I honestly never knew MK4 johnny cage had an unlockable laser pistol weapon. Incredible TAS btw
It's blockable. It's literally just Fujin's crossbow as a gun in accordance to Johnny's special costume.

The last time I've played this game was on the 64 but I've never played the gold version.

Johnny Cage's gun is pretty much Fujin's crossbow weapon in this game it looks like.
I find the Shinnok kill with a throw to be very satisfying.
Name's *"Cage, Johnny Cage"* Typical Mortal Kombat *James Bond Style* humor.
Now this is fighting game comedy.
Until this very day, I hate the fact that I broke my PS1 version of this game. I was a teenager at the time and had the disc in my back pocket because I was naïve. I also did the same thing to my Tekken 1 disc.
I thought Johnny did his stunts on his own. I was right.

I'm guessing there aren't any good tools for Dreamcast assisted runs yet? Gold has loads of hilarious glitches, especially before the revision.

There aren't, even a good dreamcast emulators still does not exist yet, would be cool if we get one someday.

I remember playing this in the arcade when it first came out, and thinking to myself "what the hell is this crap?". The MK series peaked with Ultimate MK3.
Yeah this game did always seem wacky and off for a mortal kombat game.
This was such a janky game. Lol probably the worst mainline game in the series.
