    What you're talking about regarding the throttle on the dualtron isn't actually a difference between sinewave and modified wave controllers. The difference your talking about is between a controller with torque based throttle control and rpm based throttle control. A torque based throttle will vary the torque output of the motor based on the throttle position while an rpm based throttle will attempt to keep the same rpm in relation to the position of the throttle. Some controllers with programmable firmware can even be changed between the two modes.

    • @GingerOnWheels

      Interesting. Any idea which controllers are which?

    • @phylaxxx
      @phylaxxx Před 2 lety +1

      @@GingerOnWheels Controllers such as Sabvotons and VESCs are able to be switched between RPM and torque throttle modes, not sure about scooter controllers though. It tends to be an option on higher end controllers which is likely why the Dualtron controllers don't have it (along with being square wave) they're powerful but not very advanced.

    I'm currently 350+ miles in on my Varla and it's held up pretty well so far (even crashed on it lol) only issue is the tires... got 2 flats on the rear both within 100 miles and both times on eco mode going no more than 14 mph... so I changed the rear tire with a solid rubber and it's been nearly flawless since... Highly recommend changing at least the rear tire because from my experience and with a few other people on CZcams it's always the rear tire that pinch flats.

    I have the scooter(but the zero 10x)(still the same as power,voltage,controller and cells capacity). I have 55 kg(121 lbs), and I tested the top speed at exactly 60 km/h(37.2 mph). I got that score via gps with 2 phones and 2 different apps,and the results varried with less than 1.5 km/h(0.93 mph). The range . I made 3 range tests. Itțs acceptable, but having in seen that you have the dualmoto dm10(also known as janobike x20, ezotron x20, etc), or laotie (ti30,es19,or smaller dual motor scooters), you wouldnțt pay for this scooter with just 18 Ah. I would say the minimum requirement for bttery is 20 Ah . Anything hat is smaller, canțt have more that 25 km of range or 10 in the winter. The range is ok here ( I got 35 with going like 35 km/h(dual,trubo,mode 1)( second range test 20, going speedy(60 km/h)( anr third range test aprox. 25 km,going with mode 2(50 km/h). Range made with frequent starts and stops. I wonțt reccomend this scooter any more, because you can get sth better and cheaper, at least wayyyyy cheaper on aliexpress, alibaba, banggood. Or even better: vsett like the 9+ that I like a lot. Fastest 48V scooter I have ever seen(58 km/h tested)(36 mph)(tested on wrong way channel)( one of my favourite channel). @@nebulaM16 perfectly honest, I'm a bit bias now. I've been following these scooter brands for a long time and Kaabo is loosing my interest because they just aren't innovating. I don't care to throw business their way because otherwise they won't get the memo. I've heard some things about fenders scraping and tires/lights failing on the wolf x so maybe make sure those are fixed first. But, the zero 10x was a great design that most everyone liked when it first came out, the Varla is just a rebranded 10x. Post sales support might be better if you get the kaabo from voro, but I think the Varla platform will last longer without as many problems.

      In my country the Varla is named Eco-Speed 10X and are two versions of them, base and pro, both 52V, the base has 18Ah battery with generic cells and the pro has the 22,4 LG battery it also has the zoom hydraulic break’s and a alarm which the base doesn’t.
      They advertise both to 70km range and the range is the most worrying me, because people talk to only get like 17-23 miles out of Varla and Zero 10x.

    There are some wrong assumptions in this video. The varla eagle one has sinewave controllers as have all of the Zero 10x versions (and 11X). That's why it is smooth and rides like it rides. And the difference is not that a square wave controller would give you 100% of power when you press 5% of the throttle up until 5% of the speed but that the square wave controllers do not limit low speed torque as much and have no ramp up logic included. You do get 5% of the max power but as power=torque*speed that means at low speeds you can have a big torque push with still low power. Sinewave controller will try to avoid that low power high torque instant current rush and square wave will not avoid it.
