- Real Diamond Ore (Lamproite) the host rock, is a black hard rock with yellow or white spots throughout the entire rock. We will also see what’s inside the blue buckets labeled Unsearched Worthington Diamond Mine Ore, and see if it’s real or fake. I’ll let you be the judge! Plus looking through a digital microscope to see the difference in the two so called Lamproite. One comes from a real diamond mine the other one doesn’t.

that' would be to small for gem quality. If it's gold it will be in black sand not brown and there were no diamonds in that
@Richard Niggemeyer ah maybe its just that i do Lapidary and any diamond. Especially small stuff is great for polishing! Commercial quality is all fine and dandy, but industrial is still important!

Diamond ore comes in many different natures. Richest is normally a sandy tuff and the lamproite lava with spots as you pointed out is often the poorest in diamonds

I am a south African diamond prospector and have found many diamonds. recently sold more than 250 carats. Not from lamproite or kimberlite but from alluvial gravels. In Lamproite you would probably need to process 10 tonnes of ore to find one carat of diamond so your chances in a 22 pound bucket to find 1 carat of diamond is very slim. you would need to process 1000 buckets to find a carat of diamonds and that would be considered rich in a diamond mining operation
You're right I am surprised they don't know this. The kimberlite, lamproite, and lamprophyre carry the diamonds they don't generally contain much but industrial grade.

I fell for it and purchased some material from this mine a few months ago. I got the same useless dirt.
It doesn't always look exactly like that there are three volcanic diamond bearing rocks this is only one lamproite, kimberlite, and lamprophyre.
Is it possible a fern type plant could be fossilized in lamproite? I'm thinking I found one
