@YKMBIZZY Sure there are people "better" than you out there, but thats the case for anyone, all the time really. There is always someone better. That said there is a massive influx of new blood and a lot of people who are starting at zero right now! As with anything just play, practice and have fun. It isn't a race to get as good as fast as possible immediately. Just go at your own pace and don't stress it.
will the day ever come when u can block against a sparking superdash LLLLL fiend
I've done the air dash tip that's new of season 3 since day 1 I thought that it was always there maybe I didnt input as I thought?
Love how your always interested in helping newcomers!
Played season 1 for a year then i took a break in season 2. I think its time to return. Thanks for the guidance you realy helped me return
Tip #0: Please do all the Dojo challenges. Even the combo challenges are ridiculously helpful in learning each character's basic strings. And the trainer challenges that you can do will ask of you to perform almost every mechanic in the game, usually in some form of combo.
That's pretty useful tbh, DBFZ is one of the few fighting games that actually teaches you good strategies
I’m a returning player, and this is exactly what I needed. I would love to see a continuation of this with a break down of neutral, pressure, and learning and linking combos, and how to combo with assists. Thanks for such great content!
Yep a lot of classic guides like that like what is neutral/teambuilding/etc etc etc are on the list to be remade
rooflemonger hypeeee
@@rooflemonger That's great to hear! Can't wait! Subbed with notifications on!
tip 17 is now documented in The fighterz dojo vegeta tutorial now..
Does it? Well its about dang time then
rooflemonger rooflemonger is vegeta confirmed
Don’t mind me just watching after getting destroyed by my friends who been playing the game forever
This channel is the best, you’ve helped me actually become decent at this game ever since launch and it’s the only fighting game I’ve ever been into, but thanks to you I’ve become a lot more into fighting games like MK11 and Skullgirls, keep it up
Skull girls is a legendary game, wish it would be remade or something.
How is the online activity for Skullgirls 2nd encore?
@@meeachael627 On what platform?

I wish you get pinned bro that was so heart warming bro
8:56 I will never not do this on engaging, this is literally the best they add IMO. 14:52 You forgot to cover the fact you gain more bar when you deflect Ki Blast. 27:35 When you said fancy I was not expecting a TOD. LOL
Holy O.o that sparking blast combo with double assists at the end was INSANE!!!
THE BEST beginner guide video I have seen for any game! Didn’t even rush into anything to crazy and explained everything carefully and thoroughly
Thank you friend, kind words mean a lot actually! Happy you found the video useful!
Alright with that all done up, next Video should be Kefla Tips & Tricks! After that its time to start remaking some of the more out of date guides to make them more modern. Expect a lot of modernized characters tips guides, combo videos, system & concept guides etc etc. This will be what I will be working on for the next good while.
I would love to see one for frieza. I’ve seen quite a few more friezas online compared to before
@Lukas Berry Unfortunately a new tips video won't make A16 relevant. :'
Cant wait! I really wanna main Kefla and I wanna know your thoughts on who are good teammates for her!
Thank you
DUDE! I didn't knew you can hold the button to tech. I kept mashing light in case the player drops the combo. This changes so much for me.
Same lol
I was reading the comments a little before watching the video, so thanks! XD
I'm new to fighting games (minimal experience playing Street Fighter, MK and Gundam games), and relatively new to Dragon Ball itself (currently catching up with Super). I'm struggling against other players online but enjoying the game nevertheless!
DBFZ is a very different style of game than SF/MK to say the least. Having fun is absolutely priority #1 so happy you are doing well on that front. It will take time to get hang of the game to be sure but I have seen so many people since the start of DBFZ who have literally never played a FG before, and now many of them are straight up killers. Anyone can do it, just gotta stick with it!
Oh boi, going into this game coming from sfv is rough. Get ready to not "play" in your online matches for the first week
I think, if you wanna get a good idea of this game's basics, Marvel vs Capcom is a good reference. It essentially has DBFZ's basic combo style (trying to get the opponent up in the air as high as possible), but not the more unique features of DBFZ. I'd say try any MvC game (besides Infinite), particularly MvC3.
Ah! The essential tips take me back to the early days of DBFZ and finding your videos! ^^
I haven't played in awhile until Season 3 came along, but I've familiarized myself with everything from this vid, thanks to your guides and the time playing this myself! Still, I thought it's be fun to listen to them anyway! XD
You can HOLD dragon rushes!?!? lol had no idea!
Wow thanks for this, Roof, I actually didnt know about that dashing tip lol great vid as always:]
Perfect video for me! Was hoping you’d covered it and here we are!! Thanks brother! Training up 🏋🏽
Ur guides are the best ones out there, hope u keep doing more and more because I’m new to fighting games and this type of things helps me a lot
More to come!
