Im here to watch the best PG of all time Evan Monsky
you mean passer😂
Me too😂
Nash is a close second 😅
Literally just came from that press video
He’s actually not in this game if I remember correctly. He was already graduated.
Good footage putting all the misses and errors. He had tons of natural talent, but you can tell his biggest talent was his work effort.
His best talent was his BBC
And he got way better after he copied mj moves
@@gasolol9806 and I see nothing wrong with that
@@hoodyfrank7405 i dont either
@@gasolol9806stop hatin
Wow. You can see how much he really improved in his game over the years. He had raw talent but he worked tirelessly in the NBA to improve his game
Looks like he had a better handle back then
@@verdiernoyama9681lol not even close especially when he tried to spin down low and lost the ball. When Kobe was pro, there’s no way he turns that ball over and he probably would’ve finished it with an acrobatic layup or a savage tomahawk.
The best part of this video is at 10:41 , when Kobe finds his father in the crowd and they both hug each other. As a father, this had to be special, and now it's that much more special now that Kobe is gone. I couldn't watch this part without crying. Thanks for the awesome video !!!
Bet Kobe told him, I’m gonna get an NBA championship now, just watch 😬
Miss Kobe so much man!
My father, Michael Egan, was an assistant coach under Gregg Downer during Kobe's time at Lower Merion. I grew up hearing stories about games like this, amazing to have access to the footage.
Kobe was supremely talented with an extraordinary work ethic. To me he was like the Jerry Rice or the Walter Payton of the NBA. They weren’t the absolute most physically gifted or talented, but there relentless desire and drive to get better and ultimately reach the absolute pinnacle of the abilities they were blessed with, is what propelled them into all-time greatness.
Understand Rice but Payton looked like a specimen to me
What a archieve man. Thanks a lot to for the video. He’s just a teenager and he’s so good. Jerry West felt that.
But if u compare this to lebron in high school…different beast
@@jjjyli686 obviously LeBron was extremely physically talented and that’s not saying that Kobe Bryant wasn’t but even as a high schooler Bryant had that killer mentality and you just knew he was going to be something special
The game before this Kobe was dominate. Lower Merion played Chester in the PIAA Eastern Conference Championship at The Palystra in Philly. I was in attendance.... Chesters front line was all 6'8" and none of them could stop Kobe. Years before Kobes dominance there was a school outta Philly....Simon Gratz... with Rasheed Wallace..... check out that run.
1993 🎉
I read about this game the week it happened. Cathedral decided to run a Triangle and 2 defense against him. Basically created that Defensive scheme just for him. So he was double teamed AND had a triangle defense behind that. And he STILL put up those numbers. Well done Kobe!
My god he was so amazing
They did everything they could to prevent him from taking over the game w/ double and triple teaming him. Despite it, Kobe did what they feared; he took over the game. Even then, you could see his greatness!
He had 3-5 defenders on him each play even as a hs player the game plan was all 5 guard kobe guard everyone else when he passes 😂
This is such a rare gem! Immense kudos to you, thanks for sharing with all of us!
bro goin to lower merion knowing he’s gone hurts man😢😔
He developed his shooting when he got into the nba, his dribbling and passing was for sure nba level at the time.
I wear no.33 in my because of Kobe's first jersey number...
That was the start of Mamba Mentality
Fax im going to be a freshman next year and I plan on wearing 33 then 24 and 8 after
Kobe with the pose at the very end of the vid. Legendary. Rest In Peace Kobe & GG
Miss you Kobe forever my role model and inspiration, I hope you and Gigi are in heaven shooting hoops #MambaForever
Wow.. in heaven shooting hoops? Why can't he just be chilling on a beach? Why must he be shooting hoops? Is it because that's all you know him for? So if he was a jet fighting pilot would you be wishing he fighting with jets in heaven? People are so simple minded that you believe God has a basketball court in heaven. Why the hell would god have a court in heaven. I'm sure he doesn't have internet so why does your comment speak to kobe like he can see it? Is that not weird bro? Real life ask your self and answer with honesty. How simple is my thought pattern to everyday life. You'd be surprised with the answer. HAND
@@pineapplekrak6473 You good? Let him be 💀
@@demi7779 yea I'm good. But what u talking bout?
@@pineapplekrak6473 relax fam
Damn I thought I was done crying until I seen Kobe and his Dad hug😢😢😢😢
So much potential 🌷🙏
Kobe Bean Bryant 🙏😪💙 Always been a fan 😙
It seemed like Kobe was being more of a PG in high school. He was way more passive than he became in the NBA
Kobe played all 5 positions in HS lol. He had a complete game.
@@atlien1988 Well, his primary position in HS was SG technically speaking, but yes, they did play him at all 5 positions in highschool after his freshmen year. But I wouldn't say he had a "complete" game yet. He was still very raw coming out of highschool.
Woww Kobe the Goat 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌠#RIP they triple team him the whole game, and he still got the job done #Legendary
Kobe came a long way
Great footage. This also gives perspective on how dominant Lebron was in hs.
To See Kobe Parents Supporting him like this...I Just Wish He Would have treated them Better...Maybe he would have lived Longer...RIP Kobe Bean💯🕊❤️🙏🏽
Kobe was taller than all them fools 😂 R.I.P mamba. 🙏🏼
Dawk please tell me you archived those videos 😢 thats too many moments gone if the nba deleted them
Damn. Out of everything I was feeling the father son moment after the game. Don't really know why they fell out but hate that they couldn't fix it in time...
It is just so so heartbreaking 💔 that both he and his daughter and those on that helicopter suffered that horrific fate 😞 Simply heartbreaking 💔
Kobe doesn't have the Mamba Mentality yet in this video but you can tell how it came to be. He always had the focus.
