I absolutely love that you now have this experience with Grandpa! I hope you treasure this experience forever đ
I was just going to say the same thing! So special....and so fortunate to have this time together! Don't hesitate people, go do something with your parents and/or grandparents before the opportunity passes! Thank you for sharing this Eva! From Teri in Michigan, USA
I know. It's priceless
I sensed Such warmth and security in you as you worked with your Grandpa and enjoyed your Grandmaâs love and care. It was wonderful to see you being cared for and being with your family, Eva.
Itâs great you get to spend time with your Grampa like that. He cherishes these moments as much as you do.
Came here to say the same thing. Any time I get to spend with my granddaughter is pure joy.
Great comment â€
Try to spend some time and cherish every moment, they are around. It happened to me that I lost both grandpas in a span within a year.
Everyone has to start somewhere. No fuss ! Great to have a Grandpa to help. I am sure he has enjoyed helping you, being of use to his grand child, being valued for his experience to help you. Fulfillment that only grandparents know.
I love how your grandparents donât mind being in your videos and while you casually talk in another language to a camera. â€
You are so very lucky to still have your grandparents. Treasure them. â€
You'll always remember the wonderful time you had with your grandfather building something together!
I think this episode made me smile the most of all your videos. While it matters it fits and works, your time with your grandparents is more important than how you put wood and screws together. Sitting down to lunch with grandma, grandpa and potato pancakes is priceless.
It warmed my heart to see your grandpa helping you. My young granddaughter calls me PawPaw. I hope I'm around for a long time to teach her things and help her when she needs it.
Many years ago, when I was in High School I had a project where I needed to get the dimensions of our house. I thought that I would have to measure each room's walls on the inner part of the house. My Mom knew that I was struggling so she encouraged me to ask my Dad for help. When I asked him, he took me outside and we measured the house and with his help, it was actually a lot easier. My Dad passed away last year and Eva is right, cherish the family you have around you and keep alive the good memories! Your project turned out great Eva!!
The most important thing here is making memories with Grandpa! You needed him with this project but I assure you that he needs you a million times more!
As a grandfather I know how happy you have made yours. Stay close and give your grandparents lots of love.
I just spent 22 minutes of complete carefreeness. Thank you!
Quits camping, stores camper, buys car. Turns car into camper⊠I for one love it!!! And I get it, just a overnighter etc
Everyone starts out a rookie at everything until we learn it. Learning from your grandpa, priceless! â€ïžđšđŠ
Absolutely! Never take your grandparents for granted. Just lost my grandmother last year. She was 108. This is a great opportunity to spend with your grandparents. Enjoy! And how lovely to have the memory on film.
I am sure it was special for your grandpa to help you with this project, it will always mean a lot to you that you have this memory. Congrats and I hope you make awesome memories with your new car đ„°
What a grand time that you and your grandfather got to spend together and him showing you so much! Cherish it and yes be thankful. What a joy! Cant wait to see the rest of the build đđ
@officialEvazuBeckry not sure how to do that
Every time you use that rig, no matter where, no matter the weather or conditions, you will always have the treasured memories of building it with your grandpa đ
Long and faithfully may it serve !
Here here Amen to that đ đ â€đ
Love your Grampa. My youngest daughter just told me today that Iâll be a grandpa for the forth time. I have changed how I eat to stay healthy for them. Plant based has changed everything. But so glad you have your grandpa
Oh, Eva, I am from Poland and partly, because of your channel, and watching you with your grandparents, I am missing my Poland even more. Well done on your camper! :))
Your Grandparents have a LOVELY home! And quite a shop for your Grandpa!! And the area they are in is STUNNING! WoW!! And congrats on the project !!
2 minutes in and I knew your grandpa was exactly what you needed in your life right now. When I first saw your grandma in one of your videos a long time ago it was obvious you were truly at home with her. It is cool to see you home. I bet they think so too. Vilk owns you. When he sat down on you he was telling you how it is. That was a good laugh. He turned out to be such a good boy. I hope he loves your grandparents too.
The fact that you can share something like this with your grandpa and grandma is priceless! May you enjoy them for a million years to come! âŁâŁâŁ
Admitting you don't know how to do something just shows you're willing to keep learning. Keep doin you girl!
she needs to wear safety glasses. even when helping on the table saw
â@@Curling_Racksawdust in the eye is extremely painful, I wouldn't want to find out what a splinter feels like!
