He said at 16 we don't even stretch, and Kobe icing down his knees and watching film! LMFAO
Could You Imagine Kobe And Durant On The Same Team Oh Boy You'd Have Two Scoring Threats
Lmfaooo I love Kobe
Lol
@@futuregohan4837 They were on the Olympic team.
Too much skill not enough ball.
I love these Kobe Bryant stories
ESPN's agenda against Kobe Bryant keeps on getting exposed by current and past players Kobe to me top three of all time
Y yo
Weteer ryqeeyerby yew
Preach!
Exactly!! ESPN, Fox Sports and the media in general. The only question is how high the media conspiracy against Kobe's legacy goes.
pfunk42 a lot of it has to do is KLUTCH!!!
The fact that everybody think Jack won the mvp is funny I thought he was cappin
FACTS
Stack dont capp!!! He real af
Stack was really a dog tho .
High af at that 😂
The fact that all basketball players talk about Kobe like this when all non basketball analysts don't ever view him as a top 5 player, should really tell you something
Stak loves hearing old Savage ass stories you can see him just light up . The whole world with you and your twin stak ✊✊🏻✊🏾✊🏿
Yeah fam,Stak5 reppin💪
Uconn huskies need to be good again
I miss Kobe 😢😥
Like Kobe alluded to when they interviewed him on the show, there is no way you could have ever convinced me 10-15 years ago that I would be sitting here watching a podcast hosted by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, and that the podcast would be🔥🔥🔥🔥.
@Adrian Flores They been around since 2004 bro.. Google it
And it being given to us for free off CZcams
Adrian Flores ur salty lol
Listening to everyone talk about Kobe in past tense. Still can't believe he's gone.
I love the Ko8e reflecting talk!
I never knew how close he and RIP Hamilton were! #Mamba 4Lyfe
Me either there true competitors
Ain’t no better compliment than a Kobe Bryant compliment
I respect this humbleness. Thinking off the top of my head. The first person to give Kobe his pure props without mentioning the MJ comparison. Not only that, this was his opportunity to mention playing Kobe in 04' Finals and Duncan in the 05' Finals and didn't say a word about that. Can't stand the Nick Wright's, Max kellerman's of the world who wouldn't be able to dribble a ball in an NBA game but run their mouths with an opinion that's just a waste of time to pay mind. Fake intellectuals!
There’s those who played against him. Guarded each and every other night. Had first experience with Kobe. And there is those who sit at a table and talk from their asses. If NBA analyst says something against its understandable am talking bout kenny Charles Shaq and so on. Those yes sometimes they can be idiots but most times they’re right. But nick max knicks fan whatever his name is are bunch of idiots
Most of the time, the arrogant ones are the ones who never did shit for anything. All books, no walk. True practioners are humbled because they broke bones for something they're passionate about.
Their job is to get you emotional with outrageous controversial takes so that you respond by engaging in their comments section
And jason witlock..
Kobe stories will never get old #LL🐍
I’m showing my age but I have that 96 HS All American game on TAPE!! Classic!
Dope!
Ha stack will buy it for big $$$.
Bruh, UPLOAD IT!
Post it up please lol
For anyone that hasnt seen it:

9:25 Rips impression of Kobe was spot on lol...not really the voice but his inflections
Yea Kobe is a nut for basketball and thinks deeply about it he wanted to be better than mj
Finally giving Kobe some respect
gary corr even after his death he still gets a lot of disrespect...
Every time I listen to a Kobe's story, I just gain my respect to him a bit more. A real legend.
More Kobe stories plz.
I'm surprised Rip didn't do the interview in the mask 😂
Lol! The youngins ain't gonna get that reference. Hell, they probably don't even know who Rip is haha.
@@jefcergos it was funny to me how after his nose was good he just kept wearing it for the rest of his career. Wizards should have never traded him but I'm glad he and Ben Wallace got that chip just wish it wasn't against my Lakers
@@lg3385 Yeah, guess supersticion just took over with the mask. That Detroit team most definitely deserved that ring the old fashioned way. It was just the end of the line for that Laker team. Kobe got his time again tho. Rest in piece.
LOL
😂😂 I legit said that’s not Rip. Took me a long minute to remember that the mask ain’t a part of his face
Crazy how I grew up watching these guys in their primes. I remember Jordan and the bulls, but I was a kid then. Crazy seeing guys like Kobe, D Wade, Duncan, Dirk, KG, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Iverson, Shaq, T Mac, etc all retired. Everybody talks about the 90s, but the 00s and most of the 2010s were a great time to be alive watching the NBA. After LeBron, I'm not sure whether the NBA will ever be as exciting.
Just waiting for the day the early 00s get some respect on how intense defensively it was
Facts I’ve said the same thing, I grew up watching the early early 00’s, & 2010’s always said it wasn’t as interesting as now & the defense was more intense just everything! (Coming from someone who grew Up playing ball & played AAU) shit changed
Big facts
We need a Kobe movie with scenes just like the one RIP is talking about where he is about to play Tim Thomas.
Big time bring on Kobe Bryant movie
Hell yea the mamba memoirs. It’s all 🔥🔥
@@dlt7768 PRetty sure the title "mamba mentality" would be the best title.
