When it comes to character development, I'd still put Zuko on top. Out of all of them, he's the one with the biggest and most pronounced natural changes (in my eyes at least). Sure, Vegeta learnt to become a family man, and Light and Sasuke's downwards spirals were cool to watch, but seeing Zuko go from someone fuelled by rage and a desire to regain honour in his father's eyes, to someone who allows love and self-respect back into his life, all the improvements and relapses along the way, that's why he has to go at the top for me
Edit: Just read Vinland Saga. nvm, Thorfinn's got the best development.

I've got zuko on the top simply because the fact that it is realist it is, and how the other characters pin off him. They treated him realistically with suspicion then slowly warmed up to him.
While a character like Vegeta has the opposite direction, for his development too happen, everyone has to be rewritten differently to cater to his development.
Zuko development is realist and that's why he is the most and best developed character
Zuko and Vegeta are literally the same in terms of development but Vegeta’s was arguably better when you look at him being a tyrant that destroys planets for Frieza to being a loving father and husband
TBH if it was Z vegeta he'd be top 3 in my opinion, but super vegeta's development was held back too much, same thing with every other character.
Goku is able to suppress himself enough to not one shot regular people. I think that is actually an accurate representation of base Goku suppressing himself so he doesn't kill them. Don't underestimate his control over his power

I think narratively, Oda has to keep the Admirals close to the Yonko. Because, as Luffy grows in power, the Navy and World Government need to continue to be a threat.

Admirals can’t be Yonko level. The whole reason they are Yonko is because they don’t want to f*ck with them. Because there would be far too many casualties to deal with them. If they could just 1v1 them they would have just done that instead of having the Marineford war.

I don't know man, Base grimmjow in the arrancar arc realeased a Gran Rey Cero which was so powerful it distorted the atmosphere and and warped space so much that it even opened Garganta for a little bit. And the Ichigo while hollowfied tanked Grimmjows Desgarron which is grimmjows strongest attack. Grimmjow should easily be in the top 5 conversation, IMO at least.

This is the objective fact. Tatsumaki is getting sealed (Caja negacion) and never seeing the light of day, Grimmjow alone would do this and he wouldn't even need to unsheathe his sword or take his hands out his pocket, it would be a blitz. She would never see him coming (assuming she even has spiritual awareness), and that's just one Espada.
He has her beat in every stat *consistently* (I could "quantify" this, from speed to durability and everything in-between, I just won't be wasting my time on you), plus he actually has more lethal hax than her.
For Thorfinn, all I'm gonna say is: wait for season 2. He has some of the best character development out of any anime character in farmland saga, and I think season 2 will really open people's perspective on why he's such a great character. Manga Thorfinn is such an amazing character.

Thorfinn in the manga had an insane character development, my guy switched up his method of thinking and the way he deals with certain situations.
The moment Dragon Ball Super made it that Goku can use Ultra Instinct at any transformation level, he became a different beast. In my opinion he’s reached the pinnacle of physical combat. Unless you have hax you stand no chance.
For the second one: I wouldn't say Zuko is the best character on the list but he is the choice for best character development on that list. He had a full blown journey of finding himself and changing his character against everything he's known. He went against his own nation by the end. I really think his growth was the best.

26:50 actually I'm like 99% sure Rock Lee said himself that he was saving the 8 gates for his chunin fight with Neji which would imply he hasn't used it against him yet. Also while I am on Nejis side here to play devils advocate a bit Rock Lee still never actually made Gaara bleed in the end of their fight, you know who did, Sasuke.

If all of the pre-ts Yonko (WB, BM, Kaido, and Shanks) and their crews/fleets collaborated to take down the Marines, it's hard for me to believe that the later would stop them.
In terms of 1v1s, however, it's definitely all about who's matched up against who.

Neji wins, because lee stated he hadn’t beat neji even recently before the gaara fight. And rock lee and sasuke in the chunin exams we don’t know who could’ve won. Even in shippudden during a filler rock lee stated he’d still not beat neji because neji locks his chakra up before he can open up the gates. The level of speed rock lee was going at after the 3rd gate would’ve knocked out anyone that wasn’t gaara. All of nejis moves would’ve been perfect counters to everything sasuke had to dish out. Because sasuke ended up in the same hospital as lee after fighting gaara.
Yeah people also forget that neji had to fight kidomaru who cleared a near forest with his attacks and still won.

In my opinion, meruem had the pontential to have insane character development. On the level of a zuko or vegeta. We only game him one arc in the anime and he showed he has a bit of humanity even though he’s a chimera ant.
He went through a lot of character growth and Komugi was the epitome of glorious characters to ever grace a shonen

I'm not entirely sure about this since I watched black clover a long time ago so correct me if I'm wrong but I think dorothy either has to touch or get really close to someone to put them in the dream world. And Her speed isn't keeping up with tatsumaki's esper abilities so I would put dorothy below tatsumaki.
Prime Gecko Moria was actually able to fight on par with Kaido. The only reason Gecko Moria is weak now is because after he lost to Kaido his will was crushed. Weak Will=Weak Haki, which is the reason why gecko Moria was weak

Good worldbuilding tells a compelling story with well-developed characters, all while setting the events in an imaginary world intriguingly different from the real world. Which Bleach has for each dimension.
The human world, Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, Hell etc.

