Love my Hilux. Paint quality is terrible and they rust like crazy. Everything else is a minor issue
they rust like any other vehicle. maintenance is always needed, if you never clean your car under, it's obvious is going to rust, specifically if you take it to the beach and you don't clean the salt. you can take any car to a shop to get under coating for rust protection and paint protection.
@@JuanDiaz-jo1rw No Toyotas are worse. I've never known a car like them for rust. Maybe it's because they have a chassis when most are unibody but even land rovers from 20 years ago seem to have less rust than a 2 year old hilux.
@@ilikelampshades6 that's really strange considering Toyotas don't rust in the US the way you are saying. 2 years. I've seen Toyota Hilux here in the Philippines for sale from 2016 with no rust.. it sounds to me the lack of care for the vehicle is what getting it rusted.
@@JuanDiaz-jo1rw In England it's always wet and we salt out roads to melt ice in winter. Toyotas are notorious for being horrendous here for rust. It's probably why they're aren't idolised the same way they are abroad. What good is having an engine that can last 300,000 miles if the car is made illegal and taken off the road after ten years
@jasonbrown1263 my land rover, BMW, Vauxhaul, Renault all had better quality paint. Had my Hilux 2 years and do absolutely love it (huge fan of Toyota) but I've had more stone chips and scratches in 2 years on my Toyota than I've had on all of my other cars combined

This is what I fear the most. Having the GR badge be the next TRD. I wish they kept the GR badge sacred and only came with cars that had the performance to back it up. Otherwise it's just a marketing logo to represent a shitty trim.
