  • In this episode I explore some of the unhelpful (and frankly harmful) ways Christians have spoken about mental health. I share my own struggles, tools, and ways we can do better to support each other.

Sirianna Asante for sharing🥰 During my dissertation write-up I had a similar episode. Horrible story. I do not wish sleep deprivation on anyone. The mental suffering transends any physical pain I ever experienced in my life. Luckily I was prescribed "Inner Engineering" by Sadhguru: The shared science of self-mastering was life-changing for me. I have successfully shared my acquired circadian discipline with a few sufferers. And I am aware of my BREATH. Self breathing is such a gift but we go around without a word of GRATITUDE to this miracle! Imagine if we had to remember to breath in and out😂😂😂😳

DID, CPTSD, BPD, anxiety, severe chronic depression here. The people of the church have treated me horribly. You don't have enough faith, you are full of demons and on and on. When I came out they really disappeared. I have had deliverance, soaking prayer and it has caused me to hate myself even more. It was during a sound bath in February when I finally realized that God loves me. 40 years in the church and I didn't even know God loved me. In The Chosen Jesus deals with Mary Magdalene in such a loving, compassionate way. It always makes me cry when I see it. His people have no clue, especially the evangelical church. They shoot their wounded. If I still lived in Bloomington I would seek your church out. Did you go to Byerlys? We used to go eat dinner there, eating their free samples. :)

Oh, I am so sorry! "They shoot their wounded"- what a powerful statement! I am so glad you have finally gotten a glimpse of that love because that love is real and so different than what we see in so many people. I never did go to Byerly's. Good luck to you know and I wish you well.
