I actually met Terra (who killed her step dad in self-defense) once. She's a BADASS, but she's also been through HELL. The guy she's talking about is John Michael Meehan, otherwise known as Dirty John. She literally had to defend herself in a parking lot from this crazy con artist and it happened in our area (theres a depicted scene of it on netflix). So scary, but also pretty funny to just randomly come across that out of context without realizing.
