You would never, ever have a scenario in which all 100 serialized cards would definitively be found.
There would always be at least a small to mid percentage that would be unaccounted for from unopened product and people that open and do not put up for sale or report that they have them.

Please no numbered Pokemon Cards. That’s manufactured scarcity. Completely undermines the legitimate reasons for printing to demand. Heads even further down the gambling route to hit that jackpot. Currently, the jackpots are determined by the consumer as a collective, not what Pokemon says it should be.

A while ago I mentioned in one of your other videos that Pokemon should randomly place 1000 gold code cards inside booster packs of a particular set and if you pull it they’ll send you a limited edition super rare card presented in a official certified acrylic holder with each super rare card individually numbered from 1 to 1000.
Imagine if you were extremely lucky and pulled two or three of them😅

I have also been thinking about numbered cards recently! Magic has recently moved into serialized cards and it has been highly successful for them. I think the Pokemon company may look at this and consider it for the block after S&V or even holiday sets. Imagine pulling a signed and numbered charizard or gengar. It would be the start of a new era.

I think serial numbering cards would cause the product to sell faster. Panini and Fanatics don't do it because it's bad business. However, it would hinder Pokemon's ability to reprint on demand. They'd have to correctly predict how many of a set would sell before they printed. I think including the overall odds is a much more feasible alternative, at least for now, and you're right to talk about it in your video. I think its something Pokemon can do that will make the product more enjoyable because of more transparency.

I honestly don't think serialisation would be a good thing. Magic the gathering have started doing it but they have put them in a separate collectors box which they then charge hundreds of dollars for 12 packs and theoretically the print run of those is one and done. Can you imagine a world where Pokémon boxes come out with just a single print run and then either don't get reprinted or do but without serialised cards. It will be back to covid times of people fighting in supermarkets to get Pokémon packs.

I'd say no, advertising pull rates is likely not a good idea for pokemon. As a sports collector, I bought a few cases of upper deck sp authentic 12-13 basetball. They advertised that every case (12 boxes) would contain a Michael jordan OR Lebron james auto. When I opened a case and didn't get either, I complained to upper deck, who did end up compensating me, but I knew that those advertised odds were not 100%. If that case were opened on a popular live break website, and many people saw that it wouldn't be a good look for UD. Especially now, that particular set is near impossible to find a sealed case of, worth roughly 16-20k USD if you can find one.

They kind of do this already with the guaranteed 1 secret rare/box in modern Japanese. SV boxes also guarantee a certain number of art rares (I think 3).
It does enhance the pack opening experience, but only up until you pull the secret. If you're purely chasing value, most art rares, shinies, or equivalent rarity can be bought 2 or 3 bucks in bulk, so it's not really worth your while to continue pack opening (unless you really want to and don't care about card value). When you open a Japanese box, you will almost never be disappointed.
The mystery around English box opening makes the actual card chase more exciting, but can also be quite fruitless and frustrating.
Also, how stupid do you have to be to do this massive trade in? You ALMOST got away with stealing $100,000's in cards and could have slowly bled them out. Imagine auctioning a few each week and collecting free money for next 5 years...

I think pokemon company wants to avoid disclosing hit rates/odds to not be associated with gambling. Remember it's still a children's product despite adults being heavily involved in collecting. For sports cards they do disclose the hit rate odds, and the fact that they do have 1/1 cards, which are heavily valued, these box prices do reflect that. Some sports card boxes go for over 1k for just a few cards. Pokemon isn't about that

Does it need serialized cards? ... No theyve made this far without them. Would help get an idea on print run? It could...
Would I like to see them? Maybe, on a few cards, it would REALLY increase some value. They could try a stamp style instead like if you get a Pikachu with a "stamp" gold.. Numbered cards would make it a real chase / holy grail and more tough. It would be more nice to I dunno find a golden inner stamp of the booster pack which you can redeem to win a signed Charizard, Gengar, Mew and so on. Like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Buy stuff, rip it and find a winning voucher for THE chase card of the set involved. Which you can redeem at the Pokemon website and they will ship it you.
And in regards of informing the customer about the pull rate. I don't think it matters much. People will chase the best bang for buck and just buy singles. Once it is known product X got better chances than product Y that product X becomes the next chase. Why bother with mini tins or three pack blisters when single sleeved booster gets you there you know. It will destroy Pokemon own diverse product range. No one is gonna buy a UPC when an ETB yields more result. Since it is unknown right now people either buy singles only or buy whatever is most cheap pack ratio wise.