I’m so tired of Quinn Cook telling me 5 guys from his high school team made the NBA
Haha
It’s true
He not lying tho
😄😄😄💯
🤣🤣🤣
Hey Bruh shout Jack and Matt love these dudes.. RIP you a real one always knew you was solid the best midrange game shooter in history. I miss my guy 😪 so much man we lost a legend too soon... RIP THA 🐐 KOBE BEAN...
80 out of 100% ex NBA legend and current NBA players talked about how Kobe was one greatest basketball players in history to ever leave and that's a fact.#missed you idol and rest in peace mamba4life.
RIP to Kobe and big salute to Rip!!!Rip is one of the best shooters off the pick that I have ever seen!!!
Rip's ISO game in Detroit was 🔥 perpetual motion, running through screens, buckets... they beat my Lakers but gained my respect back then.
This show is just 🔥🔥🔥🔥 can’t even say it enough
Great story. Legends never die. When he passed I was depressed for a month straight. 🙏🏽✌🏽
The world ain’t been right since
Still hurts everyday
Kobe wasn't meant to die he was suppose to die old. Way to soon man.
Me too man he was my idol Mamba forever
9:31 That confused stare when RIP said “What?” 🤣😂🤣
RIP was like “This dude’s an alien”
Kobe and Rip two of my favorite players.
Stephen Jackson is a legend smoked weed the night before the McDonalds All American Game & the only person is NBA History to give it to Greg Poplovich
That is impressive
Kawhi Leonard stuck it to pop also
Tryna be like stephen
Even when Kobe was alive, I always loved hearing Kobe's stories more then Jordan stories cause they be more funnier lol.... 😂
We need more stories RIP. Keep coming with the the stories of the legendary NBA stories man.
So Kobe was the basketball version of 2Pac. Bro never slept. That shows you how much it takes to be the best, not just what it takes to make it.
I remember Rip. Played against him all 4 years in highschool as I went to Upper Merion. Freshman year he came out didn't say a word but just killed it. Then came varsity and dude was on another level. Remember that game against Kobe too. It was at the Palestra in Philly. Rip had a real nice game but Kobe came out on top. Lower Merion definitely was more like a privot school but they had some real nice players. Coatsville was always nasty but it was out in the country for sure. Good memories.
Kobe and Rip Hamiltin on The same team. It's crazy how some of these say teams have multiple nba players on one squad
RIP and Ray Ray.....Masters of the Offball scoring! Give'em his flowers NOW!!!
its crazy how when you hear rip talk about Kobe kill mentality you'd swear they talking bout Jordan
The “kill” was out of MJ by the time they paired up
But they're not talking about Jordan the guy that crawled back to Pippin after baseball because he knew he couldn't win anywhere else without Pippen, they're talking about the greatest player ever Kobe Bryant, not Jordan who couldn't win a championship for the Wizards
@@kiteracer 🤔🤦🏾♂️

Hash Moncrief 6x Finals MVP
thanks matt!!! thanks steph!!! thanks rip!!! thank you for remembering kobe.. thanks for that wonderful story.. it's new to me rip.. thank so much ✌✌✌ you're all legends
I just remembered Duncan got the most all defensive team selections and Kobe and KG tied for 2nd. 3 of the best 2 way players ever
kobe had one more FIRST TEAM All-D, though. duncan had more TOTAL, and only because kobe's health/knees started to desert him.
@@ignoblesavage5559 so what Lobestan
Timmy still has more Finals MVPs and more MVPs and he was never empty handed when he got his first 3 rings 🥱
Kobe rode on 3 Shaq rings for nearly a decade 😒
@@ultimateyagerman and Shaq ride Kobe thru the western conference playoffs for 3 of their 4 finals trips, so Shaq could feast in sorry Eastern conference centers. Sounds about even.
@@ignoblesavage5559 not true
Kobe never faced an all MVP backcourt, while Shaq needed to outplay an MVP frontcourt in the paint to be able to save some of those playoff runs 🤦♂️ All kobe needed to do was make good on the doubles/triples that Shaq's presence demanded 🥱
@@ultimateyagerman wow. OK, if you say so, but I watched literally EVERY ONE of those playoff games, & while Shaq destroyed inferior competition in the Finals (no, he NEVER pulled the Lakers' fat out of the fire in the Finals), he was often played to a virtual standstill by Timmy, while Kobe had to go up against DPOY candidates like Bruce Bowen & Kenyon Martin. But especially those Spurs series...that was all Kobe, sir. Late game heroics to spark comebacks, last second game winner vs PHX, amazing teamwork WITH Shaq vs. Portland to lead a massive comeback...there's much more if you like.
Anyway, dude, just give some credit where credit is due. Even Shaq said in the midst of the 2nd run in 01, "Kobe's the best player in the league." That was when Kobe went off vs. San Ant. for 45 (IIRC).
It's OK to give the man some well-deserved credit. I swear it doesn't hurt a bit.
This show is everything. Each episode keeps getting better and better.
hearing his name & these funny stories gets me all teary eyed man.
Icing knees down??? Watching film??? AT 16???????
