  • In this tutorial I am showing you two different techniques to achieve stripes on a cake. Once method is using a cake comb and the other more simple method of piping on the stripes. Both methods work but it's amazing to see how different the results are! Have a go and see which method you like best!
    Don't forget to check out my other videos for recipes and other tutorials!

    Wonderful tutorial. I don’t have a cake comb, so I love the idea of creating your stripes with the piping bag. Simple, but very pretty and effective. ❤️

    I struggle with this . What’s your consistency of the buttercream . Should I do this right after a crumb coat and take it out of the freezer or let it warm up a little

    I am wanting to ask if there is any opportunity that you can do you common wedding cake designs. I’m looking at making my own because I am coeliac. I don’t want to be ill from my own wedding cake and it would be a massive achievement.
    Also do you have any tips for crumb coating a gf cake.

  • @badkat68
    @badkat68 Před 2 lety

    Hello there. I wanted to ask you ... I've seen some methods/tutorials where it's suggested to chill the initial coat of buttercream on the cake before using the striped comb, (so you're essentially scraping of bits of firm buttercream to make the grooves for the stripes.) Any thoughts on that??

      Cream cheese frosting is very soft so would rather use that to only fill cakes
