  • CAN YOU ADD NITROUS TO A SUPERCHARGED L67 3800 V6? WILL NITROUS WORK AS AN INTERCOOLER? CAN NITROUS LOWER MY CHARGE TEMPERATURES? HOW MUCH POWER IS NITROUS WORTH? CAN YOU COMBINE BOOST WITH NITROUS? WILL THE 3800 TAKE BOTH BOOST AND NITROUS? CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO WHERE I ADDED A WET FOGGER NITROUS KIT FROM NITROUS XPRESS TO A MODIIFED L67 SUPERCHARGED 3800 V6. THE TEST MOTOR WAS FIRST MODIFIED WITH A SMALL COMP CAM, 3.0-INCH BLOWER PULLEY AND TUBE HEADERS. AFTER RUNNING THE MOTOR ON E85 WITH THE HIGHER BOOST, I ADDED THE NITROUS KIT WITH A 52/28 JET COMBO. HOW MUCH EXTRA POWER WAS THE NITROUS WORTH ON THE BLOWER MOTOR AND HOW MUCH DID THE NITROUS AND FUEL LOWER THE INLET AIR TEMPS?

    These motors are so much better with an intercooler, so looking forward to that test. At some point cylinder pressure will exceed what the TTY bolts can handle, heads lift and the head gasket blows out.

      @james10739 Před 2 lety +2

      Ya but the bolts probably won't fail with that supercharger I mean I didn't at over 500 HP with the nitrous and I don't know how much more power the intercooler will make but in the real world it would just be a lot more reliable because he said on the Dyno it hear soaked fairly quickly and thats not in a hot engine bay

      @GreaseMonkeyGarageTX Před 2 lety +1

      @@james10739 trust me, with a 3.0 pulley an intercooler and a 125 shot of nitrous, the heads will lift. The bolts may not fail, but they will stretch enough to blow out the head gasket and to produce a nice flame and then you sound like a choo choo train. Lol

    Would love to see one of these non intercooled applocations where you compare "regular" non hydrous Ethanol, to a 5/10% water by volume Ethanol. I saw a ton of detonation protection and charge cooling on my test rig, but a dyno on a larger engine than my 30cc 2 stroke would be incredible! I would expect a good gain from the cooling on the non intercooled 3800