Hi Eva I am Zulfiqar Ali Mughal a CZcamsr watching from Hyderabad City Sindh Pakistan â€
A big fan of your adventures â€
I lost my grandfather at 20. He was a master carpenter who worked on some major projects in the area in his day, including foreman on a nuclear plant that's out of commission and something called "the fish ladder" on the Connecticut River. I would've loved to learn his trade, but he was already out of work on disability by the time I was a little kid. I do have one great memory, simply building a fence in the backyard of the house he had built for his family. It was really cool to have done something like that with him.
i think its sooooo cool you're working a project with your grandpa. i wish my grandpa was still alive to work on projects with. i'm certain that working on a project with you means so much to him.
Sorry, Eva, but i'm not on any social media
I love seeing you and your grandpa working together. I miss my grandpa all the time. This video made me smile and warmed my heart.
Fajnie mieÄ takiego kompetentnego dziadka, ktĂłry ma wszystkie narzÄdzia pod rÄkÄ i sĆuĆŒy dobra rada.
Cool project to build with your grandpa! Memories and good times for life
How incredibly special to still have your grandparents and get to do a project with Grandpa. đ Im happy you got to create this with him. Makes me think of my father. When he was alive, he taught me so much in his woodshop and I also kept his old scissors. They were the best! He always kept them so sharp. Enjoy your new camping adventures. đ
Grand-parents are the best. I lost my âGrampyâ at 11, but he had already started showing me how to use basic hand tools. I have always regretted that he didnât get to show me more. Nanâs always have yummy foods to hand - itâs just the law đ. I hope you enjoy the camper once made xx
Awesome video as always Eva and Vilk. Yâallâs grandparents are such awesome people.
I love to see those lovely relationships, enjoy your grandparents, you are so fortunate to have them.... they have so much impact in our lives, I learned so much of them from the other side...lovely that they love to take care of you and guide you.
I loved seeing you work with your grandpa. You will never forget those days.
Love love love seeing you working with Grandpa. It warms my heart â€
Insight ... Candor ... Humor ... Superb Storytelling !
Thank you for sharing your grandparents. I recently heard a CZcamsr say they âuse toâ write in a journal. Now they donât have time because of CZcams.
I paused and thought what are you doing right now? CZcams is journaling. Itâs just a different way of doing it.
Documentation like this is priceless when youâre his age . To reflect upon these moments with this amazing footage.â€.
Most of the time this kind of videoâs show âperfectionâ. Nothing goes wrongâŠ. A bit unrealistic and giving you the feeling that will never happen with your own project.
This video, from Eva, is realistic and that I like! Sometimes you struggle, most of the times it goes very well! Well done!! And Eva⊠you can and should be proud!! đđ»
And I like your grandfather! A haven of peace!
Thank you for sharing your grandparents with us!! It is so wonderful you still have them available to interact and learn from. In most ways the "old-time" ways are still the best ways. Hi Vilk!
Grandpa joking in the end! So sweet of him! Building stuff is a growing passion, it's like a puzzle. If you have seen in done there is always a solution that you can find, if it hasn't been done you can try ( and again and again and again). Every building task is a new learning opportunity that enriches the way you think and understand every single piece of furniture. As you can understand I am into building and fixing things. All the above is why I am fascinated by it. Plus it gives me bonding opportunities with my dad, so it's cool.
Favorite moment đ€© seeing Eva and Gpa working barefoot on Polish cobblestone together đŠ¶ Your build looks just right for you Eva đ
Your grandpa is so cute explaining and letting you do it but not letting you downs when situation overwhelmes you!
đ†love how you're taking on the challenge. What a gift to do this project with your grandfather.
With 26 years building cabinets for a living, I can say with all certainty..you did a wonderful job! Hardest thing is deciding what you want for certain, but then it's all gravy after that! Again, great job!
are you kidding ? If that thing doesn't fall apart from being jolted around during backroad travel then i'm a monkeys uncle . and Why didn't he use a plywood blade to rip the plywood ? and Why not use a thicker plywood to anchor those screws which should not be anchored in the plywood ends anyway . Unless you are just trying to be nice by telling her how good it is , please , be real !
There are very few incompetent people in the world, just inexperienced... At 78, I know a great deal more than my body can still accomplish, but no one knows anything until they have done it or studied it. Your videography and editing have improved a great deal, however you seem to sense what looks right to most of us. I have watched a few with fantastic content but no idea how to capture it in a watchable way.
I love the part where you say it's so empowering to be able to use the tools. All too often, we take for granted the skills required to build things. Looking forward to the rest of the build.
My grandpa taught me how work with tools and had help him with many home projects...
I still miss him dearly đ
Your very blessed to be working with your grandfather â€
Time with Family is PRICELESS. You know Eva, i think you can push that front passenger seat forward & be able to sleep vertically instead of on an angle.
