    Hello,
    Anyone watching this in 2023. I failed 1st time, having taken SOPE course. I failed 2nd time, having taken EET course. And now studying for 3rd time.
    Advice -- don't take SOPE course. Take EET course especially if you're water.
    Despite still failing with the EET experience I blame my performance on the AM to my own lack of a thorough AM review. I got too proud to review the AM!
    EET is a very good course -- intense, good customer service communication, good materials.
    SOPE is lackluster. Easy, watered down. Poorly organized.
    Hope this helps those in the same boat as me in 2023 and beyond!

      Thanks for the feedback TA! I never reviewed the EET course but it’s good to know they may have an edge over SoPE. I hope you knock this exam out next time!

      Hi Carlos, thanks for watching, and I’m glad you enjoy my content! Thanks for the feedback. My personal and work life haven’t allowed me time to produce content more regularly, but I do hope to get to a consistent schedule in the future. I have one coming up this week on a new shear wall system that will save millions in high rise construction!

    I graduated in 1991 and received my FE certificate in 2021. My goal is to obtain a PE in Geotechnical Engineering. However, I would like to have the books and study by myself, then I would like to be able to take Ondemand courses in the morning and evening

    I have this concert because my major in BSc was environmental engineering and we didn’t take any transportation or geotechnical courses. I did the practice exam issued by NCEES for water discipline and I encountered the problems regarding soil, geotechnical, and transportation are difficult because I don’t have prior knowledge.
    So i am planning to get the basic of these topics by reviewing practice problems from geotechnical discipline and transportation discipline that are here in youtube.

      For your reference, i will take the PE Civil Water.
      If I encounter a construction problem when I choose the Water Discipline , is it the same difficulty as problems in the construction discipline exam?
      Let’s say again I take the water discipline, would be a problem about soil and geotechnical, be the same difficulty as I take the geotechnical discipline?!

      @QuickQuestionEngineering  Před 2 lety +1

      David, if you take water resources, the soil, transportation and other discipline problems will only be covered in the morning (breadth) portion of the exam. They should be easier than the afternoon (depth) problems, if you were to take that discipline as opposed to water resources. I hope your studies go well!

    Ola Rômulo. Também sou engenheiro estrutural no Brasil atualmente terminando meu mestrado em análise numérica. E gostaria muito de tentar a vida nos EUA. Tu acha que é possível?

      Opa Isaque! Não é fácil o processo de imigração principalmente devido ao custo e o processo do visto, mas é possível sim! Uma boa opção pra começar seria aprimorando o inglês e vendo especializações em universidades aqui. Espero que dê tudo certo na sua jornada!

    eu quero cursar engenharia nos eua, e nas faculdades dos eua, os primeiros dois anos você tem que cursar as materias de conhecimento geral e so partir do 3 ano que voce escolhe sua major, e tipo é obrigatorio fazer as diciplinas de conhecimentos gerais nos primeiros dois anos ou eu ja posso fazer as diciplinas do curso ja no primeiro ano ??

    • @QuickQuestionEngineering
      @QuickQuestionEngineering  Před 2 lety

      Thalis, se você tiver os pré-requisitos de matéria mais avançadas, você pode fazê-las mais cedo. Eu fiz isso porque eu transferi dois anos e meio do meu curso do Brasil pra cá, então no “primeiro ano” já pude cursar concreto armado e estruturas metálicas. Obrigado por assistir o vídeo!