I mean for the Goku vs narutoverse they gotta make the animation interesting. Base Goku is low multi while Narutoverse is planetary-star level (can be solar system but that requires some iffy arguments). It would just be disrespectful to have base Goku atomizing everyone instantly

@@yourmama5055 Haku and Mifune are confirmed as being light speed, the Raikage is far faster than either of them and even base Minato was already considered much faster by A. Stacking on top of that Sage Mode and Nine-Tails Chakra Mode. For higher tiers in Naruto Light speed is a bare minimum. Even a child like Haku was able to achieve that at 15. Minato is considered the fastest character in the verse, until Naruto surpasses him.

Sasuke tagged Haku while he was moving at light speed with his undeveloped sharingan. Even without the mirrors, a weaker version of Haku is able to blitz post-Pain War arc Kakashi.
Mifune can move faster than light, but you somehow think that the Raikage, the confirmed fastest character in the world (after Minato's death) is lightning speed?
Lelouch is my second favorite mc and I would say he didn’t really have development. What made him great is that his character stayed consistant from the beginning to the end. I'm not gonna say Demon Slayer is the best anime/manga in the world but we gotta hop off it being "carried by animation". There are other series that got just as good/better animation that still didn't see half the success that Demon Slayer got. I just think people don't wanna admit that people are chill with a story that isn't super nuanced, deeper than an abyss, and warrants a 30-page thesis. (Plus, it also has time going for it cuz the series isn't a long read and doesn't demand high commitment time.)

But Grimmjow was confident in fighting a true shikai ichigo a form of ichigo who had comparable feats to dangai ichigo. On top of that he could sense ichigo’s spiritual pressure (something aizen couldn’t do) meaning he might even be stronger than aizen. Again this is all speculation based on him being able to sense ichigo’s spiritual pressure and being confident in being able to beat him. Based on feats alone however tatsumaki stomps.

Sabo is fighting equally against fujitora, marco stopped a attack from enraged akainu, doffy is literally shitting himself against kaido and he is not afraid of aokiji, old wb who was sick and heavily injured and was not able to use haki was equal to akainu (the strongest admiral) prime WB could literally solo the three admirals extreme diff, oda literally stated himself that 1 yonko Crew=Marine + Warlords, MF wb was the weakest yonko and he was literally fighting the whole marine with his crew
wb was able to use haki....prime beard loses to 3 admirals....oda mentioned 1 yonko crew + warlords = the yonko, not just A yonko crew. And doffy mentioned the navy is dominating the seas not any of the yonko. MF wb was stated to be the strongest man in the world....his use of haki was poor just like everyone else in mf cause it was pre-ts. Doffy had dirt on the gorosei and had connections with the cp0, he has enough to back him up against an admiral. Whereas kaido could just put an end to his dream if he wanted to. Sabo himself was suprised by how fuji was fighting and so was other marines, aaand fujitora was just trying to stall so that it seemed like he couldn't go any further. This was suggested with his conversation with sabo. Also kizaru was offering to go handle the kaido, big mom alliance ALONE. Akainu only stopped him because of the invariable strength of the samurai. The only samurai they really know is oden who is extremely powerful. A vice admiral mentioned only the admirals can handle the yonko (both plural). Marco has an extremely broken fruit that negated almost any of the admirals attacks. Plus he was also capable of overwhelming big mom. Big mom ended up running away cause she knew shed be wasting souls on trying to overcome his df. So its not a bad thing marco was capable of keeping up with the admirals in their short encounters. And wb fought with the navy alone sure but he only ended up injuring one admiral and that to it wasn't fatal. Otherwise he never harmed an admiral without hitting them from the back. He barely forced the warlords into the fight and he didn't even force sengoku into the fight. Even the statemate like, the navy is trying to contain the yonko(plural again) shows that they r pretty powerful. Imo Yonkos and admirals r close in strength and it depends on match up. Kizaru vs big mom? kizaru. But against kaido. Well kaido ofc. Akainu vs shanks is invariable cause we nothing abt him. Oh and also BB who is a yonko and had the rest of his crew ran from akainu similar to how he ran from shanks. The dif is bb in MF was tired and was fighting sengoku and garp. While this BB was sorta fresh and akainu was pretty much alone too. If BB alone was stronger than akainu im sure he wouldn't hv wanted to just run away and miss the chance to steal his df. Sure BB mightve been stronger but it was clear he knew the risks of fighting akainu. Again my opinion is that Yonko~admirals but majority of the yonkos were stronger than the admirals individually. Like fuji, and kizaru, or aokiji lose ext dif to most of the yonko but akainu could win against some ext dif. Aramaki is invariable again.

In terms of how much they changed and developed as a character, I'd put Zuko, Vegeta, Sasuke, Gaara or Mereum.
Zuko and Vegeta are easily the two who changed the most, and in the best ways.
Sasuke wasn't handled that well, but did infact have character development.
Gaara was done well, but he's not comparable to the other 4.
Mereum was done the best I think, especially psychologically, but he died far too early and didn't have the biggest change.
