- Thanks for watching along with me, I hope you enjoyed this video.
The fact that this movie was made 40 years ago makes the special effects and make up even that more impressive! Plus the soundtrack was BANGIN.' Really enjoyed watching something different, thanks to those who contributed to my Patreon poll.

Now every time you hear the song BLUE MOON by The Marcels you are going to be wearing the same little smirk that we all do. : )
I'm an Englishman and while on holiday in Miami I went into a local coffee shop and had the exact same moment from the slaughtered lamb - which i then remembered this movie and l burst out laughing!!!
LOL! One of my favorite flicks. From the opening scene of foreshadowing as David and Jack are riding in a truck with lambs to be slaughtered to the unconventional ending. I love the abrupt ending how it cuts into song as the credits roll.
Practical effects were created by the awesome Rick Baker who won the first Oscar in the category created just for his special effects. Michael Jackson was so impressed when he saw this movie, he wanted Landis and Baker to direct and do special effects for his Thriller music video.
Oh wow I didn’t know that about the Thriller film clip that’s amazing and makes perfect sense!
And yes I thought that too about the ending it hahaha
Those were all practical effects, there were no "graphics." Pre-cgi era stuff. That's why its 1000 times better than modern horror.
Yes
One of the best werewolf transformation in cinema history! Done with prosthetics! Still holds up today!
It’s incredible!!
The best way I could think for having a sequel to this movie is by having David impregnate Nurse Alex before he was killed. The child (male or female) grows up in England or America not knowing anything about his/her father and so it happens that David was a werewolf when he/she was conceived.
The director of this movie also directed " The Blues Brothers " " Spies Like Us " " Kentucky Fried Movie " " The Three Amigos " " Coming To America " . Just to name a few .
This movie did win the Oscar in 1981, and the first time makeup effects was added in the Oscars.
Fun fact: One of the non-speaking patrons at the pub is Rik Mayall in a very early role
Yeah, good eye. That is the teacher from My Girl... Griffin Dunne
John Landis was the man who directed this and he also did Michael Jackson's Thriller video.
And had a hand in getting an actor and two kids chopped up
Hey Christian haah
@@mem1701movies what ?
You have a lovely singing voice, thank you for sharing it with us :)
1. Jenny Agutter played Jessica in Logan's Run.
That would be a great firs time/share. HINT HINT
2. "A naked American man stole my balloons".
3. All of the songs played have something about the moon.
4. Those towns people gather together at that pub for protection when the moon is full.
5. It makes you wonder what the speed limit was in Piccadilly Circus.
6. He had to die.
LOVED your reaction here Eve.. I remember seeing this opening night in the theatres in high school.. Scared the SHIT out of everyone! Want a great coming of age drama that puts a GIANT smile on your face throughout the entire film? Try BREAKING AWAY (1982).. Launched many careers and is listed # 98 on AFI 100 most inspiring movies ever made.. You wont regret it!!
The comedy adds a sense of realism whilst the horror and atmosphere are really genuine. The two tones cancel each other out neatly
I just found your channel because of this movie and the algorithm. This movie is a staple of my childhood. I remember the Halloween after this movie came out. It was the most terrifying Halloween ever... and that made it the best one too. I tried using that pick up like too.... "I'm a warewolf" ... oddly it didn't work as well for me as it did for David. He gets invited home to stay over. I didn't even get a phone number. Weird. Lol.
Anyway. I'm a new fan of your channel. I look forward to what you have coming up next. Thanks for reacting to this movie. It really brought back some great childhood memories.
John Landis directs some great comedies, and I highly recommend delving into his filmography. For another horror comedy from him, check out Innocent Blood.
If you didn't catch Frank Oz (the voice of Yoda and Miss Piggy) in his cameo, he appears frequently in Landis' films. A great director himself, Frank Oz is behind Little Shop of Horrors, a hilarious horror comedy musical that you must see.
