Basically a nice and easy relaxed sparring session for Pereira.
right lmfao, he decided to " gear up" then finishes the fight
I can tell he didn't even try
I think he really did try……. Tried not to KO em out to soon! 😂
dumb ass sean shoulda taken him down
???? kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Walking straight at him the whole time. A six time kick boxing world champion. Wow
The fact that he was ranked 4th at middleweight shows how bad the division is lol. How did someone with such weak fundamentals be ranked that high. He’s just a jab merchant with 0 fight iq
@@TheOne-uc9rz i dont think so, give credits to alex
Brilliant strategy. The team worked hard on that game plan. 🎮 like giving the controller to a noob.
@@TheOne-uc9rz exactly, spot on. Stinkland is nowhere near championship level and should definitely not have been in the top 5 or even top 10. He's a single digit IQ hillbilly that likes to beat up newcomers to the gym in sparring. He should go to BKFC and get KO'ed some more.
Its called pressure
I can't recall a worse gameplan than Strickland's "come straight at the multi-division champion kickboxer and trade jabs until he gets the range" plan
Yeah if only he had you in his corner.
@@IYUB30 Obviously if I was in Strickland's corner he would have A. Submitted Pereira with a flying armbar and B. Would be a heavy favorite in a title fight against Adesanya
I'm from Brazil and Alex Pereira is considered one of the best changers on the planet. really Sean was unfortunate in the strategy
This is mma
Strickland was 100 percent intimidated by Alex. Looked like was frozen like "ELSA"
He’s a kickboxing champion, how can you underestimate that ?!
2 belts champion
Man Poatan is a fucking beast.
dont think he did. sean is pretty good too, thought he could hang i guess . hung around too long and got setup easily.
Hall of fame
That’s what happens when you stand with your hands down in front of a guy whose nickname literally means “stone hand”
exactly! strickland's striking is CRAZY overrated. the only reason he's ever been able to hang was because of the THREAT of the takedown which he did not even demonstrate here.
I didnt know that was his nick name lmao
@@am.2751 I think "Poatan" means "Stone Hand" in some Brazilian indigenous language
@@loool792 You’re correct
No more .. yelling USA??
When you realize Sean Strickland was the favorite to win this fight. The sports books were just giving money away to anyone who bet on this fight 😂
what were the odds? I occasionally bet on fights and was 99.9% certain he'd win. I have no idea why I didn't place this OBVIOUS bet.
@@RuyLopezCUH same bruh and I can’t remember the exact numbers but Sean Strickland was something like either a -120 or a -150. I was shocked.
Well logically Sean should have Took Him Down. But Strickland obviously wasn’t thinking straight. It was kind of weird
@@thedeep2202 TBH sean is one of the few hardheaded fighters left that lets their ego outweigh his pragmatism and is why i was shocked to see the line how it was
@@RuyLopezCUH won be 450$. 1.90 to win and 2.65 for ko/tko
Must be crazy to be in a UFC Event
Its an experience, But I prefer the live broadcast

Sean said he was winning the fight up until that point... lol
Too much damage in the brain
He was wining aggression but that's about it an barely winning that
hahahahahaha
lol sean didn't land a single shot
So in other words, he was winning until he wasn't
Very wise to stand in front of a man with the nickname "Hands of Stone"
thats what happens when u have a ufc hyped guy vs a real killer
@Illuminated by The Most High Champion in 2 Glory category at same time, It 's not Just because Adesanya knkdwn
@Illuminated by The Most High if he beats Izzy and then does a rematch that’ll give him at minimum 18-24 months working with Glover on his take down defense. He could actually turn into something real if he clips Izzy with that hook again. I’m not sure if you’ve seen his jab but it’s a bomb too
@Illuminated by The Most High I’m aware of what you’re saying and you’re right. Izzy isn’t the problem because Izzy will stand and fight him giving him more time to work on his ground game. If he ends up 36 and faces a new opponent and knocks them out then we could possibly see a 37 year old title defender with 3 defenses or more. I’m perfectly ok with that and I also feel like that is more than many men in the world will ever even hope to see from a illustrious kick boxing career.
@Illuminated by The Most High Anderson Silva fought for title after only one fight or something like that and the Current LHW champ done the same. It happens in the sport. It’s part of match making man. It’s a fight for money. It’s literally prize fighting. Dana gives it a look of tournament style but the reality is that styles make fights. Boxing and all sports are pretty much the same. If Conor hasn’t busted the ufc with all the things they’ve done for him I highly doubt Alex will. Glover is 40 and about to fight for the title again. I hope that Alex can muster the same type of longevity moving forward. He seems like a stand up guy that’s deserving.
@Illuminated by The Most High No one wanted to take a fight with Alex except Sean. What was the promotion supposed to do? They are completely incapable of forcing fighters to take fights.
For those who does not speak portuguese: Pereira said in a interview that the gameplan was simples (in the first round), he planned to bother Strickland chest with jabs, Pereira noticed that Strickland was trying to block the jabs on his chest because it was hurting, so Pereira feinted a jab and threw a left cross
Lol, “well, The very first thing I tried worked out great”
Sounds easy
I think you meant left hook
Naah I don’t trust u
If I remember correctly Glover asked him how he got the finish which Alex explained it to him
HE TOTALLY FISH HIM IN Sean thought he was attacking him aggressively and ate it
Sean was more focused on his career as a comedian. Izzy was his opening act and this was his closing 😆😆😆
Izzy got merked too for all this focus talk
4:25 Alex smacked that dudes hand away like "DON'T BLOCK MY CELEBRATION!" LOL
the security in the ufc literally cuddle and stop the fighters from doing anything after the fight is over it’s so ridiculous
@@hungry6479 ikr? They jump on the fence and immediately there is a guy pulling him down like he's about to kill someone.
Alex was actually trying to quiet the crowd lol, Canelo often did the same thing
yea cause why'd you touch him when he's literally going away calmly from the ko'd opponent
Even my wife pointed out how straight up and down Seans' stance is.
Looks extremely amateur, to be honest he didn't look like he belonged in there against Alex at all.
he gave zero respect to alex. watch how he marched forward without a single care in the wrold. he vastly underestimated alex which led to his own downfall
even your wife? she would've had to be blind to not see that
@@vaevictious 😂 he had 2, you can't out point the kickboxer...and he definitely isn't grappling that lanky mf
@@vaevictious bro marched towards him like he was going to outbox him at range like he did with his last 2 opponents
hes been doing this his ehol career at a high level 25-3 before this with best defensive striking
Brazil has another monster in UFC, congrats!
Definition of levels to the game. Alex and Izzy is going to be special. Izzy has no choice but to kill or be killed. UFC is a special sport
I doubt it. Both men are going to be afraid to get hit. Their egos aren't as big as their desire for self preservation. Alex was hurt badly in one of their fights and ended up catching Izzy when he was being reckless. Both men fear what the other can do and we know what that translates to when Izzy fights. I predict another boring round of patty cake.
@@kain7513 you talking about when izzy had nearly 3x the exeprience of alex and still got ko'd, jizzy left kickboxing after that and had lower quality of competition, most of the guys were a 4" shorter with less reach while alex went onto fight more killers and became a double champ, alex doesnt have that "fear" in his eyes when he fights, tho i see it clearly in jizzy whenever he gets hit good
@@zues3663 I'm not gonna lie. You made some solid points but make no mistake if Alex comes into this fight without fear he'll leave having been humbled. Izzy may be overly defensive and boring at times but his poise will guide him right to a ko if Alex tries to bully him. Both men better be cautious or it will be their head. That's why I predict a boring point match. I believe Alex will start recklessly and then get caught but not finished. After that no one will commit to anything and the boos will robustly perpetuate. Izzy by boring decision.
@@zues3663 Izzy is still a talented kick boxer plus he said it’s like a slam dunk and I’m gonna slam that bitch or some shit like that

