What’s happening in this Zoolander movie clip?
Derek (Ben Stiller) is complaining about Hansel (Owen Wilson). Meekus (Alexander Skarsgard) and his roommate suggest going for orange mocha frappucinos. They all go for a drive, stop at a gas station and have a gasoline fight. One of them lights a cigarette which kills all three of them.

Clear the runway for Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller), VH1's three-time male model of the year. His face falls when hippie-chic Hansel (Owen Wilson) scooters in to steal this year's award. More like influencers copied the lifestyles of models. Living together cuz the reality is that the actual money they make isn't much, being superficial, succeeding in life by the skin of their teeth until they're too old to matter to the industry.

The gas is worse, but the windshield cleaning fluid is disgusting after a couple weeks of people cleaning their cars. What a legendary scene.

This is just one of those beautifully absurd moments in this movie that made it great. The scene starts with Zoolander lamenting his life with his friends, who you expect to be supporting characters throughout the film, only for them to explode moments after being introduced and in the dumbest way possible.

I never really thought of it in that regard. But MacGruber did something similar when MacGruber travelled around in a montage to gather his crew of trusted associates, only for them all to blow up in a van immediately.

The first time I watched this movie... I didn't get it. It was odd. But so many people loved it, I figured I would try again. And you know what? It clicked on that second viewing. This movie is a comedic masterpiece.

I worked as a musician for Ben and his wife at a party and had a chance to talk with him. He seemed like a nice guy. His wife was extremely nice.
I shook his hand and said “Dude, you ‘killed’ in Zoolander”. I mentioned that while I was playing aboard a cruise ship, the only movie on the crew TV, for four months, was ‘Zoolander’. We never got tired of watching it…
