Hey everyone!
This was basically my entire summer and I wanted to film an example of what it's like working as an intern as there aren't too many videos about that on CZcams.
Shout-outs to Mayuko/Joma/Jarvis and all the other software engineers who made day in the life of videos, I definitely was inspired by them!
Thank you so much for watching and let me know what other videos you'd like me to make in the comments below!

if my boss finds me doing this at work, it would be "My Last Day In the Life as Software Engineer Intern".
LMAO
Relatable haha
this is my life, watching these successful people instead of studying.

Exactly, lmao
he works at toyota .... and drives a tesla !! what a mad lad.
I think it's his friends Tesla.
Toyota own 0.27% of tesla.
spidey even Elon can't say he owns it lmao
(it's joke about how under-paid he is)
@@ilyesc4630 lol I think elon is doing fine with his 22 billion dollars...
he doesn't have that much money lol, just google it or something i can't explain this in a comment
Why does all the “Life of a SE” begin with the same background music ......
I know, it’s cringey asf
He is not 21 yet and still has a job like this.
Living your dream ha.
dream work all day? and study till 11:30 nd then again go work? lol
prod. Young Wolf yea thats the dream. Well going to sleep that late is not that good and can be stressful but he is enjoying life
@@zahl6518 well.... i respect that but i think on a different way... if he enjoy coding he gotta work yea but at certain point i guess he just will work X hours per day and then enjoy life lol cuz coding allll day nd then studying...
prod. Young Wolf Work all day? Did we watch the same video? He went to the gym, Interacted with colleagues, played fortnite (AT WORK). I would kill for this to be my life and after I finish my CS degree hopefully it can be
Ryan Jan Thanks man, first year of college rn, I might start interning sophomore or junior year

of course that guy is not even a junior.

do you think 200 people are blind
sometimes, we work only two lines or less code for day..wkwkwk
@@lukegraf9365 i barely saw 2 hours of coding for the company .... the rest of the time he was eating or taking coffee ..... I would bet he expended more time studying that the time he expended working..... and even taking studying and working ..... was barely 4 hours of coding.
Still study at night when you got an internship. Respect man
That's what internship is for. You take it when you're continuing study
@@SankarshanGhosh ya
Okay this is cool, now show us what you actually do at work
I like the fact that you still study in the evening when you already have got an internship, nothing but RESPECT
looks like it time to become an software engineer at toyota...

A day in life of my internship:
7:55: get the f out of bed and wash face
7:55:10 sec: quickly change clothes
7:56: take two to three sips of tea
8:00 : run to catch a bus
8:50: reach to office
8:51 : hello IT department internet is not working
8:52: fix the issue
8:53: hello IT department printer is not working in my office
8:54: run towards manager office to fix his/her printer issue
8:55: again to office
8:56: hello IT outlook email are not sending
8:57: *fuck my life*
Ayyy. As a fellow IT intern, I feel your pain. At least I deal with Linux and scripting more than I do people!

Mayuko really inspiring a lot of software engineer who doing youtube. This is even had a similiar backsound with mayuko ones
BRO! I love this video to death. Quality and syncing up the music to the cinematography is on point my man! You are really motivating me and I would love to see more videos. You are the man!!
Thanks man means a lot!
Love this kind of videos so much! I’m currently interested in CS and found myself being curious about the lifestyle that may follow those studies☺️
Your life as intern, is far superior than a lot of senior developers here in Brazil. Only millionaires drive Teslas around here. Although it was really helpful to see this video. It gives me a lot of motivation. Thanks for sharing your day.
This is such a great video!!! I love that you live your life after work, like going out with friends (colleagues can be friends too, it’s ok lol), going to the gym, etc... I usually come home and lay around until it’s time for bed haha - I’ll try to be more productive now that the semester is ending. Hopefully it’s a routine I can keep as I intern through spring semester.
How do you afford a Tesla as an intern?
I was at Google and a lot of companies in the bay area give you discounts on rentals or let you borrow cars for cheap :D
He can't afford it. I'm sure it isn't his or Mom and Dad got it for him.
Some internships are paid.
@@JinkProject Teslas can be cheap if you lease them, or as the other comments suggest he could be renting.
Jarmahent cheapER. not cheap. Leased a Model S and now own a Model 3. Both around 1k a month
Im studuying computer science right now, and this motivates me to keep on going foward.
I'll Start mine in a few months, thanks for sharing us your experience! 👏
i'm a freshman taking a software engineering course and this video just made me cry a lil...tears of joy