Nothing wrong with a nice refresher and learning some new things. Thanks
Thank you rooflemonger! This kind of stuff is why I subscribed to you originally. I’m just coming back and I needed this. That and your soothing voice. Haha
I've been playing this game for a decent amount of time and there were many things that I didn't know. Awesome video.
Excellent list. Just what I was looking for in order to improve my game. Kudos and thanks!
I got to say it bro...you are sensei of my fighting game martial art....I literally haven't played a fighting game since like mortal Kombat 2 ...when I bought fighter z by mistake I thought I'd give it a shot just because I had it. After getting washed like 20nranked games in a row I typed in tutorial for this game discouraged and ready to turn it back into GameStop .when I found your channel ...2 years hundreds of hours in training and in rl studying your videos I'm at majin rank and actually mixing these fools up!....I'm not great but I'm improving and I watched this video and iad with rt on my fight stick is going to change the Game I always open myself up by misinputting those! And so many more tips I am at work literally itching now to play some dbfz! Lol anyway ty rooflemonger your videos definitely helped at least this guy unlock his fight game potential
Man what a great video! You did a fantastic job clearly demonstrating and explaining all of your points. I wish you made a 2 hour long video going over EVERYTHING in this game since I love your teaching style so much. Thanks for your time and effort on this!
Thank you, happy you found the video helpful!
Love your content Roofle. Keep up the good work!
thank you friend 💪🐵
You're the man. glad to see you gaining more and more popularity, you've been my go to guy since the game launched.
Hell yeah! I gotta re-learn too! My man!
I've been subbed since season 1. Your amazing informational/tutorial videos are what got me to stick around. It's been over 2 years of Rooflemonger. And over 2 years of audio gremlins. Keep up the great work, guy!
Well documented and informative video.
Good job don’t see that to much now a days💯
This was an amazing guide , I'd love to come back to it to watch and relearn more. I just started playing on Switch yesterday so thanks for the video.
Great tutorial. I'm a complete noob so I appreciate this. You do better than almost everyone else I've watched with your explanation. Thank you
Awesome video! Didn’t know a lot of this stuff as I’m relatively new to the game.
Your video's are by far the easiest to understand and informative. Thank you!
Excellent video. I've learned a lot from this, and I'm not even new, or casual. Well maybe a little casual. I've been playing this game since it came out and you've covered a bunch of stuff that I never knew about.
Subscribed, excited for season 3!
Awesome video. haven't played in about a year and just came back when I heard about roshi this info will help a ton
Bro thx you so much I just got the game and I have been watching a lot of your videos and are helping me a lot this game is amazing!!!
roofle keep the grind coming... this is amazing time for your channela nd dbfz and fgc and everything !
I finally managed to get this amazing game after so long. This video has been very useful, thank you so much!!
Thanks as always. Btw the combo in tip 18 was pretty sick.
I have spent 600+ hours on this game but there's something new to learn or perfect. Thanks.
Thank you so much for all the content man it's really helping me understand the game. This is my first different fighting game (I usually play mortal kombat) and I was really struggling at first but you've helped immensely so thank you!!!
Happy to help friend! Glad you are branching out to other fighting games! I have been playing them for 25+ years at this point and to me there simply isn't anything better
im getting this on Wed next week and this is probably gonna help alot!
Thanks for the tips! I'm a returning player so I appreciate this!
Mate, just picked up this game on sale on the xbox store today and I've spent more time watching your videos than I have playing it. Awesome in depth content my man. Great stuff.
Great video, I had no idea about the instant air dash shortcut.
As a new player who plays with my best friend (who's also new), this guide is EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you so much for this. Liked and subscribed! 😃 👍
Happy to help friend!
This is an insane video! This has helped me so much!
This is an excellent guide, there is a lot that I didn't know in this video. Thanks!
Happy to help friend
Thank you for explaining the auto combo. I was really not understanding why my combos were dropping.
Very useful. Thank you
Dude I have been playing since season two started and I did not know like four of these. Thanks for the great videos
Happy to help!
New player here, after finishing the in game tutorial this guide felt like just the right thing to watch. Awesome video!
Exactly what I needed!!
Thanks for the refresh!
35:51 "I could make a 20 minute video about this whole thing" Please do! As a new player, I find your videos (and this video especially) to be invaluable. Hats off to you for contributing so much to this community. Thank you!
This is such a great vídeo it deserve's more
Finally I been watching your old videos since I just brought the game yesterday! I’m still lost thanks for this keep dropping these for beginners please! I’m trying to get good
I do need to lab a bit this been watching to much need to practice 😅
Goddamn that end combo. Also I’ve been playing this game for a decent amount of time and I still learned things. Thanks for the help.