At no point was Strickland winning this match. He looked slow in comparison to alex. Wow. Surprise
I don't think there was too much difference in speed but it really seems like Sean didn't wanted to be there
Not even at the press conference. I was thinking "does Strickland have an ace up his sleeve, cause I don't see no gameplan".
Beating bad strikers made him think he was a good one. It's that simple.

There's nothing like being at a UFC event Live, it's brilliant. Beats boxing any day as been to see Tyson Fury fight. Strickland shouldn't be down on himself, he literally just fought the best kick boxer on the planet.

What happened to the crowds “USA!” chants after Sean got KO’d??
Cause Pieria is not an American, enough said?
The crowds chants changed to F-U
Bultron La Gore
Don't worry the US will soon coup whatever South American nation Pereira is from if hey haven't yet.
The same thing with Oliveira x gaeth
it's called butthurt
Sean’s actual style of fighting is crazy, he stands like BJ did when he fought Edgar when he stood so tall and flat footed. He still outboxes most of his opponents though it just works for him; except this time
None of his previous middleweight opponents had respectable kickboxing fundamentals. Timing, distance, and angles were non existent. Out boxing people that can't box must do wonders for a man's confidence. I should try it some time.
The sport evolved since then

That knockout was speedyyyyy
This is legitimately the best angle I've ever seen of this.
Mr. Neeko, whatever camera you used....AMAZING CLARITY!!! Nice job, almost better than the guys on the side of the cage with their big cameras, LOL! Thank You!!
I love how the whole fight he was dragging him to his power punch with his footwork. Backwards to the left. Backwards to the left. Sean thought that's how this guy moves, then backwards then forwards..... BOOM KNOCK OUT!!!!
The worst part has gotta be relishing in the shame of defeat and then listening to the crowd react to you getting knocked out again and again from multiple angles.
I was there too!! So epic... except for the main event!!
didn't cut the ring off, didn't go for takedown or even clinches, no urgency in his movements, no head movement whatsoever, literally a walking punching bag.
When Strickands Jab started to get perfectly evaded multiple times, alarm bells should've been ringing...

Crazy how open Strickland was on his right side for that left hook to land easy. Izzy did tell him to mind his upcoming opponent in that presser. Strickland didn't take the advice
Izzy cant follow his own advice he got ktfo 🤦
He kept pawing at his punches instead of keeping his hands up to block.
Interesting to see. Sean was mad until he looked up at the replay and saw what happen. His corner still looking up like wtf mang
Unless Izzy becomes a wrestler and or BJJ expert soon, Alex will knock him out.
Izzy cant use his reach on Alex, so yeah Izzy is going to eat that deadly left hook.

Not so fast. Izzy had him hurt BADLY in a previous fight before getting cought after being reckless. This fight could go either way. I see both men delivering stale trigger numbing performance. My official prediction is Izzy by horribly boring decision.
@@kain7513 Yep, it did appear that way in the second fight.

All mouth, no action. He has disgraced contemporary civilization with that performance.
All talk and no action symbolizes contemporary civilization bro.
Better than SissySaniya who paints his nails and jerks on cartoons. A disgrace to primitive and contemporary human civilization.
Who knows? Maybe he was paid by ufc to lose or maybe he bet against himself lol. I mean he was on the same gym where ngannou improved his wrestling to take the belt from stipe or defend his belt against gane. there's no way they didn't at least consider preparing his wrestling against another elite striker.
@@everrunic8375 The tool got swept. Plain and simple.
That has to suck but in life there is one winner and one loser(usually). On pay-per-view TV and Jumbo Tron, they replay the knockout over and over, and Shawn has to watch it.