Can someone tell me what the Software Engineer Intern job is based on, and if anyone knows it, tell me what programming language is used. Thank you
I really loved this video. I am a systems engineer and seeing this I have the motivation to take a routine like that. I would love to see a weekend version. Greetings from El Salvador.
👋🏻💻
My work as a software programmer consists of falling out of bed and coding at my desk for 12-14 hours at a time. But I design the hardware too
how much do u get per hour?
TRIPPY UH, I do contract jobs at $60-$75 /hour, but the work isn’t steady. Most of my coding is not done on standard PC platforms, but on hardware systems that I design.
oh alright man i wish u the best
Rick Jasper sounds very interesting, what is your education?
Hey man good day, what is the best programming can you recommend? I do System Application, I want to try another computer language
7 hrs of sleep looks so beautiful
LMAO
To be honest, I find that 7 hours of sleep to be in the sweet spot.
*6 hrs:* So tire, need coffee, not ready for the day.
*7 hrs:* Ahhhh, I am feeling great, 8+ hrs later, still feeling great!
*8 hrs:* Feel tire by 3pm.
@@supercoolmunkee but how does that work? Why do you get tired around 3?
@Uzzy To be honest, I feel like sometimes after lunch, if I'm not doing much activity, I tend to start to get sleepy a little bit lol. But if I'm out and about, I'm still as energetic as I am.
Doug Cannon haha, can relate. Less than four hours, then I’m too tired. 7.5-8 is optimal and 8+ makes me tired midday
Please do another vid related to this one. Love your channel, wanting for more...
Thank you! And soon!

thank you bro for this video , i love it :D
I’m not in the computer science field but in a similar one and I’m so motivated to continue my studies after seeing this video.
I'm going into a CS major this year with knowing little to no experience in coding.. I've always been interested in it, but never actually studied it in high school and I've been learning python in my spare time. My question is, will I be screwed going into that major without past experience and is there any tips? Anyways great video always interested in these videos! Keep up the work thank you!
You'll be fine if you don't slack off and are genuinely interested in CS. I was in a similar position and have caught up with my peers without too many issues.
I am a CS graduate. My suggestion is start thinking right now of a project you love and start coding. You will pull your hair out but since you love it, you will keep on going and eventually... worrying about coding will be a thing in the past. Also, CS is one of those career that can give you a lot of free time to do other things like CZcams, which I am desperately trying to get into, but can't seem to get anywhere. Good Luck. If you have more questions, contact me.
I'm going from pre_engineering to CS in next month , without any prior knowledge in CS or coding or like that
I just graduated with a CS degree and landed an awesome software engineering job, and I was exactly like you when I started college. I didn't even know what coding was when I decided to take the intro course. I'd say that it's probably going to feel overwhelming at certain points, but the most important advice I can give you is to talk to people. Talk to your classmates, talk to your TAs, and if possible, talk to your professors. It's super easy to feel isolated in those early classes because you don't have the experience that some of your peers do, and that's okay. The key is not letting that feeling of isolation take over. Don't feel embarrassed to admit you don't understand something just because you feel like everyone else does understand. Be ready to be challenged, jump at opportunities to work in teams/talk to people about your classes (assignments, projects, readings, etc), and always stay hungry. You'll catch up to those with prior experience quicker than you think, I promise you. You got this!
Im also interested in software programming and im thinking about trying to get in to an education. Im guessing Java is the normal code to use and was thinking if there's any programs that i could use to increase my knowledge and skills about coding. As of now i literally know nothing. So is there any programs or webpages i could use to learn more or is youtube the best way of learning. Im asking because there's a good 4 months till i can apply and i would like to learn more in my free time. :)
wtf you interning down the street from where i live nice that new Toyota center they built is awesome
where do you like guys, it's really amazing place!!
S. A. After doing a quick little search they’re in Plano, TX. Also, home to Frito Lay Chips HQ 😂
lol, I used to workout at the craig ranch gym everyday in high school with friends. get in with a "guest pass" and enjoy the amenities.
Hey, I am a freshman at high school and I have been coding for a while and I was wanting to know some advice for software engineering because that is what I really want to thrive in. You made me realize that I can be a software engineer.
one of my goals is to work like this. Great vid!! learned something new.
not 21 yet and ur driving a Tesla, I need to start doing something with my life
this is heaven
Love the drone shots!
I just gave you thumbs up at 00:02 cuz the music and your edition are awesome!
Hello. Your video is amazing and this makes me really motivated to work harder. I really hope I would join an intern program just like you this year.
I don't get how software engineers get anything done like this... I was/am an IT intern at a large local company and from the moment I get there until 1, it's pedal to the metal, getting work done and doing small tasks that need to be done but the others don't have any time to do. Then a 30 minute lunch, and back to it again until I go to my next class or 6PM, whichever comes first. I still also completely have work to do and never really run out.
EDIT - Reading WowPlusWow's comment and the responses to that, I guess it just comes down to who you are as a person. I guess I'm just no fun all business, get work done and do it well so I can have more time to do what I want later, compared to someone who spaces it out. It just works for me.
I just don't get it.
Depends on the amount of time needed to get the work done. Also, this may not be representative of an average day in his life.
Tbh I spent like 2.5 hours of working and 5 hours doing nothing at my internship
@@FeedBox2000 student bro

