First Half: 14 tackles
Second Half: 24 tackles
Most tackled players:
8 times: Richie McCaw
4 times: Mils Muliaina
3 times: Byron Kelleher, Dan Carter, Tony Woodcock, Sitiveni Sivivatu
2 times: Joe Rokocoko, Anton Oliver, Rodney So'oialo, Jerry Collins, Chris Jack
1 time: Keith Robinson, Andrew Hore, Brendon Leonard, Ali Williams, Isaia Toeava
Note: The only players from the All Black starting XV to remain untackled by Dusatoir were Carl Hayman, Luke McAlister and Leon MacDonald.
Note: One or two of the tackles that were awarded to his name may be borderline. But even if he made slightly less than the 38 figure he is credited with, he still made 30 odd tackles which is still an immense effort. - Sport
Tackles by New Zealand in this game - 36. Tackles by Dusautoir - 38...
36 by new zealand?!
patrick blaze NZ had possession for most of the game.
+MobKnowledge Possession and pressure that yielded zero penalties in the second half despite the constant French infringing. Good to know greenhorn refs can choke too.
frankbunce The ABs had ample opportunity to take a dropped goal later in the game, but opted not to for whatever reason. Anyway, will we be seeing any appearances from you on that show with Jeff Wilson and Joel Stransky?
They had won games by turning up the heat and forcing penalties, tries from the continued pressure. McCaw said he realised too late that Barnes was choking it and wasn't willing to make a call. By then we had Carter & Evans back in the stands and a flaky McCalister lining up wild out of range droppies. I think we suffered by not picking Mauger and Howlett for the match. Mauger could have closed that out with a droppie, and Howlett would have been the perfect wing to chase the unusual amount of kicks we put up in the first half. I'm flying out to London for the pointy end. I'll be on the next World Cup Weekly. Stay tuned.
No wonder they call him the "The Dark Destroyer" 38 tackles from him alone.
At both World Cups (2007,2011) he comprehensively outplayed McCaw.
+corny165 Bollocks. McCaw was immense as well in 2011, playing with a broken foot.
+corny165 not in 2015
he really played with a broken foot??
Leago Mnguni But not the World Cup 😲
@@blockg9482 Ofc, with McCaw cheating constantly during the final game X)
Phenomenal,.lots of dominant tackles too. Nothing better than watching a backrow player on form.
I believe it was Mils Mulinia who said that he was at the bottom of a ruck with him after seventy minutes and he wasn't sweating.
I love that comment, hope it's genuine, partly because Mils Muliaina always struck me as the sort of bloke with the integrity to make such a comment.
I usually play in the backs, but occasional back row and the difference in stamina required just ruins me every time. To put in so many tackles - some of really high quality too - in a game of such elite level and pressure is outstanding. Doing all that, scoring a try and looking like it's all just a standard day at the office is incredible.
Dussautoir start Judo early in his life, and went until black belt. That is why he is so confident near the ground.
He started rygby at 15 years old.
Hey Squidge
Merci à toi Titi, repos bien mérité pour le Dark Destroyer!!
historic performance
What a legend

He makes it look easy
Legendary player!!!

omg
No he visto un solo derribo.
I have had not seen one single tackle.
We both know that's a silly thing to say.
Amazing tackle count for one player but not a good reflection on the rest of the French pack. Would love to Know their tackle count.
mccaw is a better carrier but dusautoir is the ultimate tackler: not very impressive but efficient
+Jack Cristin that hit on Collins wasn't impressive? Haha he has a serious workrate, and was everywhere in this game!
He ragged dolled Richie mccaw. Yea not very impressive at all. Put Collins out of commission.
Some were more tackle assists than full tackles...
it's the first tackler that counts
French courtney lawes
Wut? Lawes isn't even hakf of an english dusautoir
@@momope21 calm down.
He has no World Cup to show for anything in his career good player though.
He should have had a WC title. The French got robbed in 2011.
Simon he has won grand slam, 2 6 nationsHeineken cup , 3 French championship and player of the year award , for any player it's a good trophy cabinet
theric66 especially as he was robbed of the WC by a scumbag referee
