      Same.
When I was young, I was more interested in the fantasy/ political side of it (that made no sense), and was Edward gang. But now, the only thing I can say that's a plus of this series is Jacob's observation about when people are taken by attraction/romance, their will is not there own. This series was made to appeal to peoples immaturity. Bella's obsession and indecisiveness is weird, and both the guys are immature and simps and Jacob particularly is toxic. I forgot about the Jacob and baby vampire thing til just now. It was to protect the baby from the other Werewolves but it's still cringe when they commit to the pedophilic side of it.

Like he did it to protect the kid, but the fact that they commit to the pedo side of it and almost *never* acknowledge how toxic everyone's romances are is so weird. The only good thing about this series is the acknowledgement of the cost, in Jacob's speech about how their will isn't there own and how they can't escape their lower instinct, and the illusion that its good... only for the characters trade their well being for romance.

Jacob walks into the room ready to kill when the baby stares at Jacob and then that's when Jacob fell to his knees and he felt some type of way and imprinted on the baby. The baby has magical powers too since she's half human and half vampire. When Jacob first imprinted on the baby he wanted to be her protector and be like a big brother... But towards the end of the movie they showed them in the future and Jacob was in a whole relationship with her 😂. She's of course and adult now but it's still weird af

Many directions to go with this…I don’t really care that much but I did get the point of the outrage. I am a not fake 40 yr old Who grew up on the show..I watched it for nostalgic purposes which many people who watch shows from their youth do. They advertised he show as One thing then killed the character twice. Then make it all about a secondary character who happens to be female making her the central character. There was a show with a strong female character called she-ra. Absolutely no need to kill He-man off just to show that Teela was the “strong one” plus you are assuming it’s fake. I’m sure lots off Sarah Michelle Geller fans would be outraged if Buffy the vampire slayer became Bruno the vampire slayer

@@JrobAlmighty glad you liked it. I am just going based on what and how they advertised the show. All the focus was on the main character…it’s going to sound stupid going in on a made up imaginary cartoon character…but here I go…He-Man in a synopsis goes like this…strong male character that the show is about saves the world and dies in the process…secondary female character gets all in her feelings and thinks everything is a lie and forgetting all the training a soldier would have gotten abandons her post as the brand new head of the army. All this while the parents are grieving who she is sworn to protect. Goes off into the wilderness because the burden of being great was to much. Finds herself and realizes she is “strong” all while getting a “special friend” along the way. She meets her best friend in “heaven” stays mad at him for a while. @@jusjase27 I can understand that perspective.
From mine we see business as usual in Eternia until finally finally finally Skeletor has a success. It only takes one good plan, out of the infinite ones he's tried, to triumph.
He was his own undoing, or so we think, and He-Man with Skeletor are no more. There's balance in the universe and He-Man has done his ultimate duty.
Things move on as they do when hero's perish and then we end up on another great quest to save everything.
We get to see new character development that isn't at the expense of our beloved character.
Yes he gets less screen time but we get a solid world building season.
Time has skipped way past anything I recall from any of the other stories and we have some new enemies out there.
Aside from that is the ending itself which I really really loved. Obviously it's leading to something more.
      That's how I saw it.

@@JrobAlmighty I guess if no redos are done due to fan backlash we will see if your take or mine may end up being correct….the current “pissed off” fan theory is that he man will come back and dies again…teela becomes the sorceress and andra (who’s ancestor was the first he man) becomes the new “she-woman”
As you mentioned you dislike the woke virtue signaling also. I think that’s what the fans are having the problem with. Nothing wrong with strong female characters just not at the expense of good/historic male ones.
Just have good story telling. No need to make ghostbusters female. Underworld with Kate beckendsdale is a dam good show with a strong female character. They just told a good story. Charlize Theron in The Old Guard was another. No need to destroy one to build up another. Just good story telling…

Andrew I completely agree that after re-watching the movie a few years later I’m down 21 years old and I thought that was kind of gross that they would do that but it’s supernatural shit so who am I to judge. But I think the point of the impression whether he can choose it or not I feel like he could choose it was to do it so that the other wolves Would not eat bellas baby because that’s all

I actually liked the books better because it explains the imprinting thing better. Jacob imprinting doesn’t necessarily mean it’s romantic. The relationship between him and Renesme would change over time. He is her protector now, a brother or best friend as she grows up and it can turn into a relationship later on. But I can see how it could be deemed a problem when you don’t know the context.

@@IHStudiosHQ No, a lot of people make that argument which I get but no it's not grooming in this situation because of the context.
People overlook how imprinting works which is really important in all of this.
Imprinting is essentially one way unconditional love on the werewolf's part, not romantic love, or sexual love but unconditional love.
When a werewolf imprints on a imprintee their life now revolves around their imprintee's needs at the loss of their own free will. Every commitment that the werewolf has outside of the imprintee's needs becomes secondary.
Therefore Jacob can't possibly want a relationship that Renesmee doesn't want from him since the only thing that imprinting allows him to do is become whatever is useful and makes his imprintee happy.
That's not grooming. Grooming is when an adult intentionally abuses their power to sexual exploit or take advantage of a child. Grooming is a manipulative and exploitative thing. Jacob isn't doing that. Jacob is just simply around.
He doesn't try to exploit Renesmee or influence her to do something sexually or romantic. Jacob doesn't ever even tell Renesmee about imprinting or that he imprinted on her which would definitely influence her. Due to how imprinting works Jacob couldn't even do any of those things since his entire existence revolves around Renesmee's happiness, not his own, but hers, so he couldn't possibly want something from her that she didn't want for herself.
Jacob doesn't have power or agency since he is essentially a slave to Renesmee's desires and needs.
In any other context you could assume that a grown man who is over-invested in a child that isn't his is probably a pedophile or is trying to groom that child, but in the context of this fantasy world imprinting isn't predatory.
Also in regards to the idea that Renesmee is forced to be with Jacob simply because he is around some of the time is bullshit, or the idea that Jacob is the only man she will be exposed to is very presumptuous.
The Cullens are known for being social. They haven't just hid in solitude for a hundred years. They have moved around many times and gone to many different schools posing as humans so that they can socialize.
Naturally Renesmee will probably have many chances to meet people in the future. She may be immortal but Jacob isn't the only immortal in the series. Who's to say she can't end up with a vampire, another hybrid, or a human that might make the decision to turn into vampire just like Bella did for Edward, and if she does fall for someone else Jacob will be happy for her regardless since that's how imprinting works. He loves her unconditionally and whatever she wants or needs he becomes that in order to make her happy.
