Mitch's fashion sense is one we don't question. While it is not something I would wear, he seems to feel comfortable in his own skin when he dresses his way. As long as he stays the divine human that he is, I turn a blind eye. I just adore the person he is and his incredible voice. I feel that is my job as a human to appreciate all that he is. He makes me feel which is more than I can say about much else. Thank you for your reaction and appreciation of Mitch.

He is dressed in Balenciaga. He is Balenciaga boy and a fan of avant-garde, including in the world of fashion. He likes oversize clothes. I think this coat perfectly fits with this song, adding to the feeling of sadness and emphasizing the atmosphere of the song.
This is referencing an older man sexually abusing a younger female. The oversized coat, to me, seems related to the song in that the abused female felt small and helpless and prefers to hide the body. However, she stands bravely despite the weight of the coat and in the truth. Mitch has overcome much in his young life. He sings from his heart with the voice of an angel. 'What is he wearing?' I've heard lots of people describe Mitch as a wild card, you never know what he's gonna wear or how he's gonna look, but no matter what he wears he can pull it off. That's one of the many things I love about him, he doesn't care if what he wears is 'weird' and people don't like it, not to mention his voice is like an angels.

Mitch has the voice of an angel, and this is such a passionate rendering of this song- he is also an incredible person. Unfortunately he also suffers from body dysmorphia and this must have been one of his bad days. He makes no secret of the fact that he wears oversized clothes to cover his frame. Maybe I'm old fashioned (70+years) but I have never been infatuated by what a person wears. I watch music videos for the music and an artists clothing or the lack of are the last of my interests. Not saying it's wrong, it just seems odd to me but everyone has their own opinions. I like your reactions a lot and ask forgiveness if I sound whiney or complaining. I am a huge fan of Billie's but Mitch's version of this song is way beyond hers. Thank you for your reaction, keep it up.

I absolutely adore Mitch! I strive to be a person who accepts all people where and how I meet them. My Mom always taught me never to judge a book by its cover. That goes for real books - as well as people. I gather Mitch has issues - but who doesnt? Every single person I know - including me - has an issue or two - it is what makes us human and unique! All I know is Mitch Grassi touches my heart with his music in ways nothing else does. His God-given talent is immense! And I feel so incredibly blessed to have even discovered him and benefit from his gift. In return, my responsibility is to love him and respect him as another child of God - and lend him a helping hand in any way I can if he ever needs it. Part of that is to just look at his soul - what makes him Mitch. And from all that I have been able learn, that "book" is a wonderful and marvelous read!

You are absolutely right, Mitch just has a way of singing that fills you with emotion. I love all the members of PTX, but have always had a soft spot for Mitch, especially with all the crap he has had to put up with over the years. He's definitely a beautiful, humble soul. I'm JUST about old enough to be his mother, and he brings all my maternal instincts out every time.

From the way you describe yourself and how you feel emotions from songs, it sounds like you're an empath. I am the same way. I feel the emotions of the singers who sing songs and it really hits hard. That's the beauty of music. It soothes and breaks your heart. Mitch has got to be one of the best singers of this generation.

Some avant-garde fashion houses runway shows are filled with models (male and female) wearing over sized coats & jackets. It's not unusual. Just not many are brave enough or fashion forward enough to actually wear them. I think Mitch looks fabulous. As far as this song? In singing it, and in singing it this way, he's advocating for all vulnerable young people who are taken advantage of by older people (in this case I believe it's a teacher/professor). I commend him for feeling the problem is important enough to address & put out into the world. I know who Billie Eilish but I don't really follow her. I would've never heard this song if Mitch didn't record it. He's bringing it and this subject to millions more people attention. Hopefully it'll save someone from making the wrong decision. Tough subject matter here... power differential in a sexual relationship, and how that power is willingly abused. Infidelity seems almost a side issue, perhaps only as the desire to exert power over a younger partner can overwhelm a previous, possibly more balanced relationship. This is pretty heavy stuff, and Mitch's beautiful, ethereal voice lays bare its ugliness in dramatic contrast. An emotional gut-punch. The coat? Mitch could sing this in a bathrobe as far as I'm concerned. Just don't change a single... heavenly... note.

To me, this song is about using your power to abuse others. It resonates with me because I’ve been sexually, emotionally and psychologically abused throughout my life.
It’s a hard song, hard as in it gets you. He did this one fabulous! I might say it’s slightly better than the original.

I get it!! I wasn’t trying to be critical, and not trying to say you can let it run for half the video, just saying you can let it go a tiny bit longer and they shouldn’t come after you. I have a friend who’s a small creator like you, and she lets it go 40 seconds without any problems… but that’s just her experience.😊