I bet you love his TWILIGHT ZONE outtakes
One of my favorite movies of all time, never get tied of watching it. Great to see reactions to this classic. Also glad I came across your channel. If there's one thing I like more than movies, it's watching first time reactions to some of my favorites. Will be subscribing since I thing you do reactions very well.
Something I forgot to add, and I comment on this to other reactions of this movie, Jenny Agutter is fantastic in this!
Eve, I'm surprised you found this to be more a of comedy with some scary elements, than the reverse. I was scared shitless the first time I saw this! Of course, I was barely a teenager, sooooo...
There were definitely bits that made me squeamish and made me jump haha but overall it wasn’t too scary and I’m a scaredy-cat 😂 maybe because I watched it in the day time 😅
@@EveReacts You should watch Session 9 (2001) for spooky season. A psychological horror film.
Great reaction.
"A naked American man stole my balloons." 🎈
Classic. 🤣
A superb blend of comedy and horror and sooo 70s - a classic.
Channel has become a new fave, keep it up 😊Best wishes from Liverpool.
80s
Amazing film a true masterpiece very classic An American Werewolf in London written and directed by John Landis produced by George Folsey Jr. starring David Naughton, Jenny Agutter, Griffin Dunne, John Woodvine and music score by Elmer Bernstein. A 2008 Empire magazine poll of critics and readers named An American Werewolf in London as the 107th-greatest film of all time. Note: Michael Jackson, who was a fan of the film, chose John Landis to direct and Rick Baker to direct makeup effects for his 1983 Thriller music video based on the strength of their work in An American Werewolf in London. Thank you so much Eve Reacts great reaction just excellent😊😊😊😊
The make up and effects were just incredible! Thanks so much for sharing ❤️🙌🏽
@@EveReacts You're welcome Eve😊😊
"Witness"(1985) Is a classic movie to react to no one is reacting to. It is Harrison Ford's best performance and one of Peter Weir's best movies. Every performance in the film is perfect!
I second that.
Peter Weir is THE BOMB... One of the GREATS....
Rick Baker's groundbreaking Oscar-winining make-up f/x are still jaw-droppingly amazing. I also recommend THE HOWLING & WOLFEN -both wolf films all released in 1981 (!)
Jack was played by Griffin Dunne. I also really like him in the Martin Scorsese movie *After Hours* .
That's the only other film i saw him in.
Great movie & yes the soundtrack is tops. Lots of others to choose from, The Lost Boys, The Thing, Let Me In (2010 version), Interview With The Vampire.
@@richmcclure3917 yes, one of my fav 80's mtv music vids too, the song came out a year later but would have been great in the film
I really do love this movie, I love the sprinkle of comedy and the cheesyness of it. But it's also serious and scary. definitly better than I was expecting. Enjoyed your reaction.
This movie ranked at #42 in the 100 scariest movie moments on Bravo
One of my favorites!
First Oscar for Make Up Effects in 1982.
Okay I subscribed.
Watching during lockdown makes you addictive SMH lol.
The Howling Directed by Joe Dante (Gremlins) is also Legendary 😉
The 2 detectives on the case 😂
Good reaction.
Warrior is another great film set in the world of cage fighting but it has a great to it and great acting.
That’s a lot of greats.
Love it the móvies its so cool the werewolfs its my LOVE
Absolute classic, to this date, neither practical nor certainly CGI can touch this, masterpiece.
Your reaction are awsome plus you are gorgeous!!!
Question: What’s better than coming home from work and finding out Eve put out another reaction video?
Answer: Tonight. Absolutely nothing.
Can’t wait to watch!
Love you!💕
Awwww Ralph!!! ❤️❤️ thanks for the support! Lots of love xxxx
I guess if I was from a country where the birds r as big as people I might not like birds either?!!!😅THATS FUNNY AF!!!😂 ✌ ❤ 🚬
😂😂😂
NEW SUB. FANTASTIC REACTION... 👍🏆🏆
Greatest practical effects I ever saw at the age of 14 when I first watch this movie at 2:00 in the morning before school lol 😂 greatest music soundtrack I ever heard too most violent movie I ever saw when I was younger that deal with werewolves ! My all-time second favorite movie below this one is called the howling it's one of my favorites it's got another Kick-Ass transformation scene from human to werewolf if you want to check it out one day it gets quite interesting!
