i really love how you started with knowing nothing about KP and now you just going into the deep side 🫡💗
The point isn't so much that people aren't exactly that way on social media..because that was pushed for years the whole "Don't be jealous it's not really real" thing and the response back to that was just to push plastic surgery to an even higher level so that you couldn't respond with "Well they don't really look that good irl so i'm not jealous" because...well now they do lol that's how far plastic surgery and cosmetic enhancements have been pushed to. Like Minnie for example IS that pretty, that rich, that famous so you shouldn't try to use that as a talking point to not get jealous or try to be like her or not care because you will fail; if she actually is then what will you do?
The point more so is that even if they ARE that pretty (because of surgeries, expensive hair, clothes & makeup etc.) and rich you're only seeing the after result and the facade; before this what did she even do to afford getting these surgeries? and is she even happy now after with them? and they're not nice answers. The point is Falling down the rabbit hole and pursuing those things will not give you real genuine love, happiness and human connection which we literally need as human beings to be happy and fulfilled (like the people at the beginning laughing and enjoying each other's company without a phone in sight meanwhile Minnie, the richest, prettiest and most famous who is at the top of the modern day food chain is looking over at them sadly while scrolling brainlessly through the endless amount of notifications and comments of random strangers online telling her she's pretty; Strangers that wouldn't give her a cent if she was to get in an accident and become ugly overnight, who will move on to the next new her as soon as she gets 'old', who won't be there for her in old age or if she gets sick or needs help or to give her real love. When she's 30 even who will still be there like they are now? When she's alone with no social media on who is there with her? She is painfully alone with no one that actually loves or cares about her, including her sham of a boyfriend who dates her because she's hot, rich and famous (the 3 things everyone wants these days). We don't even see her with one girlfriend the entire video and the 3 girls who are in a friend group are not real friends to each other and are leeching and backstabbing as well.
There are sooo many references to the 2012 film Helter Skelter as well, like Soyeon has definitely seen it there's no way, as I was watching and re-watching I picked up on more and more.