GOAT
Dawg that had me too. That’s crazy to be doing that at 16😂 boy different.
That’s not crazy 😭 that’s the life of high school athletes lmao

Gotta remember his former NBA player was dad probably gave him the game on that.
Glad to see RIP still reppin the D! We love him in Detroit. Thanks for all the memories.

The part when he was like y'all got to help Ben Wallace like I got shaq 😭😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
Very glad to see Rip Hamilton again and hear story’s, really love this episode
Luv to hear those type of stories on Kobe. Thx Rip
Every single person: “Kobe different”
This was priceless. Seeing Kobe from your perspectives cleared up some of my perceptions of him as a baller.
the truth from the beginning. current and former players know the deal.
Love these stories and your podcast is amazing
Man... This was a gold interview jist caause koby cant tell him himself anymore... It shows how his life continues with people like them and us having fun hearing his untold stories 😊
Keep up the the great content! Everything is fire. Legends never die.
Man, I could listen to Kobe Bryant stories all dayyyyy...stupid media try to exclude this man from the goat conversation
Real ones know what he was about
RIP homie
Good interview! As former college baller I marvel in delight to see these guys that made it to the league. Respect.
Yo Matt & Stephen, great show brothers, much appreciated. Yall former professional NBA players break it down in layman's terms for guys who may have played ball but just not at yall's level, however I can relate and I assume several bothers do the same. Listening to yall stories, I'm cracking up because I'm thinking man I remember guys exactly like yall speaking of. I subscribed, all in, God Bless.
Thanks for the interview gentlemen. 🙌🙏🏼
This show is one of the realest out there..huge props
Rip!!! Loved watching him on the pistons
Another great interview
Props to cutting these videos up the field needs more #salute
I'm a die hard laker fan but I hope manu makes it to hall of fame that man was dangerous
Me & you both.
Manu is making the Hall for sure. If Toni Kukoc made it, Manu making it
Love hearing MJ and Kobe stories!
Love hearing the little snippets about tim Thomas at the end
What's crazy is as just a fan watching NBA games without knowing alot of these stories back in the days, it's a trip to have seen these dudes play each other and not realize how deep their bonds were from early on. I would've never known how much alot of these guys knew each other and how well they knew each other. Esp Rip Hamilton. I was a huge Laker and Kobe hater due to being a Kings fan, and remember Rip getting his buckets on Kobe. It never seemed as if they knew each other outside of professionally on the court. I love hearing these stories of future stars in the making.
KObE IS THE GREATEST OF ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIME!!!!!
We all miss you MAMBA, Rest easy Bro 🙏🏻
His career didn’t pan out the way that even he expected...but SHOUT OUT to Tim Thomas cause DAMNIT, that man from Jersey!
My Boi Rip Hamilton I grew up on you man running off them picks and pulling up non stop....and he showed love he came to all the Cobo Hall high-school playoff/championships in the D much love bro
The media will try their hardest to destroy Kobe's career but the players who actually KNOW the game and played with/against him will always say otherwise and uplift his legacy.
Classic. RIP Kobe.
I love hearing stories like this about Kobe, I followed all his career and it’s true, he was a different beast, psychopathic it seems
Miss Kobe that was the good ole days NBA was amazing
Dam bro it all looks like surreal I hear the story and I can feel Kobe in the background laughing sitting next to this guys having a good time. Brings back memories of just how great Kobe was and his mentality. Good fucking job entertaining story boys.
Stat and Matt..!!! 💯💯💯💯
Love the videos 🔥
Love Rip. When I play NBA Live 2004 1vs1 no teams, I remember using Rip alot against my friends who use Kobe.
RIP IS STILL AWESOME
I love RIP Hamilton yezzzzirrrr Detroit Basketball
“Watch Rip, watch!” 😂😂😂😂
RIP was one of my favorite players back in the day.
Missing Kobe! Great stories!
love to see the vide of that Kobe vs Tim Thomas game
Props to Rip for keepin it 💯...even thought you was a bad boy💯💯
AWESOME
Da Ville in the house! Shout out to Rip, keep representing.
Good content
Every episode turns into stack talking bout 96 McDonalds game.
So
I love hearing kobe stories kobe, t-mac, and Iverson was my favorites in that Era Players wasn't taking games off either.
Am I the only one that barely recognized Rip without the face mask 😂🤣
Kobe stories is the best
Those early 2000s to 2008 pistons squads are very under appreciated people forget the pistons were 8 points away from going back to back against the 2 most dominant teams from 99 to 03 and only Lost 81-74 vs the spurs in game 7 rip,Billups, sheed, and Ben should all be hall of Famers and Tim Thomas was a beast
Classic!
Rip is a legend
I'm a simple man, i see kobes name I watch! Idol, gone too soon, goat!
Rip funny asl 😂😂😭
Love seeing The Ville represented!
Kobe was an absolute menace, and that's why he was the menace he was to this day.
that last part about him pacing the room saying he was gonna kill Tim Thomas. yo!!!
“Hot Cheetos and blunts, that’s what he eatin” 😂😂😂
I remember that Sam Rines AAU team was crazy at that time