Lol cus his teammates were trash! He getting double, triple teamed and they still just standing around watching! Like move around, get position and get the pass cus u gonna be open
dude I love your videos I just subscribed keep these videos coming please
They made Kobe work for that one. His teammates should've moved more and they would've got more layups. Props to the opposition for competing to the final buzzer.
Wow the skill level of highschool hoopers then and now is shocking.
And yet every young player still cant beat kobe, even from today
Well it’s probably because the Hs highlights u are use to seeing is private institutions that recruits only the best in the country while Kobe Bryant’s school was a public school that would be lucky to have 3 players over 6 foot 2
@@Rman237 no because I've played highschool basketball and still play basketball in men leagues and understand the talent that these kids posses. Basketball has just evolved from the time kobe played. Kids nowadays public or private are being trained and prepared for the league by actually pro trainers. So the skill gap has increased since this time for sure.
@@trav-c137 except football they were dawgs back then
@Yahweh Ministries why are you comparing hs kids to an nba legend? If you can't recognize basketball talent and understand the concept of potential say that instead of just speaking ignorance. When people who demean talent speak it's clear within your word choice you can't relate so all you can do is hate a belittle the talent.
Kobe always had sweet handles.
Young Kobe. Baby Mamba. Started with 33..💛💜
raw kobe was still better than certain nba players. You just knew he would be a great player. Look at the form, his pull up game, his handles. He had all the tools and worked hard and became the closest player to ever mirror the GOAT MJ
Kobe passed the ball in this one game more than he ever did in his whole NBA career
And on to the nba....
A big difference between HS NOW AND WAY BACK KOBES TIME a lot of Highschool players are highly skilled and the plays they making 😁😎 Kobe's is still my favorite HS player and straight to NBA
🐐
Wow he already looked just like nba Kobe
We miss you, Kobe
you never met him. How you miss him when you never met him lmao
@@arsenioseslpodcast3143 how do you know that I have never met him?
grabe ka talaga kobe bryant
I was at this game!
777th like on a video where Kobe was going crazy in the state championship!1
What does that mean?
I traveled to this game w/a friend as a 15 yr old. Got there an hour before the game, and they laughed when we asked for tickets. It had LONG been sold out. Really wished we would've thought to purchase tickets earlier.
9:09 is the best highlight
Kobe when he was younger he looked like tupac a little
🙏🙏🙏 ❤️❤️❤️
Some say this kid grew up to be something...
Hey Dawkins what happened to you're other channel vintage Dawkins?
2021 Mamba Mentality
KOBE KOBE KOBE KOBE KOBE!!!!!!!!
Sip king 🤴🏿
it was at this moment 1:06 kobe said to himself "fuck that i aint passing no more"
His ball handling is insane
The pro club tall tee was kobe's version of mike's secret stuff
2021
Who’s watching this for the first time in 2024
bruh kobe really been singe handedly carrying teams ever since he touched the ball
he was shit lol
Imagine a dude you go to high school with already rockin a bald head
The Black Mamba has always been the truth! :) RIP Mamba
The spin in 4:47 was clean.
Same Arena where Wilt Chamberlain scored his 100 points
Not as good as I expected but still good.
I'm here to watch the GOAT.....Evan Monsky
I think you mean the Evster’s HS championship
But seriously RIP Kobe man 40 is too young
KOBE PLAYING AS PLAYMAKER HE'S NOT SELFISH HE'S JUST TOO GOOD RIP KOBE GOAT BRYANT
That Box and One defense is a headache.
I wonder why he added the undershirt midway through
I don’t think he has the mental toughness to make it to the nba. Too flashy...
U got jokes
@@The_favorite_Uncle bad ones
Fr Hes still too raw with no sense of fundamentals
If he jumps through college I don’t see him having a successful career and he will go down as a massive bust
The rise of the Black Mamba!
Kobe was a chuck! He definitely didn’t pass even way back when
That charge call at 8:20 was one of the worst charge calls I’ve ever seen. The refs just didn’t wanna give him the calls he deserved
same with the travel 😂 NBA players be taking 5 steps these days and get and ones on the drive 🤣🤣
RIP Kobe😔🐅
Add box score
I didn't know Daniel Cormier was commentating back then too
Damn the announcers kept pushing him to go to La Salle. Interesting
Hearing the announcers discuss his possible college aspirations 😅
Was that a young Michael Redd in the red sweater
That thumbnail tho. Que Psi Phi 👀
Dang watching this makes me appreciate the higher resolutions.
Damn 5 vs 1
Guys, do you know what that hand sign that kobe did? I also saw it with shaq.
omega psi phi fraternity
He said there was a total of 71 points scored but there was 91💀
Does the announcer know any other players name? The only name you hear is bryant.
It's clearly that he first love magic that's why his number was 33 then he pattern his game to MJ to be 24
Rip Mamba 🐍
Hes got tshirt suddenly
3:56 surprised me looks like he’s dunking on a 8 foot rim
This had to be like 1995 or 1996
1995
This kid might be really good one day. Possibly the Jordan of his time.
I just hope nothing bad happens to him.
In all seriousness RIP Kobe.
MOSTLY THE FADE AWAY DEFINITELY THOUGH AN ALL START WITH HIGH WORK ETHIC PLUS SHAQ THE MOST DOMINANT TO DO IT HE WAS FASHO RING SNATCHIN THEY COULD HAVE GOTTEN A FEW MORE ALSO IF SO MUCH EGO WASNT IN THE WAY
Wait, which one is Kob... Oh damn, ok. There he is
He actually had a terrible game. But man is this cool to see.
Lower Merion HS 53 year drought is over,1st ever state title?🏆🏀
At first glance looks like MJ playing 1984 NBA teams lok
#33 #8 #24 😃🏀🖐🏾💪🏾