Eva. You are your grandpa's apprentice. †You will pick up all the skills and be able to do home renovations when you buy or perhaps build your new home đ I felt so happy watching you work with your grandpa. And spending time with your grandparents. Priceless. đ„°
So lucky to have Grandfather, the time spent with him is more important than thing fixing your mini camper
I bet your grandparents are thrilled to have you come visit. My granddaughter is coming to visit tomorrow. I just got back from town. I bought all of her favorite foods. Well, I did forget the chocolate milk. This is a memory making moment. I hope you had a good time with your grandparents.
You said it already but I'm going to say it anyway....you are so lucky to have grandparents still...I would give almost anything to have another hour with my grandparents, I miss them so much
Eva, you are blessed with loving grandparents. You are right, we should all appreciate our beloved grandparents!
just for future reference... When you put in top doors, cut just the hinge side, install the hinges, then cut out the rest. Always a perfect fit... even bad cuts will line up perfectly. :)
Such a great example of being willing to step out and be a beginner and being proud of what you achieve. Even if it can't match the level of somebody who's a professional. It's a great way to start anything new. đžđ§Ą
Working with your grandpa is so special. Iâm a grandpa to12, and one great grandson. I feel so loved by all of them. Iâm 75. Ages range from 6 months great grandson to 25âŠ.
Eva you are priceless. Absolutely show exactly who you are. I believe when you put your mind to anything you can and will make it happen. Watching you with the grands made my heart happy for you. Thank you for posting to entertain, educate and share your journey, we LOVE you! We love you too Vilk! đ©·
How awesome it is watching Eva and giving a thumbs while sitting at my messy office doing the work I don't like!
Keep it going Eva, you are my daily habit of passion â€
I love this Eva and the moments with your grandpa! Thank you for showing us we don't need to be perfect and that we can always learn something from scratch and ask for help. I think we don't need to have everything figured out, I guess most of us don't have these skills unless we learn or need them at some point. We are so used to seeing the final result in so many CZcams videos that we forget all the tears and the hard work that were put into it. We are not perfect, we are just humans.
Sadly I never got to know my grandfathers. Grandpas seem to be a most encouraging and supportive force! Yours has been checked and confirmed to be a real treasure! đ€
A also already see that Vilk will really love spending the nights there, sleeping all across you, smooching you occasionally, kicking you accidentally when waking up with an itch at the neck⊠âș
It'll be great in a lovely chaotic way! đ€
My dad is like your grandpa. He is a precision machinist, but a freakish near master of all trades. He always works PAINFULLY slow, but every job he has ever done is artful perfection. Definitely good life lessons in older generations.
I am guessing that your Grandpa can fix anything.
My brain: "Don't say it. Don't say it. DON'T SAY IT!"
My mouth: "I love how you handle that caulk!" đđ
You can strengthen the drawers by adding some 90 degree "L" brackets. You especially need them where the piece with the handles connects to the sides and bottom. Otherwise, they may break apart when pulling them open with excess force. Good job, and also great memories you have created with your grandparents,
right , and she should have used them everywhere instead of screwing directly into the thin plywood edges because they will surely pull out with all the bumpy back roads stressing them
Grandpaâs are great! Nice to have their knowledge and know-how to get things done!
Wow, showing your incompetence is what inspires us, your 'just do it' attitude is the best!
You may have conquered the world with your many great escapes but deep down, there is still that
child in you. Great to see you spending time with grandpa and learning some skills from him. Have fun in your mini camper!
Its great to see you sharing these experiences with your grandpa and I love your conversion
Everyone on CZcams seems to be such professionals when you look at DIY builds. It's so refreshing watching you not doing everything perfect but still be happy and proud of your work. It really gives me confidence to give something like this a go knowing I don't have to be perfect as well.
A lifetime memory for you Eva, this time with your grandfather. It's the same for your grandfather as well, as this is something that will stand out in his mind - time spent with you, and he feels he's passed something down to you.
As for building something yourself, there is something so empowering in using a tool to successfully complete a job. It can be very addictive! Lol. COVID saw me essentially take over as the building manager at work, and my tool collection has expanded almost exponentially - and I have ZERO regrets in buying and learning to use, each and every tool. Embrace your tools! Learn to use them, master them, even fix them. It's a time investment that pays back in so many different ways.
Way to go with the drawers! Your grandpa rocks! And his lesson about slowing down a bit, nowadays is priceless as we are go-go-go with everything being so instantaneous. Looking forward to the next build :D
As a Grandad I always appreciate any âhelpâ my grandkids can give me. I
Those times are now some of my best memories and as long as you are learning something new itâs great for me. I am sure your Grandad feels the same. Treasure these times and memories girl.
