Uncle Ian always loved and believed in you. You make him proud every day. We miss him🙄😍👍
Probably one of the best videos you've done bloody brilliant . Well done for having the balls . Dad used to say banks will give you an umbrella when it's sunny but when it rains they want it back 😂 Tell father Phill that one
I'm an old woman Phil and I've never seen such a fine young man as you are with such a fantastic head on ur young shoulders... you have ur plan worked out to a tee... congratulations 👏 a real educational video no doubt. .God Bless. 💚☘
Land is a better investment than a tractor, local guy started contacting sold all the land to buy vehicles and went bust because farmers weren't paying in time
1 of the best videos phil.,very honest and very informative. The fact uncle Ian done that for u is a measure of the man he was and faith he had in you been a good farmer. True gentleman god rest him.
It's good your uncle was willing to help you get your land Phil he must have known you were going to be a decent farmer
A brave move for a 20yr old . Farther Phil would of been proud of you growing the family farm
So so very interesting and love these talks and news of your farms.Good luck to Farmer Phil and liv and Father Phil and family.Thank you for sharing.🍀🍀☘️☘️☘️🍀🍀🪴🪴🌿🌿🌿🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖
Well done phill ..give me a shout if your ever want to find the drains location...I can find them with two copper wires
Every farmer knows the name of every bit of ground they have. But the names are always a bloody good laugh 😅. I'd tell you some of mine but I'd probably be carted away in a straight jacket because they sound totally nuts 😂.
Good luck to yourself and your family. It's great to see a young family getting into farming in what is a very difficult time in farming.
A great achievement to buy a bit of land well done to the Stuart family .
Brilliant video Phil. Well done on all your work.👍
That was a great video farmer Phil 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Phil I've been watching your videos for a couple years now and this is the best one great to see progress I was reared on a small farm we used to walk to school through the fields in summer winter the fields would be flooded until our neabour drained two fields it was like a inland sea in winter when you're doing drainage make sure the main drains are done first.(opws job) then the fields are easly drained
Well done. Fair play to you.
Brilliant video Phil well done with your purchase of land and good luck with improving it
Your a good one. The best of luck with it
Keep up the good work Philip!!!
Excellent video
And a very wise investment
Well done phil
Looks like you got a good plan going there Phil, it's nice to have your own land to do what you want with it.
Well done Phil your a good lad
Great video Phil. 👏
A very interesting and informative video, very enjoyable. Brilliant job. All the hard work you do will make your investment fantastic in the future. Well done Phil.
Well done, the remote land the GAA buy is usually for grass sod harvesting. The river water will come back up the drains and could flood a bigger area than the rainfall would.
Greetings from the Bronx, Phil. I spent most of my childhood summers on my uncles small dairy farm in Cavan. A while back I saw an article about Adrian and I Farm we Farm and decided to check it out. Since then I’ve been sucked into the Irish farmer CZcams rabbit hole. Enjoy all your videos and look forward to them. Great video 2day, but was thinking this would have been an excellent video to insert the Google satellite images…would have been easier to follow.
Great video, well explained, 2 days of hay weather forecast for early next week… chance it. Keep up the good work.
Very interesting, good Job Phil and family
Phil,Great video crawl before you walk. you can achieve what you wish if you plan and put in the hard work. You had the confidence of Uncle to back you, at the end of the day it came back to you. WELL DONE>
Thnk you shown us your planning
Fair play Phil reclaiming back family history ground back in your names, and turning it back from neglected land to productive ground.
Longford could do with a bit of GAA excellence wherever located!
There is hot weather on the way Phil in 2 weeks.up to 28 degrees but will have to see it first.still plenty time to make hay.good man u took on alot at a young age.hats off to u.
Well done Phil love your video s have been watching them for years did I hear you mentioned a shepards hut I have one that I built from scratch
Hon Phil boy . Fair dues 👍🏻
That was a great move by you at a very young age for a farmer. Amazing video and good history of how you made your stamp on the farm
Excellent honst video, can't beat a bit of experience, we all started and read the books and it didn't take long to realise that the books are rarely right, every farm is different. Fair play
Well done, Phil, you've done a brilliant job. It's really interesting to hear you talk about the farm. One question: Are you planning to buy any more land. Brilliant video well done 👍
Good Man, Keep the good work up
Wait I'm a bit confused, where I come from, agriculture includes livestock. I guess your country doesn't see it that way, what a shame.
Congrats on your land purchase. I hope it all works out well for ya. If I may offer a suggestion, every so often on your payments, see about refinancing, this can cut down on your payments and lower them as well, and sometimes, can get it refinanced at a much lower rate as well. Always something to think about. Great video, cheers :)
Well done you and Liv !!!! Put your 5 year or 10 year plan together Then just push to get it completed. There is certainly no shortage of effort from the two of you. But remember, you have to get and have some down time. I have been working all my life and now because I didn’t stop to think and look around me I am on a wheel that it’s difficult to get off !!! But I am sure you two will work it out
Chance of getting hay Monday to Thursday next week I reakon if the crop wasn't over heavy and dry under foot
👏👏 good work mate! Nothing like owning your own dirt. What has land prices done since you bought it? Good equity growth?
Best thing about farming is paying no inheritance tax . Makes its so easy to keep land and assets in a family .
Only if done properly, otherwise they’ll crucify you.
Did you catch any fish that day? Can't leave us hanging like this!
Excellent video btw.
👍
Good stuff
That's a good plan.
Glad I asked a few weeks ago how you done it, thanks great video
Good stuff Phil, it will be yours shortly
Fair play to you -it was always said "a
lot of bullsh#t bought a lot of land"
Causeway maybe? I've got a historical word in my head someway. All the wet land our pan-Celtic forefathers had to cope with there is a better word for the dryer road you need.
Interesting video Phil. Would you consider buying more land again in the future once you have those fields paid off?
Great video Phil. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
Well done 👏
Well done Phil
Is it worth going to the bank to see would they reduce interest rate. Bought land 4 years ago.
Will u be at tullamore show dis year
👏👏👏👌👌👌
good man fil, how did u get on with the woodchip with the calves
Repayments on 40 acres at least.5k an acres i cant see how farming woukd oay for.that amount of a loan
Goodman
Do you not have feed troughs for your calves
I would buy as much land close to you as you can.
Hey Phil you forgot to mention how much ya paid for it😉
Get them shores in soon or soon stoped altogether with EEC new law on restrictions Eamon Ryan and his Green Party.
Eamonn can go cleaning the drains now.he out of a job and no harm.the bank might fall in on him .I won't be around to pull him out
The price of land is uneconomically viable, never mind interest and tax. I don't get this
Blast of good weather for next week but that could change before then 🙄
😀🚜👍
Nothing more dangerous than a new limousine mammy crazy thing
🙏🙏💪💪👍👍🇮🇪🇮🇪
Sure couldn't we all buy land if our well heeled uncle went in a signed for it
Great video Phil. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
