So the demon slayer thing is kinda confusing because the author or someone of that caliber said the water effects etc where added only for effects, but then in the anime and manga it completely contradicts that statement because we can see Rengoku for example blocking Akazas attacks WITH the fire and Tanjiro literally shifting things with his water.
So with Boruto 💀😭 also known as Filler Haven literally the whole show is filler basically like not even lying people try to cover it up and say “oh it’s anime canon” but a lot of people don’t realize anime canon is still filler because it’s not canon to the original source which is the manga.
I think the author made it so rengoku could block it just for the gist its like blocking a bullet with a sword kinda

@@nell8821 From a guess, Rengoku was moving his sword to block it. It likely works similar to Giyuu's Dead Calm, it looks like Giyuu is just standing there but he is actually moving his arms so fast that they can't be seen.
Ok so how could zenitsu’s thunder clap and flash be heard from miles away like actual thunder. How does muchiro sneak up on kokushibo with his mist who has see through world.
I consider Kirito having the most plot armor. It was fine, if a bit annoying, to see how OP he was in the first arc, but that is explained by him being a beta tester and knowing pretty much everything there is about that game. But then, he's able to overpower the best players in other games that he's never interacted with despite playing for only a few days/weeks and THEN he's able to go toe-to-toe with a guy in real life that is using augmentations to boost his abilities.
It isnt THAT random. Hes strong in ggo etc because he alrdy Trained the sword before even gaming + he alrdy had a lot of experience thru a lot of other games so ofc he already spawns really strong into a New game
A good example to counter this argument irl would be SHROUD. My guy can hop on to any fps game and wreck the competition. It’s not necessarily outside the realm of possibility to have someone who can hop from game to game and instantly make it to the top.

When you look inside his room this isn't the first time he's played an MMORPG (obviously) as you said he beta tested the game and in the beta test he went all the way up to stage 8 which was the highest anyone meaning that in the 1st 8 floors he had much more experience when fighting bosses and NPCs than anyone else. Him getting two blades is also pretty random but that actually classifies him as being the strongest in SAO. You also have to remember that Kirito was playing for 2 years straight inside of that game meaning that he easily had more experience than most other people when it came to MMORPGs. Allowing to do everything he did past the first season of SAO. There's tons and tons more stuff I didn't include but just saying it makes sense.

The creator said the effects are fake, but some breathing styles actually create their element. The hybrid slayers use real elements since it's their bda, Rengoku used blooming flame undulation to block Akaza's air type and it actually hit the flame wall instead of his sword, and Sanemi uses ranged attacks.
I think the ground was scorched after Rengoku used 9th form but it's been a while since I saw the movie so I might be wrong.
I personally think that Kirito has the most plot armor. In the first season alone he was extremely op, died but came back to life somehow, and literally got hacks to beat the villain in the second half of the season. Kirito is the perfect example of plot armor.

The Boruto Anime should not have a weekly release schedule while the Manga is mouthly and still ongoing, that is the main reason why the anime has some much filler. They need to change Boruto from a weekly release to a seasonal release, that way we can get better and more consistent animation and it would completely get rid of the filler problem the anime suffers from.
Should have been seasonal from the get go. Boruto should also have been narutos grandson/great grandson imo. This would give the nostalgia fans the happy ending for naruto while setting up an entire new story. Instead we watch our favorite characters of old get nerfed into the ground and power scaled by 10 year olds. Boruto could have been amazing. It's unfortunate.
I would love for someone to go through One Piece with a stopwatch and measure all the filler moments where they stretch out scenes, then add all those minutes together and find out how much filler episodes that would amount to.

I actually saw a post on this and that person actually did the math. If you took out the fillers including the stretched out scenes and awful pacing, One Piece would have about 30% filler. Which isn’t that bad actually.

Koraidon/Miraidon, while being the box art legendary, isn't actually a particularly rare Pokémon and you can't actually use it until the endgame. The real legendary hunt is the 4 legendaries from a fairy tale. Which actually is pretty interesting if you listen to the history lessons.

The water and fire breathing techniques are not there. It's just a device used to enhance the Battle and animation of the show and to add character development for the hashira. But in reality, if rengoku (was still alive) an needed to start a fire in the woods. He couldn't use his fire breathing techniques.
Rengoku legit used 4th Form Blooming Fire to block Akaza's fists with said fire

The elements in demon slayer are infact imaginary, it's stated in the manga
It's not stated in the manga, the author confirmed it.
But, Manga legit contradicts it multiple times, we see Rengoku blocking Akaza's blows with fire, Tanjiro creating water and even manipulating it TO DEFEAT THE SWAMP DEMON, Muichiro using his breathing to blind his opponents, etc.
TLTR: Author said they are not there, but manga and Anime says they are there.

Yo Rob you should watch the code arc and their also going on hiatus soon in April or after the code arc ends so when I comes back it might be seasonal and it might be going into timeskip the manga is very close to timeskip
in demon slayer the water and fire is just for effects so we can see differense betwen breathing styles, basicly saying that water breathing is a sword technique that imitates water, and to keep that in mind the breathing techniques does give the user some of a super human strenght speed and endurance
The author said the effects are not real. But I disagree with the author 😂😂. The story contradicts this.
1. When Tanjiro first used breath of the sun, he actually burned Rui's threads. Rui even said the threads got burned. They weren't cut, they were burned.
2. Giyuu actually saw the butterflies from Shinobu and knew she was about to attack and so he responded. This happened in both the manga and anime.
3. Zenitsu actually moves at super speed in zig zag lines. Sometimes even basically flying. You can't discount that
3. Rengoku actually used his flame to block multiple attacks from Akaza.
What I'm about to type is the strongest evidence, but it contains mild manga spoilers. It won't spoil the plot but it's worth noting.
4. There is a thunder breathing technique called Distant thunder that shoots actual lightning across a distance.
5. Sanimi created an actual whirlwind
6. The sickles from breath of the moon are actually visible.

disagree all you want, it's factually just a visual representation of breathing techniques... that's just it, the author contradicts the "logic" behind the power system they created but that's just bad writing, the canonical explanation still stands.
You could say the elements displayed are just the "aura" that the swords emit through the breathing techniques.
The demons tho, it's a different story.
@acnologia7529 I would have stuck with that explanation, but I saw actual demon slayers also do similar things with their breathing techniques and they were visible to other demon slayers and also had elemental effects. You can't tell me Mist breathing was combined with demon magic.

