Cleveland. . . First they nerfed the gun ballistics (which most U.S. light cruisers have been stuck with ever since) then skip up two tiers. Yup, it was overpowered but they could have backed off on the ballistic nerf. That being said, had not played it much until very recently, but then got surprisingly good results, even in Tier IX and X games. Trenlass showcases the cautious play style required - Cleveland is one salvo away from being sent to the bottom by Vladivostok, and almost any higher tier battleship.
Cleveland is actually an excellent anti-sub platform with it's hydro and planes. The shell arch's are OP in my opinion and not a detriment at all. It can actually be more than just a nusice to tier 10s when you run ifhe. It's an amazing ship when played within it's limits.
na bb are still better to kill subs if your chasing a sub then most likely you already won your side of the map or low iq sub. If no you'll change in an be instant kill counting on map and tier

i got 21:9 screens to play the cleveland because of the hang time of the grenades at range when she was still T6 . .

I struggle with this ship.
For a relatively new player, I quite enjoy Cleveland and Baltimore
T6 Clev 17.5km shooting over 2 mountains raining hellfire to all enemies, ripping the shit out of airplanes, the memories
The sub was at your spawn. Ships there were firing ASW into nowhere so it's gotta be the sub

I used the mini map to blindfire torps at a dd where he was heading, and then i got a dev strike on him. Can confirm, minimap strategy works. lol
Cleveland absolutely suck right now. Especially against t10's