Griffin Dunne is the actor who comes back from the dead, his sister played the teenage daughter in Poltergiest.A year after making that film she was murdered by her scumbag boyfriend(strangled)because he was jealous of her starting to get some fame.
Fun watch, would have liked to seen more of the werewolf chase scenes, the full reveal at the escalator, the banter of the dead ppl. I'm guessing only get 10 mins of footage allowed?
Thank you 😊 for some reason the one part of the movie that kept being blocked for me was the train station / escalator scene!
@@EveReacts yeah i can see that, its one of the mopst viewed sort of bits being chased thru the tunnels!
now see these people understand that the star doesnt have to be upside down, im suprised the young americans realized it.. mustv been the red of it or the candles on the sides that gave them a clue
Ben 10 Alien Force Came out On 18th April 2008 aired On Cartoon Network
10 years prior to An American Werewolf in London, Jenny Agutter starred in *Walkabout* (1971). In the film, teenager Agutter and her younger brother get stranded and lost in the Australian outback. I am curious to know if you have heard of it or seen it before. It is an excellent film that is definitely worth watching.
A great comedy horror masterpiece, from the director *John Landis,* who also directed *Animal House* and *The Blues brothers.* Amazing make-up and practical effects were done by the brilliant *Rick Baker!*
I'am a Big Fan Of Your Videos
the man who left in town is a werewolf atack to jack an david
A brilliant movie
"Once were Warriors" is my recommendation. I subscribed for my fellow Aussie and the fact i enjoy your reactions.
Thank you friend! 😃
I recommend you also the sequel "An American Werewolf in Paris".
very good review..
Check out Bram Stoker's Dracula if you haven't seen it. Gary Oldman is great in it. I'd also like to see your reaction to Untamed Heart.
It's funny that your most visceral reaction was to the pigeons.
This movie is very good 👍
A naked American man stole my balloons
what?
It's from the movie
I know, that's what his mum said in response
When you say your 'impressed with the graphics', just in case you mean CGI, there is none, it's all practical effects (models/stop motion/makeup). It won Best Makeup at the Oscars. Still impressive for a 40 yr old film.
As far as getting into an R rated movies I always looked older than I am due to facial hair and the fact I was around 6' tall at the time. I mean 6' now but really hit my growth maximum at around 16.
11:17 *Still* an effective scene 🧟♂️😱🎬
Eve, thanks for doing this, i've recomended movies like this to different reaction channels and they never listen, you can try Midnight Madness (1980) a funny scavenger hunt type movie with the same actor from this movie, Logan's Run (1976) Falling Down (1993) Gremlins (1984) The Great Muppet Caper (1981) Hudson Hawk (1991) i have more, but i'll see if you like these
Check out The Howling, Dog Soldiers and Ginger Snaps for more werewolf films with good effects.
Eve, Ric Mayal was in the bar scene: this guy's better than Dave Chappelle 🤾🤪🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
Recommendation: Ravenous (1999)
Next up : *The HOWLING* please! 😎
The first thing that I want to say is that you are a very lovely lady. Anyway, I liked your reaction to this movie. I can't wait to see you react to more horror movies.
Pls pls watch thank you For your service
Check out Ginger Snaps from 2000
Have you seen "muriels wedding " or "strictly ballroom" ? Both brilliant Aussie films 🤪 I'd vote for strictly ballroom

The Howling is better. Also fro m 1981. Those wolves were vicious.
It's a horror movie.
Lol what happened to this girl's channel is she dead or what? This channel went offline a year ago and no one subscribed to her has even left a message, or even asked, "where have you been for a year"? This girl might be dead and not a single person subscribed to her channel has even asked for an update or wondered anything about her in the past year lol. No one on this entire channel has yet asked what happened lol?
