover mini for my first car was knowing that I wouldn’t be building any No claims Bonus - ie when it’s time to buy a newer car the insurance prices would almost be comparable to first time buying.
But I mean cmon, driving a 60s icon in your teens is pretty cool and must overrule any thing

For the bloke looking for a fun first car definitely recommend the Suzuki Swift Sport, drives fantastically and has a great engine. Insurance wasn't too bad for me at 18, £400 for the year

I've heard worse. I know someone bought a used car only to later find out that he couldn't register it because it was a half cut that was welded back together.
Not to mention that insurance in UK is bullshit. I would never pay more than 500 eur for an insurance. Im paying less than 300 eur a year for a 530D e39 FL 😂

i was in elementary school when Mike started the Wheeler Dealers show and pretty much watched the show ever since. so i grew up with Mike`s show.
I started watching Car Throttle because of the Two guys one Car comedy series.
Watching this at 1 o’clock in the morning. These podcasts are the only thing getting me through lockdown!!!
Should have invited Edd China and given him a club with nails in it.
@Dean M The show was giving Mike more air time than what Edd wanted I believe and Mike wanted to change the show to focus on him talking about the car instead of him fixing and talking about it. So they had a disagreement about what direction to take the show in and they parted ways.
Jorn Navarre Edd is following his own dream, find his videos trying to get his tools back, puts another slant on the story.
