Yeah... cause this looks EXACTLY like marvel midnight sun... not like x-com at all...
But we can all agree that Edna Mode does not support this game in any way.

I like the gameplay from the steam demo but I don't dig the heroes that much. Wish it had a make your own hero option.

Played the beta for this last year and liked the gameplay, but the characters and the dialog felt really weak...

Othercide was an impressive gem. X-Com 2 got me more into tactical strategy games. Can't get enough now. However, I thought Midnight Suns was lame.

I'd love to pre-order it or try and demo on PS4, since it's listed here, the official website, and all over as being on PS4, but the PS4 pre-order isn't seeming to be up.

I didn't like Midnight Sun's. Didn't like the card and immovable position aspect of it.
@@iAmManaMan you absolutely could reposition. The cards (which there weren’t really that many of for each character) just worked as a way to have your field actions answered buffs. I put way more hours into it than I figured I would have given the basic play cycle. Probably close to 180.

Marvel Midnight Suns copycat 😅
Midnight Suns used a card base system. Your characters were locked and couldn't change position at all. Personally, I didn't like Midnight Suns. I think this is closer to X-Com. So, maybe more of an X-Com meets X-Men copycat, but it's definitely not like Midnight Suns. Outside of dealing with superpowers/superheroes and simple turn-based strategy, I find it's fairly unrelated.

I know right 😅 I definitely wasn't feeling Midnight Suns. They were going for something different with the card based strategy, but I just couldn't g3t behind it either. This looks better. Just wish you could character create as well, but aside from that, this looks enjoyable.

Turn based was a sleeper genre to me as well. Until, I played X-com2 War of The Chosen. I've been in love with the turn base strategy gam3 genre ever since. Give a try. You might be pleasantly surprised.