You got me inspired bro. I can't wait to have an internship. Got to keep grinding

It's pretty crazy that he already owns a Tesla as an intern!
There is hardwork behind this that he had now and that amazing job and life for sure
Damn its looking good. Most of the day with software engineer videos I've seen people only seem to only do 2-3 hours of actual work.
Your friend with the Tesla, does he go to UT Austin CS? I swear I've seen him before.
yes he does LOL
No lol he goes to acc bro
I had a feeling those looked like texas roads! I work at a startup here in austin as well! Though I'm not an engineer, my days are very similar :) Awesome video!
I’m hoping to be here soon

i was wondering why a lot of this looked familiar, then saw "legacy west" on the doormat
guess i'm living in the perfect spot for this lol
where is that? you are amazing! I wish I could be like you when I grow up, where are you studying as an intern?
I was looking forward to work as a software engineer too. This sounds really easy and fun. Go go Toyota :D
WOOOO

studying software engineering now and you just inspired me to do better.
randomly decided to read your code and saw 'this is just for a video' lolll
The working environment is just amazing
Oh boy not sure if this is for me but the wages are great, well done👍
I'm a junior majoring in maths but I wanna learn cs in my postgraduate and work at places like this!!! this is so much fun compared to where I have been doing my internship at financial institution. hope I can be a software engineer one day :D
@Edward Sa , please help, can an app called instalker that says to us who visit us in Instagram be signaled as not wanted by Instagram so that we can be banned for a period? is the app installer really telling us the truth about who visit us?, can a message signaled as unwanted by another person be the cause for us be for a period or forever been banned by Instagram? thanks much
Thats How we should live everyday.
Damn man, internship looks sick. Definitely am jealous of your college/opportunities, college in the midwest feels like an uphill battle compared to going to a great school like UC-B and being a target school. congrats
Thank you! And the place I was working at is actually in TX, and some of the employees I met went to school/are from Ohio, Indiana, and other places around ur area too!
Edward Sa that’s great to hear, haha! hopefully one day i can work for a company like that. i’d love to be able to learn and soak up info from guys at top schools, like UC-B haha
Imagine how it's like studying in a third world country...
Not really. I studied at the unam (the supposedly best university in mexico) and it's honestly shameful how it holds up compared to international universities.
Nah thanks.
The US is honestly too expensive, I'd rather go to a european university and not have to bother with tuition fees or student loans.
I know absoluetly nothing about computers or software, it’s all pretty much foreign to me. But i feel like it could be something i’d be interested in, any advice on where i shoukd start or what i should do?
(PS I’m a senior in high school)
and this one too i love it how come you have the best music hehehehehehehehehe
So this is how life looks like when you have money and opportunities, pretty sweet
Edward great video, I would aadvise charging phone outside of your room. Get a real alarm clock if you gonna use the alarm excuse... haha
Also 1h before don't use anything that releases blue ligt from screens. Otherwise great productive day. :)
you are living paradise
@edward do you know how to transfer all the albums from my facebook page to instagram alltogether. I dont need 10 pics 1 post in instagram. I need a single pic as a post in instagram like how it is on my fb business page. Is there any way to do that. If yes then how?
Bro the part when he played "FIVESKILL's" gameplay on Fortnite at 2:45 my mind was BLOWN!
I wanna take it back what I said considering intern earns 6000 usd/ month in America.its not shocking to drive tesla
😂😂😂
Hahahah
really? wow. the difference is incredible, compared to Croatia (Europe)
lol move to the us man
Not all U.S. interns get paid 6,000 USD/month; 72,000/year. It largely depends on the state and the company (Google, Apple, Microsoft in California? Sure).
I'm a software dev from Europe and also started as an intern... Do you really work every day like in the video? I mean I'm usually in the office by 7:00, leave for lunch at about 11:00 and home around 15:30-16:00, everything between is work, from your video I see maybe 4 hours of time for work max
May i ask which book you are use for python leaning? Can recommend any learning materials? Thanks

