You would be correct, that is actually called a vent since it is after the P-trap. I did not put a clean out on this unit since the Float Switch is very accessible.
I'll let you slide on the plenum, but the splice on the float switch was just plain lazy. The new install was poorly done and apparently the float switch/condensate drain wasn't tested. You'll be back again soon...no telling what else is wrong.
The problems with not going full rigid for the drain. Flex makes life better untill it doesn't. Plus, that house looks like an unfinished drawing from the outside. 2/10 character

I'd think it's known as a blank canvass, so home owners could do what they want with minimal painting to add color or design with the wallpapering
