Big brain ooogie wrecked me on my ballista and frost keep run. I think I needed to spread them out a bit more, but the run is surprisingly doable.
I usually set my ballistas to most health most armour most shield. Has carried me through almost all tower combo achievements.

an upgrade that starts at every 10th round, you get 1 landscape edit card. you can use it on a blank tile thats touching other tiles with no path. this would create a path or you can use it on a existing tile to modify the heights and such randomly

The haunted house Seance skills do not give extra money, sadly. When it says "Tax Efficiency 2x", it just means Mana efficiency. As in, you'll use half as much mana to get the same amount of gold. The reason they were paying out more later on, is because they run while the wave is active, and you had a long, slow path. Basically, haunted houses reward pushing one path out the longest.
Not how it works. Haunted houses give gold equal to the square root of the mana used. The Seance upgrade makes the formula be completely different: sqrt(x*(Seancelvl+1)) where x is mana used. So if you took 1 level of Seance, having 50 seconds pass, would land you with 10 gold because sqrt(50*(1+1))=sqrt(100)=10, but without Seance you get 7 gold because sqrt(50*(0+1))=sqrt(50) and the game always rounds down, so it will become sqrt(49)=7.
P.S. Forgot to end with a conclusion: All of this information just means, Seance will end you with more money, but it isn't 2x or anything big.

These universities yield way too little rewards for the chance percentages given in their info screens. If you have 4 universities with a 15% chance each for a shield damage upgrade, then you should get on average get an upgrade every 1.67-th round, i.e. better than every second round. This does not seem to happen here and at some point it cannot be explained with RNG anymore.
Imho, its even worse because to get that 15% you gave to spent multiple thousands of gold and/or pick multiple upgrade cards that you could’ve been using to upgrade your towers.
The opportunity cost is harsh.
You’re crazy he got +30 shield damage through university across all of his towers which if he mainly upgraded shield 30 times across all his ballistas would have cost him way more than the university

Grabbing university early and never using it is great if you want to potentially collect +5% crit upgrades to all towers every so often

Hey whats up man. For their cost, mana siphons are more efficient that a mana bank, so I like to exhaust all the mana crystals on the map before putting mana banks down.
I think he is okay with sacrificing some money for an upgrade card.

not sure but i suspect you get more houses around your Tower, when you get the passive tower upgrades from the skill tree, as an hidden bonus or something.
it is because this video - and all of his, from what I can tell, are pre most of the patches. The most recent patch nerfed the starting house rate

It’s no so much that Ballista-Only is super easy, it’s that any DoT-focused build is.
I, for instsnce, beat the game on… probably my fourth try, I think it was… by just going only sprayer/flamer/shredder and stacking on every single +Max DoT card. I could.
First couple runs were in the different splits to get the bonus XP for reaching at least ~lvl 15, spent it on as many 5xp and 10xp cards as I could to get the card draw and mana buildings, then bought the +Max DoT and +%DoT cards.
Pretty much trivialized the game. Which isn’t a surprise; DoT*AoE builds are almost always the way to go in tower defense games.

As I remember the Gamestop stock fuckery is as such...
Investors basically rented out gamespot stock. meaning they temporarily purchased the stock [with the intent to return the same number of stocks in said company at the end of the rental] in order to get a profit [Literally, they thought the price would plummet, so they rented stock to sell high, them buy low to return said stock].
But then some reddit trolls said "We're fucking you investors," who then bought a bunch at lowish prices with the intent drive up the stock's value, forcing said investors to re-purchase the rented shares at a higher price than their sell price, thus fucking over the investor [insert oceanic bottom-feeder description here] and making themselves some money like the investors do regularly.
The problem with the reddit trolls was that it gained some mainstream adjacent traction, and thus the Diamond Hands shitheads emerged, and the investors who were somewhat behind the trend in realizing that if they waited to repurchase their rented shares, that they would lose tons more. Diamond hands meant there were people dead set on increasing the value of the investment they had thrown themselves into inspite of all logic, and thus the most loyal refused to sell, where the people who realized that the value was actually crashing sold immediately.
Thus savvy investors saved themselves from a level of financial ruin... or at least that's what I remember barely prompted from the 2020 time period. It was people betting against the market, vs people expressly betting on the market.
Next challenge for your run build as little ballista as possible ^^
Something that really concerns me aboot like, cypto and investing in general is that it seems to be trying to reward & target financial impulsivity.
Like there's no time to "wait and see" and make a measured decision because by then it'll be even more expensive! Gotta buy in early! Buy now! Don't think! DON'T THINK!
And like, there are certainly people who can afford, literally, to take those kinds of risks. But with the current wave of NFT shit it's like, pretty clear that people are simply being preyed upon.

I have to ask. Why do you place towers on +2's when there's +3 next to them? The higher elevation gives increased base damage, and the higher elevation makes up for the distance you may have gained from the one block placement difference if that was the reason for the placement. It literally makes no sense at all especially when you are placing a ballista. You could defend the placement if it was a spray tower either poison or flame but not a ballista. And since this is a ballista only run, you aren't saving those spots for other towers. Not trying to harp on you but I'm curious of your thought process for that. Also putting ballista that are near your keep on highest health isn't always the best choice either. You don't want them all shooting at a very high health target they have no chance of defeating when there's targets that are almost dead reaching the tower. Having them shoot the lowest health targets insures you get a kill but attacking the highest health target doesn't. Its best to have a mix around your keep. This way, not as many shots are wasted.