This is how offices should be looking in 2019. Seems to be more common in america than in the UK
Why? I'd rather have a full desktop than use a laptop.
my man has a restaurant at his office
look at all that free food
you know the funny part? these guys are the real gangsters of life. props for killin it, future is bright.
I am Senior Software Engineer and there is no way I get my hands on Tesla in my country with my salary. I guess I should consider relocating if interns have lifestyle like that.
where are u from?

...jeez. Food and fun. Nice internship you got there! Mine isn't even close to that relaxed.
Which database server we need to learn with respect to these languages(Python, Java)? Oracle or MySql?
*Edward Sa:* Programming for an intern.
*Meanwhile:* How do I apply a boolean in a switch statement in Java.
that's me when im struggling with python
Software engineering is such a dope job😭 can’t wait to start interning
jeffrey castillejo bro I need some advice. Could u kindly help me? I'm deciding whether to major in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Which one would be more lucrative? Thanks :)
Kabeer well to tell you the truth from what I know is computer science is such a broad major and it branches out into different individual specialties such as software engineering. Software engineering is just one of the many jobs you can withhold with a degree in computer science.
jeffrey castillejo thanks allot man. Been doing online research on what to choose and I was pretty much confused. I guess getting a bachelor's in CS is my destination then :)
Kabeer yeah bro 👌🏼 I’m majoring in CS, and its gunna be all worth it at the end considering how tedious coding is
I see Jeffrey has some advice so I'm gonna needs some, I want to be able to work with computers, to learn codes and solve networking problems but I have two problems
1. I don't know about the benefits or how it's all handle
2. I live in Alabama and I'm not planning to leave since the cost to live here is not bad, but I don't think there's any jobs for that field of work here
I'm basically lost on what to do even thought I still have other options such as Accounting but I have mixed feeling about it
He is learning so much every day and yet still missing out on so much more in life ... this video was interesting and sad in the same time .
Is amazing how your intelligence Can pay an incredible quality of life

Well done, can I ask where do you live? it's a nice place
S. A. México city
Been watching this type of video lately and these cats don't work ever, all of them! Damn living the dream I tell ya.
The best thing is that I'm going to study this
Hey, kind of random, but I'm in UT Austin CS right now and Lucas was my POD Mentor and one of the TA's for my Data Structures class! Also, that guy with the Tesla, I think that's Anthony (correct me if I'm wrong), but I remember him being a TA for Data Structures too. Anyways, nice video!
Thanks! And yup thats them!
And im here liking all the comments in comments section! They are more interesting ha!
The only bad thing about this arrangement is that you have to work off of laptop. My work isn't nearly is amazing as this but I do love my three monitors.
definitely
In school I can solve my assignments and stuff relatively easily.. but when it comes to building something from scratch or looking at code of projects that exist, that are super advanced, it makes me discouraged. As someone who is desperate for an internship next summer, what can an intern expect coding wise? I want to be a front end engineer so I know that is less logical and algorithmic based but overall, as an intern what is it like compared to a full time permanent position?
