- What’s up guys! Here’s a sweet platform I’ve wanted to drive for quite a while now! The second generation LSA powered Cadillac CTS-V. One of the all time great American muscle sedans.

I also have an 11V sedan. Had mine since 2015 and still love it. No major issues with it. I just couldn't resist the urge to mod it up.👍🏾
Glad to hear your experience has gone so well! Auto or manual, and what’s been upgraded? I like that it’s your profile photo! 🙂
@Automotive Anonymous I have an intake, smaller upper pulley, long tube headers, x pipe, bigger injectors, heat exchanger, oil catch can and tune. Runs great.
Glad to hear it, that sounds like a reasonable build to also help with longevity! 🙂
How much is the maintenance? Stuck between this and a challenger RT…
@boberforever nothing outrageous. Fluid changes, oil, transmission, brake, rear end, etc. You do have to pay premium for the shocks, though ( magnetic ride ). Modding can get costly, but it depends on what you want. Gotta pay to play.
I own a 2011 CTSV and proudly enjoy this vehicle gave my wife the 2018 Hellcat so I did not give this caddie up just has the best of both worlds
You guys have some sweet rides!! 🙂 Thanks for watching.
LOL ... Indeeed a man that cares...
I own a 2011 CTS-V. I still love it. I look forward to other cars, but I just can't part with my Cadillac. Thanks for the video!
That’s awesome! I’ve always thought these V2’s were absolutely incredible, very excited when I had the opportunity to drive this one! Thanks for watching and sharing your love for it! 🙂
Never sell it. Have you seen the price going up??? its crazy.
Love the history lesson you gave 👏🏻
Takes a wise person to appreciate history! 😉
blows my mind these things are going for $40k. I bought an 09 with less than 9k miles over seven years ago for $35k
Absolutely agree! I just did a modified FJ cruiser I’ll upload soon. I bought an 07 in 2015 that was Supercharged and other tasteful mods for almost half of what they’re asking for this one I just reviewed one. 😢 we should have been investing in sick enthusiast cars last decade, lol.
There's one (coupe) for 31k in my area. Tempting
I have a 2010 sedan with the Recaro seats and without moonroof. Fun car.!
That sounds sweet! Auto or manual?! 🙂
Traded my e39 M5 and some cash on top for a 2011 wagon in radiant silver. It’s automatic unfortunately but it has 22k miles and red stitch recaros from factory. It’s been my dream since these power wagons came out to own one, I made it happen 💯
E39 were sweet, but a V wagon?! 😍 congrats on obtaining such an incredible muscle wagon!
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 I’m still in disbelief 🫣thank you brotha 🤙🏽
I own same car 2009 LOVE IT!!!!!!
That’s awesome, they’re incredible! 🙂
Same here!
That's what I want
2015 cst v coupe with a stick, red stitching, Black on Black, with red Brembo's. I pussy this car. I will be burred in it. The only mod was removing the mufflers and running 3" pipes to the back.
Very nice, I bet it sounds good! 😍
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Indeed I love it. I kind of like the authenticity of every engine that way. Tuned mufflers do sound awesome, but present minor interferences that I rather not have. Its like a great steak and putting steak sauce on it. I can generate the exact pop and back firing equally with every gear change if I like. The sound is amazing this way. Its also a great way to know immediately if something important changes within the engine.... I have two CTS 2nd Gens, My first was 2012 v6 3.6 liter with an exterior body modification to look like a V. And finally I was able to get the real deal. I gave the 3.6 to my girlfriend.... Oh no worries she and I have been together for 14 years and the car is safe on my driveway... The 2015 V I drive.... Thanks for your post...
Copped mine with high miles for 18k. Will never get rid of it
That sounds like a steal! 🙂
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 this was pre COVID before the prices went bonkers
Near the start of Covid I test drove a low mileage Chevy SS sedan for like 26k. Likely won’t see one of those again either, lol.
Is 90k miles for 18k running driving with needing a few thousand (tires and maintenance) today (late 2023) good deal?
@@keithseiwert2256 for the performance you get versus new YES
What wheels did you buy for the front and rear?
If you’re referring to the vehicle in the video this was just a dealership car I borrowed. As far as I know they are just a factory oem wheel. 🤷♂️🙂
One of my favorite cars that I owned - except the auto tranny was garbage.
How long did you own one for? I’ve always thought these were so cool! It’s the first older auto GM tranny I’ve driven since selling my LS1 Trans Am (unfortunately A4) almost a year ago, and almost forgot what a decade of difference feels like compared to the 8-10 speeds.
Why don't you like the auto trans? I love the 6L90 in mine, shifts very firm in sport mode and soft in drive mode even with the power I make
Your not gonna get 700hp with headers intake and just a tune.. might get really close to 620 though,Texas speed has great packages that will get you big gains...
Even with a pulley you think it would be in the low 600’s flywheel? That’s good to know, I had just assumed those 4 mods would net it 20% more power or close to 700. 🤷♂️😎
You could get around 670 hp with a cam, pulley, heat exchangers and injectors
Got to know how to drive that thing it's a race car and only thing you have to do is put it in manual
It’s incredible for sure! After driving a bunch of new stuff the automatic, while good, definitely shows it’s age in comparison, lol. Swap a 10 speed into this and it would be more potent! 🙂
upset i didnt buy one yrs ago when they were cheaper. now i have to pay for that mistake.
It’s hard to imagine they will drop in value at this point. Especially with how many people have mentioned that they will never sell theirs… 🥲
Look in Cali bro few out there for like 25-30k 100k miles not bad honestly for what u get
$40K for a 12 year old car which originally sold for about $65K when new? No thanks!
The coupes and wagons are especially rare.
@@w.w.1348the sedans look better though
@@pistolpete02 I can't confirm that thought...
Sedans are more rare. Especially manual@@w.w.1348
Nice ride with dark depressing interior.
All in all it is pretty for an over priced Chevy
You only say that because you've never driven or rode in one. That'll change your opinion pretty quick....
Says the broke person whos jealous they can't afford one lol
@@Fony_turgeson Says the person who’s not stupid enough to buy Unreliable junk and in 23 paid cash for a new Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab, long bed with the Premium and Technology pkgs with power running boards, trifold tonneau cover, mud flaps, custom 2 tone paint and custom Leather upholstery to match the 2 tone paint.
@Doc1855 lol. It's not unreliable..oo the big man bought a Tacoma? That'll show them. Least u were smart and didn't get the 24