That was such a fun episode! Your grandpa is awesome! What a fun and rewarding experience!
This is awesome! I know you question yourself at times, but from an outsider, it looks like you push forward and are a great example of what is good in the world. Next to my mother, my grandfather had the biggest impact on me. He was a sailor, road Harley's, then after he retired he ran a semi-truck/lorry company. He is a big part of the reason I went in to the Marines and currently a cyber nerd building a Harley in tribute to him. Your wood working skills are better than mine.
I lost both my parents before I was 25 years old and I didn't ever get to know my grandparents. You are very fortunate to have those relationships. Great construction!
Grandpa wisdom and Grandma cooking is gold!
I Love when you are speaking Polish, I am Czech so I can understant almost everything â„
I hope you and your grandfather have a chance to cherish your time together. What a fortunate man he is! I don't have any grand children but if I did I would want them all to be like you. Have fun! â€
Incompetency is what makes us human! I think I speak for all your fans when I say that your rawness is a quality that we like about you. Keep being you!
It's neat how your prior experience living in a truck helped you come up with a good design for this project
Eva, you're both amazing and at the same time terrifying. Amazing because you can do literally anything you put your mind to and terrifying because you're carrying heavy things with no shoes on! Having worked in construction I can tell you that you will always drop something and gravity will make sure it lands on your foot or toes. Mostly toes. Wear shoes when building stuff. P.S. Nice job on the drawers, well done, your grandpa must be proud of you. đ
Live this episode and your work Eva. Treasure them always, I am unfortunately one of the few who never met my grandparents they died before I was born as my parents had me late in their lives . You are very fortunate to have them, always seek their love and guidance!
If I remember correctly your uncle helped you on the first Odyssey build. It's good to see you and your grandpa working together â€ïž
Aww. Paw-paw helped Eva. Good times. I wish my PawPaw was still around to cut wood with me. His parents were from Poland and came to America with zero English skills. Your pawpaw reminds me of him. He cane from a family of 9 kids, all 1st generation Americans born from 1900 to 1920s. I was lucky to know him ! He taught me home building skills just like yours did. He was a homebuilder as well.
I agree with all the previous posts. It's amazing that you get to spend time with your grandpa & don't fret too much over the small stuff. Even if you mess it up it's still invaluable experience.
3:34 I love that your first step âit leaves me time to plan thingsâ is having a walk with Vik đđđ
Well done Eva! The only way to learn a new skill is to dig right in. I am glad that you still have your grandpa. I lost both of mine during the same week when I was six years old. Treasure the interaction; it is golden.
You've said in your past video 2 years ago, "Defenders are better than Land Cruisers, oh I've said it", then now you have a Land Cruiser. Good luck to your new rig. Land Cruiser is greater than Defender. God bless!!â
"Maybe it's not very smart of me to make it so public on the Internet that I am incompetent at certain things..."
I love that you made this point because so many people pretend to be something they're not. It's refreshing when people are just open about themselves in this way because you're being real and when we are real in front of others, a lot of other people go, "Oh, okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one" and are willing to open up too. Love you for this Eva. Keep it up girl.
Great video, Eva! As a Grandma I know how much it means when the Grands stop in! This was a treasured time for you & them. Making memories is what itâs all about. Love & Blessings until next time!! â€ïžđđ»
You can't make fool of yourself by learning and trying out new skills. It was interesting to watch đ Great project! Awesome LC! đđ
My short time with the only granpa I ever knew was educational at least. His philosophy was do it right or don't do it at all. He was German and had that attitude, and so that is what I herited. I still carry that attitude today after 50 years. Eva, listen to your granpa, he will steer you right sweetie.
Excellent job for your first time project!!! Seeing your satisfaction, pride and joy at the job you were doing coupled with the happiness at working with your grand-dad was priceless.đ well done!
This video honestly made me so happy! Wonderful to watch someone be so authentic about their skills and encourage us all to just give it a go! Also extra warming to see the way you shine with your grandpa - what a special moment âšđ
Grampy & Grandmom is awesome. For the potato cakes!!! Nice build!!!
I love listening to you speaking Polish with your grandfather.
It such a great bonding with your grandfa Miss Eva. Your very lucky to have a grandmother that willing to help you at particular adventure things.â€
I'm happy you are going to have long lasting treasured memories of you and your grandpa working on your new vehicle.
love listening to you talking in polish (to your grandpa đ). đđđ so lovely!
my heart goes out to you and your grandpa and grandma, you and they are happy to have each other with love
