Got a call to add a Rectorseal SS1 style float switch to an existing unit and there is much more to be discovered about this system!
Double Trapped Drain Line!
zhlédnutí 7KPřed rokem
I guess technically this would be considered a triple trapped drain line. Don't see this every day!
Rheem Cube slowly leaking
zhlédnutí 536Před rokem
This unit is leaking slowly in the evaporator coil, see how I come to that conclusion!
I'll let you slide on the plenum, but the splice on the float switch was just plain lazy. The new install was poorly done and apparently the float switch/condensate drain wasn't tested. You'll be back again soon...no telling what else is wrong.
haha, what a joke that old unit was
LOL, what a mess
Easy job. Determine the leak, the rest could have been straighten out in a couple hrs
I would of turned around when I saw the handyman upgrade to a goodman. No way that was a real tech.
I think your old capacitor was good. Correct me if I’m wrong but the capacitor is plus or -6% if you do the math capacitor good. Am I wrong?
Dude can’t fix it is all I see newer unit he’s just looking for the easy way
Holy cow the wiring job............
It looks like you need an electrician out there too.
Florida, Americas' toilet.
Man you cooked the hell out of that copper 😂
I bet that evaporator coil is plugged solid.
Blah! You’re right…nice job figuring out the double trap.
I like the ground wire 😂😂
When I first stared back in the day.. I did not use a wet towel on the service valves... and got to hot and froze together...could not open it... granite I did not know how to weld and over heated the shit out of them... never weld without cool towel or puddy buddy 😅😅.. great job though.. 💯
This is called Crack house 🏚 101 ...... It a trap... once you touch it, it is your responsibility to fix the entire... Crack house 🏚 101
yikes 🐖 🐷
Unbelievable
Bruh. You ain't an ac tech if you can't fix that.. bahaha 'it's a lost cause' only tells me you don't know much about fixing!
Run!!!!
That's why I always use thumb screw core depressors when I put probes or hoses on.
Leave it alone. Run. Tell the people who hired you you need a new system. That house is gonna be trouble.
hello(8)
Shouldn't wet towels be wrapped around those valves during brazing?
Dont know should they be? If u already know why ask
Looks like a fairly large job. New construction sucks tho!!
hello(7)
House is just another POS cover up..someone will by it for the appearance and be disappointed when they get to the bones..🙄🤮
I really like your video!👍👍👍 I really want to invite you to evaluate the product, how should I contact you?😊
seem like a real chill guy to work with and learn from, good stuff man.
Nice work.
That clogged stuff reminds me of bad college nights. Great work!

Hello
Ah yes, good ol Goodman. One of the manufacturers that will sell to anyone without an license. Someone thought 'i want it really cold in here, so i'll double the unit size!'. Wish i could say i never saw that before.....but i would be lying. That electrical though. The moment I saw that, I would just have said 'Nope, not worth it. Rip it all out and start from scratch.'
Who’s installing these units that close the the wall? 🤦♂️
Who installed the electrical including the new breaker box and all the wiring, you? If so, these are procedures the viewing audience needs to see.
How do we as techs work on units that don't cool because the filter is dirty, but people slide with coils like that?
hello(5)
Yea its got low suction pressure, add freon!
Excellent video 👍 👍
Just came across your videos today. first one was the walk away video. love the honestly and cutting the bs! You & Anti DYI HVAC are the only ones I watch now. New sub here!
I used to be a tech in Perdido Key, your videos are super relatable man!
Laughed my ass off 😅 cause been there done that
I went to a job like that. The people living in the house actually wanted the old Arkla-Servel gas unit fixed. Didn’t end up fixing it and walked away.
Knee high microwave is likely ADA compliant. A family member may be on a wheelchair. Not everyone is blessed to be fully able like you
I wouldn’t have spliced that float wire unless it’s Friday lol
run, just run and don't look back!!!!! 😂
It must be nice to be able to choose your work and not go hungry
Is that like spending a lot of time and making next to nothing?
I clean mine every fall. Never shuts off in South Florida in the summer. LOL
Hope you didn't kill the toad with your unnecessary chemicals!
I would never!
I guess you didn't see all the extra crud he got out of that coil with those chemicals ?
From the look of the place it's very possible that the tenants didn't get their deposit returned.
Or the landlord his rent either.