From my understanding most of it isn’t filler it’s just anime cannon
So ik there's like 20 other explanations of Tanjiro's water breathing and sun breathing but too basically simplify it.
The effects can not be seen and are not there but the characters can feel those effects of the things so basically the effects are like if the air around you tasted like chocolate pudding you would feel it but you can't see it.

Jinbe gets low diffed by Zoro or Sanji. Jinbe is taking damage from a fang pistol, Sanji kicked Queen to another Island, also Jinbe’s block is a named move, meaning that his regular blocks aren’t as strong as his named one. Sanji or Zoro would low diff him, Sanji can just literally blitz him and one shot him, Zoro could just one tap Jinbe. Queen could react to hybrid Marco in base, yet he can’t react to base Sanji post awakening in his hybrid form. (Shout out to restless gambler, I used some of his points in his video go check him out).

If I had to come into scarlet and violet's defence, yes you get the legendary early, but it's only for transportation, you can't actually use it until u beat the post game.

As a guy who have watched Boruto weekly since 2017 and recently rewatched it and read the manga, I can explain.
1) In these filler list they consider Novel adaptations as filler (even in Naruto filler list). There are good 50-60 episodes that are from novels.
2) Manga is monthly. There is not enough content to make episodes even if it had OP pacing.
3) Some arcs are literal prologues of canon arcs, they are not your typical "wtf will this contribute" arcs. There was one character who died in same chapter he was introduced, so they made a whole arc dedicated to him to flesh him out.
4) Mangaka himself said anime tells a more fleshed out story, with giving screentime to side-characters and world building. Kakashi haven't even debut in manga but he has his own arc and training scenes in anime.
In conclusion, I think there are still fillers but these list are just very above they surface. I can say there are 30-35% filler but this list is just bad.
The effects in terms of power are not there, like when tanjirou uses water breathing he doesn't produce water, but in the line of sun breathing the speed at which tanjirou moves his sword as he swings produces a lot of heat due to friction in the air making the sword red. this is shown as fire since the sword is black and if heated becomes red. Also Zenitsu can produce lightning as he moves extreemly fast producing an electric current
2:41 in science breathing differently actually increases efficiency of heart rate and blood veins which allows Tanjiro's body to move in such a way that it looks like it's moving like the flow of water. So they are just effects but at the same time no, they are not just effects.
The sasuke fighting dinosaurs thing is from a canon light novel

The Sasuke figthing dinos is actually a adaptation of Sasuke's Canonical ligte novel

The studio that making Boruto was rush because of the manga is only a concept at that time yet they making a movie about Boruto, and then they like Hiatus for 1-2 months, so when the manga is finally out for 6-7 chapters, they already animated it!
How Demon Slayer attacks work in terms of visual effects:
Breathing style attacks- u can't see them but they still have intended effects, for example: you use fire breathing, you can still burn things or melt things
Now , all and I say ALL Blood Demon Arts can be normally seen
Tbf in the new pokemon games the legendary is only a mount for 98% of the game. You can only use it for fighting after the postgame

Commenting this late but the reason Boruto has so much filler is that after Naruto they barely waited to start it and just jumped into it instantly trying adapt a monthly manga into a weekly ongoing anime, set themselves up for failure sadly. Most of the filler is decent though with a handful of really good arcs, only a handful that were straight up bad

In the Mugen Train arc how did Rengoku not burn the train with his fire? I get where the Demon Slayer fans are coming with this but at the same time there are moments when either Ufotable or Koyoharu mess up the way the Breathing technics work. But for me I think it is there for effects.
I dont know why this is actually still an argument like the author has said thrmselves that breathing effects aren't real. There are techniques that are an exeption like I think Rengoku's last move creates actual fire but other than that most effects aren't real.

The writer of Demon slayer had went out and said that the effects were fake. Nobody believed that, or liked it so everybody just decided not to consider it true since the effects can be used to their advantage, like that time he used the waterfall technique to save himself from a fall. So since the creator said it wasn't real, unfortunately the hard truth is that it is in fact fake. So he definitely wins the plot armor thing.

Boruto manga's new chapter releases every month, and there are 40 something pages in it, and they have to make one episode on one chapter, that's why there are so many fillers. Also the current canon saga in anime is the one in manga so there will be many fillers in it too. They had to start the anime after some time. They did it too soon
The effects of the breathings is debatable like people say the it's not real because they don't have do anything but then you have rengoku hover with fire and tanjiro make a demon see rain I and there are times when the attack touches the opponents when the sword didn't so I honestly think that the powers are not just effects.

The counter argument to the first point is Dressrosa
The effects are real. When rengoku was fighting akaza he blocked his attacks with fire. Using a fire wall and blocking air type. And when we saw them just hitting his sword regularly he had a lot of knock back. And when using the fire there is no knockback.
For the Urahara becoming an villain, it's not really clear but what happened was originally Kubo wanted to Uruhara kill off Aizen and the fake corpse is actually real then leading to the betrayal. Hope this clear things out a bit
