- The Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa is a sports motorcycle made by Suzuki since 1999. It immediately won acclaim as the world's fastest production motorcycle, with a top speed of 303 to 312 km/h (188 to 194 mph).
After a long operation the engine of this motorcycle deteriorated so it was taken to us for repairs.

Currently rebuilding the transmission of a 2004 Hayabusa… just waiting for parts which have been back ordered for a few weeks… upgrading the selector forks to billet and also the selector for shafts…
Buy the whole rebuild kit to avoid future issues there is a trans rebuilding kit around 500$

Good morning. I have a Hayabusa of the 1999. I see the cylinder head lubrificant hose near the attachments of the exausts. If that hose got to be replace, how the replacement can be done? Thanks

Screws on the engine aren’t loose the factory uses good tightening specs to keep all seals well under pressure to insure long life if you tighten too much you may cause the seals to flatten out and create bubbles where oil may degrade it and escape by pressure build up second over tightening screws will lead to thread damage and unseen cracks in the engine block follow specs to insure warranty doesn’t get voided in case you want SUZUKI to still accept your bike

You say the engine had never been disassembled, but at 1:13 an X has been marked on a piston which I doubt survived while it was last running.

how do you time the crank balacer? is there any dots on the main crank?
Yes depending on the year there is a dot to the line up with line on the starter clutch other years the starter clutch will only slide on the key 🔑 of the crank

Labour: $1600-2000

Great work, one question if possible. I noticed on my busa (2000) a "hole" below the starting engine. Parts schemes and workshop manual seems to not mention any screw in there.. can you confirm it or it's a bolt that went wild? Seems not connected to the starting engine behind below it in the empty area.

It's a pretty normal engine. What makes it that fast? Aerodynamics cannot be the secret because ducati has more aerodynamically advanced shapes
Your age is pretty obvious so here's an advice for future preference: *_Believe none of what you hear, and half of what you see._*
a ducati is not more aerodynamically shape than a busa. a busa has more of a teardrop shape vs a ducati sport bike has sharp edges and winglets. the busa’s shape was influenced by wind tunnel testing for top speed. prioritizing high speed and function over looks.
Sheer displacement and japanese craft makes it that fast
Gearing mainly, the Busa is really tall geared, will do 70mph in 1st, 70-80mph in top gear feels like nothing, you can shift down into 1st at 20mph, low down torque and power from idle means it still has a fast 0-60 time, what is amazing though is it's a very easy bike to ride, it's a big pussy cat.

I stopped watching when the torque wrench was used to remove cylinder head bolts! Do you also have a good torque wrench for assembly?
yeah, that was dumb, that torque wrench was from the 70's, and you NEVER use a torque wrench to loosen bolts . . EVER!
Well, the overlay text did say it was already broken, so maybe he was trying to evaluate the breakaway torque on the existing head bolts.
