- The Bunduff is a small, unassuming River in the North West of Ireland. A river which most of the population will pass without ever being aware of its existence. But never was it more important for us to highlight the sheer beauty, diversity and importance of these pure rivers. Our rivers are the country's arteries and treasures, They need to be protected at all costs for both the wildlife that depend on them and for our future generations.
We filmed on the river over a twelve month period to record and unravel some of the hidden secrets of life on the Bunduff River.
Ireland's Atlantic Salmon resource is rapidly declining from the historic adult runs of up to 2 million fish in the 1970's to less than 250 thousand now reaching our shores. Out of 144 salmon river systems only 27 or 19% are classified as being not at risk or at low risk. (According to Salmon Watch Ireland). ( Please click on Keane Films logo to see more of our videos)

Really enjoyable video, beautifully made
Brilliant video
Magnificent video, commentary and images of the Bunduff River, its flora, fauna, the animal and bird’s species. For me, as a salmon angler, the magnificent salmon has a special interest. Great work, most people will probably not appreciate the hours you must have spent, over the 4 seasons creating this amazing video. I know, it’s not a competition, however this footage can certainly compete with the most professional naturalists. Congratulations to you both, keep up the great work. 👍👌😁 Aidan
Hi Ken, I just saw this video last night. How lovely. All your videos are. My gosh, I thought you guys were in France all these years - I guess you aren't and you are still in Sligo!! Wow. How did I think that?!!
Anyway, I just wanted to say that your videos are great! You've still got it!
Brings back many fond memories of where I fished as a child and still do thank God.Congrats on a brilliant piece of work
Wonderful video which will get played to the students of Magh Ene College, Bundoran in the not too distant future. In the past I have used the banks for Biology students for Ecology studies. This is just a brilliant relevant educational resource. Well done. Take a bow all those involved 😃
Beautiful! Great photography and commentary. Aidan Burns

Absolutely brilliant piece of work. It's obvious that a lot of hard work went into it.
A beautifully filmed and narrated video. Well done! Incidentally the Duff/Bunduff River is situated entirely in Co. Leitrim, apart from two sections where it forms the border between Leitrim and Sligo.
Beautifully done