LETS GOOO THANKS BRO ❤️
I’m just getting into competitive DBFZ. I originally bought it in November but wasn’t really good but now I understand all the possible moves and everything so it’s much more fun to play. Thanks for this guide!
Thanks man learned a lot !
Just started playing again and I got this game at launch, I remember being so excited when Broly and Bardock came out, time flies
Bought the game because it’s on sale for the Switch! Appreciate the nicely timed video.
Amazing video, thank you for the help
This whole video was VERY helpful, but the end was my face-palm/"THANK YOU!" moment, regarding L3 switching control in practice. I had been wondering why I kept switching over while practicing XD (I'm not surprised, I'm very heavy handed whether it's writing, laptop touch-pads, or controller sticks, apparently).
Man i just got this game, i wanna get better so bad. Saw a few of your vids and subbed. Your content is awesome and you deserve more subs :)
Excellent video
I picked up the ultimate edition yesterday and I'm still getting acclimated. This was very helpful to me as a new player.
Thanks for the tips I really appreciate it
This video helped a lot
27:14 Important detail about assist regeneration and sparking blast. note that if you use your assist while doing a combo and spark AFTERWARDS the assist will not regenerate unless you disengage or finish your combo, now if you use your sparking blast BEFORE calling your assist then the assist will regenerate during the combo like normal.
27:37 how do i even-
Dont have sex
Your a life saver thank u Soo much ❤️❤️❤️
Aw yes thanks for uploading
I knew all that already but imma like and share and watch also
Thanks a lot my man! Now I need to find optimal combos in every situation for my team (cell / black / vegito) and I'll be good to go. Still haven't played a single ranked match because I don't feel ready yet.
This really helped thank you
Insanely good deal on PSN for this so I snagged it. I am not a Fighter player at all (love me some DBZ though) so I totally appreciate this video.
im back in the game now! thanks!
As someone who just grabbed this game a few days ago this guide is suuuuper helpful. I primarily play Smash and Rivals of Aether so this so DBFZ is insanely complicated to me. You broke it down really well though
I would consider myself a veteran (living legend) and I didn’t even know about the insta dash shortcut. Thanks
Scratch that, there were like 8 tips I never knew about😂
Only fighting games I've played before Fighterz were the goold old Budokais on PS2 and For Honor on PC, so I struggle a lot with this game, thanks for the tips!
Needed this video
I played since launch and i never new dr can be held for more hits. Take my like! Thank you!
This is really good info to know. As a new player I'm getting tired of being juggled the entire match without a chance to do anything.
Also If a gold assist takes damage they will take more then a standard
Did not know that! Good info friend
Sorry I think they may have changed it
How could this video have even 1 dislike?
Thanks for the great video!
This has been the most helpful video by far for someone who feels the brilliance of the game just out of reach. I feel it there! As of now though I feel like I just endlessly combo'd and all I can do is mash- but your tips about recovering and the blue combo bar-- all so helpful. Thank you man.
happy to help friend
You Z change guide saved my ass, I always knew you could change into your partners Level 1s and Level 3s but I never knew how to, I eventually learned how to do it on my own but I didn't understand how it worked and thought what super it used was random, now I can kick my friends asses because I'm the only person in the squad who knows how to do this, thanks mate
I appreciate this Video. I've been playing Z for a while now and still I learned something new.
Why can't all Z fighting games have a fight style this complex
I jsut bought the game yesterday and I’m really enjoying it, my first fighter game
Smash player here roommate bought it and must say this is helping a lot
I’ve been wanting to branch out to try and put out new content...my heart was pulling me towards this game but I am...awful at fighting games like this. The terminology, the inputs, ect. Its like a new language but thanks to this guide I at least have a chance to understand what the hell I’m doing! Wish me luck!! And thank you for this guide!
My favorite thing to do since I got this game is go into training and just explore what I can combo off. Found out how crazy you can get with combos and changing at key moments to continue combos.Playing MvC growing up got me pretty good at assist combos on here, it's great dropping 75% of someone's health bar from a lucky dash combo that extends all the way to your third characters lvl 3 🤣.
As a total new player thank you very much for this video!!
Glad to help!
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! I was literally just watching the S2 version and I'm new to dbfz! feels good to have some tips when the game is updated with new mechanics and old combos arent valuable anymore for some char, and new ones are out ect; thank youuu!
33 informativ Minutes from the top of the Roof! (Is it possible to do more complex guides as well from time to time, like the CLASH OPTION SELECT, FUZZY JUMP, ESCAPING THE CORNER, DEAL WITH SPARKING? Thanks in advance T.Hawk
Thanks, you're our teacher, Rooflemonger! xD
Bless you king! I was getting tired of getting clapped by my friends
Give that man a cookie!
